Wed Mar 4 201513:39Allen (suspension) will play Wednesday
Allen (suspension) will play Wednesday, the Memphis Commercial-Appeal reports.
Allen got into a physical confrontation with Nick Calathes during practice recently, and coach Dave Joerger suspended him for Tuesday's matchup with Utah. Allen was on the team flight to Houston, however, and all signs point to him returning to action Wednesday night.
Tue Mar 3 201518:22Allen will be suspended for Tuesday's contest versus Jazz
Allen will be suspended for Tuesday's contest versus the Jazz, the Grizzlies' official site reports.
Allen's ban is the result of internal matters. While his absence could afford Jordan Adams some time on the wing, expect Allen to return for Wednesday's game at Houston.

Allen (ankle) added two points (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds, one steal and one block in 24 minutes during the Grizzlies' 100-90 win versus the Jazz on Wednesday.
Allen (ankle) was able to give it a go on Wednesday, but produced a less than inspiring stat line. He doesn't provide the consistent scoring touch that Courtney Lee or Jeff Green do, and he's taken a back seat since Green was acquired a few weeks ago. So long as Allen is healthy, his defense will continue to earn him quality minutes off the bench, but the addition of Green hasn't exactly helped his value in fantasy. The Grizzlies are back in action on Friday versus the Wolves.
Wed Feb 4 201519:59Tony Allen: (Ankle) Available Wednesday
Allen (ankle) is available to take the court Wednesday at Utah, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Allen's left ankle has been a bother of late, but he's still managed to play in each of the Grizzlies' last three contests. During that span, he averaged 8.7 points (on 38 percent shooting), six rebounds, two steals, and 1.3 assists in 24 minutes.

Allen (ankle) is considered questionable to play Wednesday against the Jazz, Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Allen missed two games at the end of January with an ankle injury, and he emerged from Monday's win over Phoenix with soreness in the ankle, as well as some discomfort in his right hamstring. Neither issue is thought to be serious, but Allen is in jeopardy of missing Wednesday's contest. If he's ultimately held out, Nick Calathes could see a few extra minutes off the bench.

Allen (ankle) posted 10 points (5-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 24 minutes during the Grizzlies' 102-101 win versus the Suns on Monday.
Allen was listed as probable to play heading into Monday's game, but showed no signs of being slowed by the ankle ailment. He seems locked into a new role coming off the bench with Courtney Lee and Jeff Green starting the last several games, but his defensive contributions will continue to earn him solid time so long as he's healthy.
Mon Feb 2 201514:22Allen (ankle) considered probable to play Monday against Suns
Allen (ankle) is considered probable to play Monday against the Suns, Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Allen missed a pair of games last week with a sprained ankle, but has seen 20-plus minutes in each of the Grizzlies' last two games. He's still dealing with a little bit of discomfort, however, so the team will give him one final check prior to game-time. At this point, it appears Allen will play, but his status is something to keep an eye on in advance of the 9:00 PM ET tip.

Allen (ankle) made his return to the bench Thursday after missing two games and scored eight points (3-9 FG, 2-4 FT) while grabbing nine boards in 21 minutes.
Allen will likely return to the starting lineup soon once he gets more practice time in, but even then, he's not a great fantasy option as much as he is a good player for the Grizzlies. He's started 36 games this season, but averages just 8.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, which isn't great fantasy production for a starter.

Allen (ankle) participated in Thursday's shootaround and is not listed on the team's injury report, Rob Fischer of Spots 56 WHBQ in Memphis reports.
After missing two games with an ankle sprain, it appears Allen is on track to return to action Thursday night against Denver. His return could push Courtney Lee, who scored 13 points in 31 minutes Monday, back to the bench.
Tue Jan 27 201520:28Allen (ankle) ruled out for Tuesday's game
Allen (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game, Grizzlies sideline reporter Rob Fischer reports.
He has only played 20-plus minutes in one of his last four games, so his fantasy stock was already trending down. Consider Allen questionable for Thursday's game against the Nuggets.
Tue Jan 27 201520:05Allen (ankle) game-time decision Tuesday
Allen (ankle) is a game-time decision Tuesday, Grizzlies sideline reporter Rob Fischer reports.
It is best to play it safe and sit Allen in daily leagues, especially since his minutes have been inconsistent lately. An update on his status should be available prior to tip-off.

