Wed Sep 12 201209:27Raptors officially sign F Dominic McGuire
Raptors sign F Dominic McGuire.
The contract is expected to be for one or two seasons. He's a nice depth addition and will certainly play the brand of defense that Dwane Casey loves, but he's not going to be a fantasy asset.

Sun Sep 9 201218:01Dominic McGuire agrees to deal w/ Raptors
The Raptors and free agent Dominic McGuire have agreed to terms on a one- or two-year contract.
McGuire won't do much scoring in Toronto, as he lacks 3-point range and is a career 41.8 percent shooter, but he's a versatile defender. He won't be a fantasy asset in the off-the-bench-defender role that coach Dwane Casey tried in vain to make James Johnson embrace last season.

Thu Sep 6 201221:55McGuire, Childress to work out with Nets
Free agents Dominic McGuire and Josh Childress will work out for the Nets early next week.
McGuire has a nice glue game that could come in handy in a pinch for any team, but Childress is little more than 12th man material and neither of them will have any fantasy value in Brooklyn, or beyond.

Wed Aug 1 201208:20Dominic McGuire unlikely to return to GSW
Unrestricted FA Dominic McGuire wants to re-sign with the Warriors, but the Warriors have not expressed interest.
The Warriors feel rookie Draymond Green "will provide a lot of what McGuire brought," and after the signing of Carl Landry, it's almost impossible to envision a scenario where McGuire returns.

Thu Jul 5 201210:10Dominic McGuire not likely to return to GSW
Unrestricted free agent Dominic McGuire doesn't sound likely to return to the Warriors next season.
He's not a priority for the Warriors right now and could easily agree to a deal with another team while the Warriors are waiting for Brandon Roy to make a decision on their offer, as well as for another team to sign restricted free agent Brandon Rush to an offer sheet.

Tue Apr 17 201205:27McGuire plays 15 minutes in blowout loss
Dominic McGuire played just 15 minutes in Monday's blowout loss, scoring two points on 1-of-4 shooting with four rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
McGuire might have been a desperation pickup due to the Warriors' five-game schedule, and he didn't impress in the first night of action. The Warriors are decimated up front, so there's a chance he bounces back. Owners just need to wait for signs of life now before jumping at McGuire.

Sat Apr 14 201218:39McGuire doesn't score, but plays well for GSW
Dominic McGuire didn't score after missing all four of his shots on Saturday, but did have 11 rebounds and five assists.
Jeremy Tyler was terrible today and Andris Biedrins left with a head injury. McGuire comes with no guarantees, but looks like he could be a sneaky pickup with five games for the beat up Warriors next week.

Sat Mar 31 201204:47McGuire posts seven point, nine boards
Dominic McGuire scored seven points on 2-of-3 shooting with nine rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block in 28 minutes off the bench on Friday.
McGuire has averaged 23 minutes, 4.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.6 steals, 1.2 blocks, 44.4 percent field goals, 84.6 free throws, and 1.2 turnovers over his last night games. That adds up to borderline value in 9-cat, 12-team leagues, and McGuire is the only guy Mark Jackson can count on defensively every night. We're not breaking our necks to add him, but the Warriors have a nice playoff schedule and he's worth watching for sure.

Wed Mar 28 201206:56Dominic McGuire hopes to re-sign with GSW
Dominic McGuire is hoping to re-sign with the Warriors.
"Without a doubt. No question about it," he said. McGuire had four points, seven rebounds, five assists and three blocks against the Lakers on Tuesday and is capable of delivering versatile stat lines when given the playing time. Mark Jackson loves McGuire, so it's very possible McGuire could be back next season.

Wed Mar 28 201202:53Dominic McGuire plays well at C in loss
Dominic McGuire had four points, seven rebounds, five assists and three blocks in 29 minutes off the Warriors bench on Tuesday.
Jeremy Tyler started at center with Andris Biedrins (groin) out again, but failed to score and had just three rebounds in 10 minutes. If Biedrins remains out, McGuire could continue to get serious run and could be worth owning at some point in the near future. Keep an eye on him, as Tyler doesn't appear to be the answer at center for GSW.

Fri Mar 23 201200:33McGuire posts low-end line vs. Rockets
Dominic McGuire scored seven points on 3-of-6 shooting with six rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 24 minutes off the bench on Thursday.
McGuire hasn't made much noise lately, but with the Warriors banged up and lacking depth he could be an interesting asset if he can post versatile lines like this. Just watch him for now.

Mon Mar 5 201223:53McGuire posts solid defensive numbers
Dominic McGuire started for Stephen Curry (foot) on Monday, scoring four points on 2-of-4 shooting with seven rebounds, four assists, one steal, and two blocks in 34 minutes.
McGuire has shown some promise with versatile lines like this in the past, but it usually doesn't last and it won't matter here, anyway. Curry played tonight and is going to be starting sooner rather than later.

Sun Mar 4 201220:34Dominic McGuire useless despite starting gig
Dominic McGuire started again on Sunday and logged 37 minutes, but he finished with just four points, five rebounds and three assists.
McGuire isn't expected to score much, as he's an 'energy guy' whose defensive skills have allowed him to carve out a niche in the NBA. He'll resume irrelevance once Stephen Curry gets healthy.

Sat Mar 3 201201:57McGuire starts again for Stephen Curry
Dominic McGuire started for injured Stephen Curry (foot) on Friday, going scoreless without any shot attempts and finishing with six rebounds, one assist, and two blocks in 29 minutes.
McGuire did his job as a defensive specialist, but there's no reason to believe he'll offer any fantasy value, even in spot opportunities.

Wed Feb 29 201223:53Dominic McGuire grabs 15 rebounds in start
Dominic McGuire started in place of injured Stephen Curry and failed to score, missing his only shot, but did have 15 rebounds in a win over the Hawks.
McGuire played 36 minutes but it sounds like Curry will be back sooner than later from his foot injury. Ignore McGuire.

Wed Feb 29 201219:13Dominic McGuire starting in place of Curry
Dominic McGuire will start in place of Stephen Curry on Wednesday night.
Monta Ellis will slide to shooting guard, Dorell Wright will start at shooting guard and McGuire will go at small forward. Maybe the position change will help Wright, who has been in a slump for much of the season.

Sun Feb 12 201220:08Dominic McGuire out w/ strained left knee
Dominic McGuire won't play on Saturday due to a strained left knee.
McGuire said he needs "one more day" before he can return, so it sounds like he'll be available vs. the Suns on Monday. He's played a total of 23 minutes in February, and has zero points to his credit.

Mon Jan 2 201219:12McGuire plays well in start for Warriors
Dominic McGuire started in place of David Lee (illness) on Monday and had 14 points and nine rebounds on 6-of-9 shooting in 26 minutes.
Lee was hopitalized, but has since been sent home. McGuire looked very good today and likely earned more minutes in the rotation, but probably won't be worth owning once Lee is back in action.

Mon Jan 2 201214:43Dominic McGuire likely to start for GSW
Dominic McGuire, and not Ekpe Udoh, looks like the starting power forward for the Warriors on Monday with David Lee sidelined with an illness.
Both players should be decent spot starts today if you need a fill-in for Lee, but hurry. Game time is at 3:30 Eastern time.

Thu Dec 15 201115:26Warriors sign F Dominic McGuire
The Warriors signed F Dominic McGuire on Thursday.
He'll back up Dorell Wright at small forward, but isn't likely to have much fantasy value.
