Sun Apr 13 201418:30Amir Johnson plays better, logs 17 minutes
Amir Johnson played 17 minutes vs. the Pistons on Sunday with eight points, two boards, one assist, two steals and two blocks.
He got into some foul trouble against his former team and he's yet to get back in the swing on things since returning from his ankle injury. He only played 17 minutes on Friday in his return and perhaps the Raptors want him to take it easy before they make a playoff run. Fantasy owners might be better off grabbing a player on a team no preparing for the playoffs.

Fri Apr 11 201422:45Amir Johnson plays just 17 minutes
Amir Johnson (ankle) played 17 minutes and did not score in his return to the lineup on Friday vs. the Knicks, adding three boards, two assists and one block.
He missed his last three games due to his ankle soreness and didn't look too great on the offense end. Johnson was still very active and this might just be a rust issue. He should be ready for Sunday's game vs. the Pistons and should have a better showing on the stat sheet.

Fri Apr 11 201417:28Amir Johnson will play vs. the Knicks on Fri.
Amir Johnson (ankle) will play against the Knicks on Friday.
He went through a light practice on Thursday and after that workout the team said Amir should be ready for Friday. Coach Dwane Casey said getting Johnson to 100 percent health is a priority, so he's likely ready to resume his regular role tonight. He should be back in most fantasy lineups tonight in a solid matchup. Pat Patterson moves back to the bench.

Thu Apr 10 201413:28Amir Johnson goes through light practice
Amir Johnson (ankle) went through a light practice on Thursday and is likely to play against the Knicks on Friday.
Coach Dwane Casey said he wants his power forward to be healthy, so Johnson is still up in the air. The Raptors will look to be 15 games over .500 on Friday for the first time in franchise history and break the Knicks' backs in the process. Johnson's ankle soreness has been an ongoing battle for multiple months and it's cost him five games since Feb. 10. His possible return hurts Patrick Patterson, who played very well against the lowly Sixers on Wednesday.

Thu Apr 10 201412:42Amir Johnson close to returning for Raps
Amir Johnson has missed two straight games with an ankle injury but it sounds like he's nearing a return.
"He's pretty close. He's still not 100%. But he's pretty close," coach Dwane Casey said of Johnson. "If he had to go tonight, he probably could go. We're trying to make sure . he's ready for the next couple of weeks." If Johnson suits up on Friday, Patrick Patterson, who had a great line on Wednesday, would take a hit in playing time.

Wed Apr 9 201417:29Amir Johnson will not play vs. Sixers
Amir Johnson (sore right ankle) will not play against the Sixers on Wednesday.
This will be his third straight game out of the lineup and he should be considered questionable for Friday vs. the Knicks. Patrick Patterson hasn't capitalized on his extra minutes, but he should get a much better chance in a great matchup tonight.

Tue Apr 8 201413:32Amir Johnson practices despite ankle injury
Amir Johnson practiced despite his sore ankle on Tuesday.
That is a good sign that he'll play against the Sixers tomorrow night, although owners will want to watch for updates prior to game time.

Fri Apr 4 201412:29Amir Johnson questionable for Friday
Amir Johnson (ankle) remains questionable for Friday's game against the Pacers.
Johnson lasted just three minutes on Wednesday before bowing out. It wasn't an acute injury, he was simply too sore to go. We'd expect Johnson to end up as a game-time call, with Patrick Patterson at the ready if he sits.

Thu Apr 3 201412:27Amir Johnson couldn't get loose on Wednesday
Amir Johnson's sore right ankle was bothering him even before Wednesday's game.
He couldn't get loose in warmups and decided to play on it anyway, but Johnson lasted just three minutes before he was ruled out for the rest of the game. The 26-year old forward has played on his bum ankle for majority of the time since February, so it's possible the team sits him down. If he is out, Patrick Patterson would likely get back in the starting lineup.

Wed Apr 2 201419:30Amir Johnson (right ankle) out for game
Amir Johnson has a sore right ankle on Wednesday and will not return.
This is the same right ankle that has bothered Amir for countless games since February. He only missed two games because of it back on Feb. 10 and 12, but it was clearly bothering him before. He played 32.7 minutes in March and the team should update his status after the game. If you want to speculatively add Patrick Patterson, it makes sense.

Tue Apr 1 201400:09Amir Johnson turns in a dud vs. Heat
Amir Johnson played 24 minutes vs. the Heat on Monday with four points, six boards, one assist and one turnover.
He had four fouls and couldn't get into a rhythm against a good Heat team. Johnson is in a mini slump with just 16 total points in his last three games, but he'll be fine and should turn it around on Wednesday.

