F Ersan Ilyasova scored 20 points for the Pistons (5-4), who have dropped three in a row.

F Ersan Ilyasova added 16 points in his Pistons debut Tuesday.

Ilyasova appears to have solidified himself as the starting power forward for the Pistons during training camp, NBA.com's Keith Langlois reports.

Aside from guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, coach Stan Van Gundy cited Ilyasova as one of the top performers in camp, all but assuring that the offseason acquisition is secure in his role. Ilyasova had a modest preseason debut (six points, four rebounds, four turnovers in 23 minutes), but with little notable competition behind him on the depth chart, the 28-year-old should eat up most of the playing time made available by Greg Monroe's departure.

Ilyasova will play for Turkey during Eurobasket 2015, Vincent Ellis of the Detroit Free Press reports.

The Pistons will work with Ilyasova until he leaves to join the national team later this week. Eurobasket begins September 5th and concludes September 20th. Ilyasova was already promised a significant role on the Pistons this upcoming season, and he'll be looking to parlay post-All-Star break success into a quality 2015-16 campaign as the starting power forward.

Ilyasova talked with coach Stan Van Gundy after being traded to the Pistons and was assured that he'll have a significant role on the Pistons next season, the Journal Times reports. "Coach Van Gundy said he was following me since he was coaching in Orlando several years ago and he really liked the way I played and how I fit into the system," Ilyasova said.

Ilyasova could step into the Pistons' starting power forward job if Greg Monroe leaves as an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but even if Monroe re-signs, Ilyasova would likely see more minutes at power forward than even Monroe, as Monroe could slide up to center when Andre Drummond is resting. During an 11-game stretch in which Monroe was sidelined this season, Anthony Tolliver stepped into the starting spot at power forward, averaging 9.5 points, 2.4 three-pointers, 4.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 steals, and o.3 blocks in 30 minutes per game. Ilyasova has a higher ceiling than Tolliver in nearly every category, so if Tolliver can find fantasy relevance and hit 2.4 three-pointers as the Pistons' starting power forward, Ilyasova could end up have a career year under Van Gundy if he can stay healthy. The Pelicans' Ryan Anderson had the best season of his career under Van Gundy in Orlando, and Ilyasova is a similar player to Anderson is several respects.

Ilyasova was dealt to the Pistons for Caron Butler and Shawne Williams on Thursday, Yahoo! Sports reports.

From the Pistons' standpoint, the team picked up their Greg Monroe replacement for two parts that weren't expected to be around in 2015-16. Ilyasova is coming off another season in which he dealt with injuries, yet he bounced back after the trade deadline, averaging 14.5 points (on 45 percent shooting), 5.1 rebounds, 1.3 three-pointers, and 1.2 assists in 24 minutes across 32 games (21 starts). Expect the forward to fit into the Ryan Anderson-role from coach Stan Van Gundy's days in Orlando.

Ilyasova appeared in 58 games in 2014-15, compiling averages of 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists while shooting 47.2 percent from the floor and 38.9 from three.

Ilyasova got off to a relatively strong start, averaging 11.1 points on 49.7 percent shooting through the first month of the season before going down in early December with a concussion and nasal fracture. The injury would cost him 19 games over the ensuing month, and he struggled to regain his form in January and February. Ilyasova shined after the trade deadline, however, posting averages of 15.5 points and 6.8 rebounds while shooting nearly 46 percent from three in the month of March, a time when the Bucks were struggling to integrate new point guard Michael Carter-Williams. Ilyasova's hot shooting continued down the stretch (49.5% FG/45.5% 3Pt in April), but he struggled mightily in the Bucks' playoff series against Chicago. Over six games, Ilyaosva shot a horrendous 32.8 percent from the floor while connecting on only 5-of-23 three-point attempts. Ilyasova is under contract for two more seasons, and his contract will paly him $7.9 million in 2015-16. A name frequently mentioned in trade rumors, Ilyasova will likely find himself in the same position at some point next season, especially considering the return of Jabari Parker. The Bucks have been unsuccessful in moving Ilyasova in the past, but with only two years left on his deal, the remaining money may be more palatable for a potential trade partner.

Ilyasova is averaging 11.5 points and 4.5 rebounds through the Bucks' first two playoff games, but he's shooting only 37.5 percent from the floor.

