Vance Worley's first major league start in over a year was a good one, as the righty held the Marlins scoreless over seven frames Sunday.

The righty allowed five hits -- four of them singles -- while striking out five and walking no one. Unfortunately, he was removed after 95 pitches and watched the bullpen cough up the lead, costing him a win. Worley will make at least another couple starts while Francisco Liriano (oblique) is on the disabled list and should be owned in NL-only leagues.

Despite his recent struggles, it's possible someone will take a chance on him.

It's a very encouraging sign that he's able to do so without experiencing any pain. He had been pitching better in recent weeks though, and could still be a candidate to return to the Twins' rotation at some point before the end of the season.

Worley was handed a no-decision because Minnesota didn't capture the win until extra innings. The 25-year-old righty looked sharp all afternoon against a decent White Sox lineup, racking up seven strikeouts while scattering five hits. He will get the Rangers next.