Sun Mar 30 201420:43Amir Johnson quiet with four points vs. Magic
Amir Johnson had a quiet night in 35 minutes vs. the Magic, scoring four points on 2-of-5 shooting with three rebounds, zero blocks and two turnovers.
He finished the first half with one turnover and zero other stats in 15 minutes of action, and he hasn't been particularly effective since bumping his knee vs. the Hawks last Sunday. Johnson reliably plays through minor injuries and Toronto has a favorable four-game schedule this week, which helps compensate for his recent play and the possible return of Patrick Patterson (elbow).

Wed Mar 26 201422:11Amir Johnson quiet in Raptors win
Amir Johnson had just 10 points, seven rebounds, a 3-pointer and no blocks in 30 minutes of Wednesday's win over the Celtics.
Johnson's been a bit quiet since a 25 & 12 games on Friday, March 21, averaging just 9.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.0 blocks and 4.3 fouls in his three games since. Patrick Patterson is still not back for the Raptors, so the minutes have been there for Johnson. He's just not doing much with them.

Tue Mar 25 201421:56Amir Johnson's knee a non-issue vs. Cleveland
Amir Johnson's left knee didn't seem to bother him on Tuesday, as he racked up 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting, nine rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks.
Johnson played 34 minutes to equal his average in March, and his role continues to expand at just the right time for fantasy owners -- so far this month he's setting new season-highs for playing time, scoring, shot attempts, assists, steals and blocks. The Raptors play seven games in the next 11 days, making Johnson a must-start option as long as he's healthy.

Mon Mar 24 201409:28Amir Johnson (knee) expects to play Tuesday
Amir Johnson said that he hyper-extended his left knee on Sunday, but he expects to be fine for Tuesday's game in Cleveland.
We'll keep an eye on his activity during Monday's practice but it sounds safe to keep him active as the Raptors embark on their four-game week, which includes a home-and-away set vs. the Celtics. Johnson has picked up his production with Patrick Patterson (elbow) on the sidelines, and it's still unclear when Patterson might return.

Sun Mar 23 201415:40Amir Johnson plays through knee injury
Amir Johnson injured his left knee toward the end of Sunday's game, but he continued playing and finished with six points, eight rebounds, three steals and one block.
Johnson's willingness to play through pain can't be questioned and his defense was crucial for the Raptors, as they took another step toward winning the Atlantic Division, but fantasy owners should keep an eye out for injury updates prior to Tuesday's road game in Cleveland.

Fri Mar 21 201423:54Amir Johnson turns in a massive line in loss
Amir Johnson stuffed the stat sheet in Friday's double-overtime loss to the Thunder with 25 points, 12 boards, four assists, two steals and five blocks on 12-of-19 from the field.
He was everywhere tonight and obviously his ankle issue which have plagued him for much of the season seem to have subsided. Johnson's post-break numbers looked terrific even before this gem, averaging 12.9 points, 6.9 boards, 1.3 blocks and 0.6 steals on 61.2 percent from the field, so he's more than solidified his must-own status.

Thu Mar 20 201400:26Amir Johnson drops 17 points in solid line
Amir Johnson played center against the Pelicans on Wednesday during a 107-100 win, shooting 8-of-13 from the field for 17 points with nine boards, two assists, one steal, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.
Thanks to Anthony Davis (illness) not playing, Johnson committed just two fouls because the Pelicans couldn't get much out of their frontcourt. He had a minor ankle issue heading into this game, but he was as active as ever and looked 100 percent. He's rolling right now and is a must-start player.

Wed Mar 19 201418:51Amir Johnson will start vs. Pelicans
Amir Johnson will play and start vs. the Pelicans on Wednesday.
He had a very minor ankle injury and has dealt with ankle issues dating back to January. Johnson was a fouling machine a couple years back and he'll get a huge test tonight against Anthony Davis. If he can avoid foul trouble, he could be in for a huge night with Jonas Valanciunas (back) out.

Tue Mar 18 201422:44Amir Johnson double-doubles in OT loss
Amir Johnson hit 5-of-8 shots for 11 points, 11 rebounds and zero blocks in Tuesday's overtime loss to the Hawks.
Jonas Valanciunas left this one with a lower back strain and Johnson should be even better if JV is going to miss time. He took a hard fall just before the overtime period, but was able to stay in the game and play through it.