After a shaky, injury-plagued start to the season, Ilyasova came into his own down the stretch. He averaged 15.5 points and 6.8 rebounds on 48 percent shooting in March, and sustained close to the same per-minute production through the final month of the regular season. While he's shown aggressiveness on the offensive end in Games 1 and 2, his jumpers simply haven't fallen. Ilyasova is 9-of-24 from the field overall and just 1-of-8 from beyond the arc.

Ilyasova will rest most of the second half, Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe reports.

Coach Jason Kidd said he'll play his regulars Wednesday, but he noted that the starters will rest most of the second half. Don't expect Ilyasova to see a major workload, especially since the result of the game is ultimately irrelevant.

Ilyasova led the Bucks with 21 points (8-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with five boards in 28 minutes in the win over the Nets on Sunday.

Ilyasova had come off a pair of quiet games in which he scored a combined eight points on 3-of-14 from the field. He has his highest score since Mar. 26 when he scored a career-high 34 in a win over the Pacers. While Ilyasova starts, he has not played more than 28 minutes in his last five games.

Ilyasova scored a career-high 34 points (12-14 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT) Thursday in a win over the Pacers. He finished the game with an additional six rebounds, two assists and two steals in 36 minutes.

Ilyasova has been producing lately, scoring in double figures in nine straight games. During that stretch, he has three double-doubles and has recorded at least one steal in seven of them.

Ilyasova will start Saturday's game against the Wizards.

Ilyasova yielded his spot in the starting five Wednesday to Jared Dudley, but the former still tallied a double-double (13 points and 10 rebounds) in 35 minutes at Golden State. Coach Jason Kidd said that he's making the move to better combat the size of the Wizards' frontcourt.

Ilyasova logged 35 minutes off the bench against the Warriors on Wednesday. He finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

Ilyasova has been in and out of the starting lineup this season so it's entirely possible for him to reenter the starring five in short order. Either way, he's averaging 32 minutes on the court over his past four games and is usually expected to see significant time on the court no matter where he starts the game.

Ilyasova will come off the bench Wednesday at Golden State.

Ilyasova has been replaced in the starting five by Jared Dudley. The change was likely made for matchup reasons against the high-tempo Warriors, but in 21 games off the bench this season, Ilyasova averaged 9.3 points (on 50 percent shooting), 3.4 boards, 0.8 three-pointers, and 0.7 assists in 17 minutes.

Ilyasova scored in the double digits for his third straight game Friday, finishing the loss to the Lakers with 17 points (5-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-8 FT), 12 rebounds and one steal.

This was also Ilyasova's second double-double in three games. However, prior to his 15-point performance Feb. 23 against the Bulls, he had scored in the single digits for six straight games. He may be earning himself some more minutes going forward, but it likely won't be enough to make him into a reliable fantasy player.

Ilyasova posted a double-double in 35 minutes Monday against the Bulls as he scored 15 points (6-16 FG, 3-8 3Pt) to go along with 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.

The Bucks decided to start Ilyasova against the Bulls big frontcourt and he was able to put up a solid performance in a loss. He may have earned himself more playing time when the Bucks face bigger teams, but will likely only see limited playing time on most nights.

Ilyasova will move into the starting lineup Monday against the Bulls.

Facing a frontcourt of Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah, the Bucks can't afford to give up too much size, so Ilyasova will get the start while Jared Dudley moves to the bench. Jason Kidd said the goal is to get Ilyasova involved early, though he could struggle against the size of Gasol, who went for 46 points and 18 rebounds last time these teams met.

Ilyasova (illness) returned to action from a one-game absence Sunday and put up four points, four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 15 minutes off the bench.

Ilyasova has averaged just 17 minutes through 31 games played this season. To be of use in standard fantasy leagues, a player generally needs to receive 28 minutes of more per game to have enough time to collect an appropriate amount of statistical value in standard leagues. Ilyasova is far off that mark, and with the deep rotation the Bucks use, it's hard to see Ilyasova having sustained value over any great stretch this season. Leave him on the wire in standard leagues unless the Bucks try to force feed him minutes at some point.

Ilyasova (illness) will be available for Sunday's game against the Hawks, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Ilyasova fell ill prior to Friday's game but was able to return to the court for Saturday's practice. Assuming he's well enough for his normal compliment of minutes, the 27-year-old is in line to see around 17.5 minutes Sunday.

Ilyasova will be unavailable Friday against the Nuggets due to an illness, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Ilyasova's illness shouldn't be a long-term thing, but it will cause him to miss Friday's contest, leaving the Bucks another man short on the bench. His absence could open the door to added minutes for Johnny O'Bryant and the newly-acquired Miles Plumlee.