Allen (ankle) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Mavericks, Rob Fischer of Sports 56 WHBQ in Memphis reports.
Allen sprained his left ankle in Saturday's win over the Sixers, and he sat out Monday's game against Orlando. While it doesn't look to be anything serious, his status for Tuesday is in jeopardy, and if he's held out, some combination of Jeff Green and Courtney Lee will likely see increased minutes.
Mon Jan 26 201518:40Allen (ankle) will not play Monday against Magic
Allen (ankle) will not play Monday against the Magic, Kevin Arnovitz of ESPN.com reports.
Allen, who sat out morning shootaround and was considered questionable entering Monday's game, should be considered day-to-day. While he's not likely to miss much time, the Grizzlies play at Dallas on Tuesday, so it's possible Allen could be held out of the one-game road trip to gain additional rest in advance of Thursday's game against Denver back in Memphis.
Mon Jan 26 201512:21Tony Allen: (Ankle) Could Miss Monday's Game
Allen didn't participate in morning shootaround due to a sprained left ankle and is questionable for Monday's game against the Magic, Rob Fischer of Fox Sports reports.
Allen came off the bench for Saturday's game against the Sixers, but there is no indication that is related to his ankle injury. It appears the most likely scenario is he suffered the injury in that contest, and now could be in danger of missing Monday's game as well. His official status should receive an update prior to the 8 PM ET tipoff.
Sat Jan 24 201519:59Allen will move to bench against Sixers on Saturday
Allen will move to the bench against the Sixers on Saturday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Despite the demotion, it's entirely possible for Allen to retain his normal workload off the bench as he currently averages 25.5 minutes per game.

Allen (hamstring) scored 17 points (6-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-5 FT) and added five rebounds, one assist, two steals, and a block in 31 minutes against the Magic Friday.
Allen is generally thought of as a steals specialist, but he showed Friday that he still has much more to offer. Friday's output doubled his season scoring average, so managers should not expect many repeat performances there. This line serves as a reminder of the many abilities this former NBA champion still possesses, even if some of them often go unseen.

Allen (hamstring) is considered probable to play Friday against Orlando, Zachary Thomas of Three Shades of Blue reports.
Allen continues to nurse a sore left hamstring, but he played 25 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Nets. The "probable" designation is likely precautionary, as Allen should be on the floor, barring a setback in shootaround.
Wed Jan 14 201522:05Allen (hamstring) scored 13 points (6-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT) wit...
Allen (hamstring) scored 13 points (6-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT) with four rebounds and two steals in the win over the Nets on Wednesday. He played 25 minutes.
Allen's minutes have been inconsistent of late, but his mild hamstring injury may have limited his minutes against the Nets. He was able to score well, but his fantasy performance should remain fairly consistent in upcoming games.

Allen (hamstring) is considered probable to play Wednesday against the Nets, Rob Fischer of Sports 56 WHBQ in Memphis reports.
Allen has played in nine straight games since missing a stretch with an eye injury, but he apparently tweaked his hamstring in Sunday's win over Phoenix. While he'll likely take the court, his status is something to double-check prior to Wednesday's tip.
Tue Jan 6 201517:18Allen averaging 2.2 steals per game this season after recording ...
Allen is averaging 2.2 steals per game this season after recording seven steals Monday night versus the Knicks.
Allen added 14 points (6-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one block in 26 minutes of action versus the Knicks. His offensive contributions are extremely inconsistent, but he remains one of the top perimeter defenders in the NBA. If you're in desperate need of steals and can deal with Allen's lackluster production in other categories, he might be worth adding.
