Tue Dec 16 201416:37Robin Lopez: (Hand) Out 6-to-7 Weeks
Lopez will be sidelined 6-to-7 weeks due to the fractured right hand suffered during Monday's game against the Spurs, The Oregonian reports.
Lopez himself revealed the news, as well as the extent of the injury -- broken third and fourth metacarpals -- and now that a timetable is evident, coach Terry Stotts can proceed with cobbling together a revised frontcourt rotation. More than likely, Stotts will turn to Joel Freeland next to LaMarcus Aldridge in the starting five in order to retain Chris Kaman's services off the bench. Behind Freeland and Kaman, Thomas Robinson and Meyers Leonard are sure to factor into the equation, but their expected workloads are more untenable. No matter how Stotts operates in the interim, it appears that Lopez's next possible appearance lands on Jan. 26 in Brooklyn, if all goes well with his recovery.
Tue Dec 16 201415:34Lopez (hand) doesn't have timetable for return to court
Lopez (hand) doesn't have a timetable for a return to the court, but an evaluation Tuesday could clear that up, CSN Northwest reports.
To date, there has been a range of recovery time frames bandied about for Lopez's fractured right hand, but the situation could soon gain clarity after the upcoming exam. While his absence is expected to expand Chris Kaman's workload, it remains unclear who will replace Lopez in the starting five. If coach Terry Stotts opts to keep the frontcourt rotation relatively intact, with Kaman coming off the bench, Meyers Leonard, Joel Freeland, and even Thomas Robinson could all factor into the mix at center for the foreseeable future.

Lopez (hand) is expected to miss four weeks with a fracture in his right hand, Yahoo! Sports reports.
This news may be considered rather positive for owners, as Lopez was feared to potentially miss more time with a rather serious injury. Four weeks away puts him out until mid-January, still with plenty of time for teams to catch up and make a run for the fantasy playoffs. He's averaging a modest 9.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks for the season. He's worth holding onto in 12-man leagues if your team can afford it. Meanwhile, expect Chris Kaman to see the bulk of his minutes.
Tue Dec 16 201400:46Robin Lopez: Fractures Hand Against Spurs
Lopez fractured his right hand during Monday's game against the Spurs and is expected to be out "a while" according to coach Terry Stotts, digital reporter for Portland, Casey Holdhal reports.
Lopez suffered the fracture while going up for a rebound Monday. In his absence, Chris Kaman will likely garner a significant role with Portland moving forward, regardless of whether or not he gets the starting nod.
Mon Dec 15 201423:51Robin Lopez: Injures Hand Monday
Lopez will not return to Monday's game against the Spurs after suffering a hand injury in the third quarter.
Lopez appeared to injure his right hand while going up for a rebound Monday. The exact severity of the injury still hasn't been released, thus leaving Lopez day-to-day heading into Wednesday's game against the Bucks.

Lopez scored 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-3 FT), with 10 rebounds, three blocks and two assists in 31 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Hornets.
Lopez was impressive all-around in this game, and while he's not a go-to offensive option for the Blazers, he's capable of having games like this one, making him a nice plug-and-play option.

Lopez contributed 12 points (4-8 FG, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, four blocks, and three assists in 29 minutes during Monday's win at Philadelphia.
Lopez has tallied a block in all but two of the Blazers' 14 games this season, but he's only swatted multiple shots on five occasions, resulting in 1.6 per contest. Meanwhile, he's formed a formidable three-headed monster in the frontcourt with LaMarcus Aldridge and offseason addition Chris Kaman, and the lineup flexibility has allowed each player to focus on their strengths en route to an 11-3 record. As a result, Lopez is usable in most formats due to his efficient shooting (57 percent from the floor and 82 percent from the free-throw line), prowess on the offensive glass (three per outing), and rim protection.

Lopez played just 24 minutes Thursday against the Mavericks after the Trail Blazers got out to a huge lead in the second half.
Lopez's limitations were likely due to the blowout, as Nicolas Batum also sat out the entire fourth quarter. Chris Kaman, Joel Freeland and Meyers Leonard all got minutes in the frontcourt off the bench. Lopez is still averaging 29.5 minutes per game this season, so he'll likely return to his normal production.
Mon Apr 21 201401:17Robin Lopez struggles vs. Dwight Howard
Robin Lopez struggled in his matchup with Dwight Howard on Sunday, posting six points on 2-of-7 shooting with eight rebounds and one block.
The Blazers didn't give Lopez any help in the post defensively and Dwight made them pay, though Portland's decision to intentionally foul Howard led to four straight missed FTs and turned the momentum around with five minutes remaining. Lopez had a +/- rating of -15, which was easily the worst of any player, and it will be interesting to see if Portland alters their defensive approach on Wednesday.

Sat Mar 29 201400:21Robin Lopez throws block party for Blazers
Robin Lopez had a strong game Friday night and scored 13 points with nine rebounds, one assists, two steals, and five blocks in the Blazers' win over the Bulls.
Lopez hasn't been negatively affected by LaMarcus Aldridge's return one bit and continued to be a force down low with his fifth game of five or more blocks this season. He's now averaging 14.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks over his last three games and will continue to be a valuable contributor in the rebounds and blocks categories.

Tue Mar 25 201421:29Blazers lose despite Robin Lopez's 20 & 13
The Blazers fell in Orlando on Tuesday despite a huge game from Robin Lopez, who scored a season-high 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting while hauling in 13 rebounds.
RoLo also blocked two shots, but the end result was Portland's third straight loss without the services of LaMarcus Aldridge. The Blazers are now just one game ahead of the sixth-place Warriors, meaning Lopez should continue to play heavy minutes in Portland's three remaining games this week.

Robin Lopez hit 7-of-12 shots for 15 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks in Wednesday's win over the Bucks.
With LaMarcus Aldridge out for the week, Ro-Lo should keep Ro-lling along for the Blazers.

Fri Mar 14 201423:33Robin Lopez scores 19 points in win
Robin Lopez scored 19 points vs. his former team on Friday with four boards and three blocks in 34 minutes.
He remains one of the better under-the-radar to be dealt in the offseason and the Blazers are getting everything out of him. Lopez has become better in almost every facet and he is also extremely durable. Fantasy owners should just enjoy the ride the rest of the way.

Sun Mar 9 201422:56Robin Lopez double-doubles with five blocks
Robin Lopez held his ground in 38 minutes of action vs. the Rockets on Sunday, finishing with 11 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks for his 24th double-double of the season.
Head coach Terry Stotts opted not to double-team Dwight Howard on most possessions, in an attempt to keep Houston's perimeter game under wraps -- the ploy worked for the most part, holding Houston to 9-of-29 from downtown, while Dwight posted 17 & 12 with three blocks and five turnovers. Lopez continues to wildly exceed expectations, and his fantasy owners can look forward to a juicy five-game week from March 24-30.

Robin Lopez scored 19 points on 9-of-13 shooting with 16 rebounds, two assists and three blocks in Monday's loss to the Lakers.
Lopez keeps on adding notches to his belt this season and it feels like we're singing the same praise every night. At some point he'll start to get some love in the press outside of Portland, too.

Sun Mar 2 201401:12Robin Lopez scores 18 points in 32 minutes
Robin Lopez had a nice offensive night on Saturday with 18 points, nine boards, two assists and on block in 32 minutes.
He shot 5-of-9 from the field and made all eight treys. Lopez got off to a fast start 12 points in the first half and took advantage of one of the league's worst interior defenses. He'll get another chance to do the same thing against the Lakers on Monday. Ro-Lo has been one of the better under-the-radar offseason acquisitions from last summer.

Tue Feb 25 201423:58Robin Lopez blocks career-high 7 shots
Robin Lopez had 12 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high seven blocks before fouling out of Tuesday's win over the Nuggets.
If you're surprised a big man had a career night against the Nuggets, you haven't been paying attention. The Nuggets are constantly torched by opposing bigs and tonight was no exception. Ro-Lo is Ro-lling, averaging 10.6 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.8 blocks over his last five games.

Wed Feb 12 201401:19Robin Lopez plays well in loss to Thunder
Robin Lopez hit 7-of-9 shots for 17 points, 14 rebounds, a steal and two blocks in Tuesday's loss to the Thunder.
Ro-Lo continues to play well and had 17 points and 14 rebounds on Friday, as well. There's no reason for him to be on fantasy benches right now, especially after Joel Freeman went down with what looked like a serious right knee injury on Tuesday.

Fri Feb 7 201422:40Robin Lopez continuing his solid play
Robin Lopez grabbed a game-high 14 boards against the Pacers on Friday with 17 points and one assist in 40 minutes.
He raised his rebounds per game to 8.3 with this game and is absolutely shattering his previous career high of 5.6 from last year. LaMarcus Aldridge taking so many shots and operating from further away has really opened up the paint for Lopez, which explains third-ranked 3.9 offensive boards per game on the season. He's durable and should be able to keep it going all season.

Mon Feb 3 201422:35Lopez goes for 12 and nine with four blocks
Robin Lopez just missed a double-double with 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting with nine rebounds, one steal and four blocks in Monday's loss to the Wizards.
Lopez is quietly having a great season with top 65-95 value on the year (9/8 cat) and best of all owners more or less know what they're getting on a nightly basis.
