Fri Nov 12 201023:14Weems hits game-winning three for Raps
Sonny Weems made another start for the Raptors in place of injured Linas Kleiza and hit the game-winning three pointer near the end. He finished with 14 points.
He's playing very well and may end up challenging Kleiza for minutes once he returns. Kleiza has been hit or miss this season and the emergence of Weems isn't going to help.
Wed Nov 10 201022:55Weems scores 20 off Raptors bench
Sonny Weems came off the bench to hit 8-of-12 shots for 20 points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal in 37 minutes on Wednesday.
He got hot and scored 23 on Nov. 3, disappeared for a couple games and has played well in his last two. If you're in a deep league and need a sleeper, he qualifies, but he should be somewhat unreliable coming off the bench. Linas Kleiza is struggling through an achilles injury, while DeMar DeRozan never got going tonight.
Tue Nov 9 201021:19Weems dealing with knee injury
Sonny Weems, who had been dealing with a knee injury suffered last week against the Lakers, said his knee felt better after Monday's game against the Warriors.
"(The knee) feels a whole lot better," said Weems. He said his highlight reel dunk on Monday didn't aggravate it, either. He had missed time due to an ankle injury, as well, but it looks like he's on his way to recovery and is worth watching in deeper leagues.

Tue Nov 9 201000:31Weems (ankle) returns to action vs. Warriors
Sonny Weems (ankle) returned to action on Monday, scoring 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting with six rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 23 minutes off the bench.
He goes off every once in a while, and certainly has the physicality to make some hay in both fantasy and reality, but the lack of production in categories other than scoring and rebounding limits his upside. He's worth a look in deeper formats.
Mon Nov 8 201017:58Sonny Weems is active on Monday
Sonny Weems, dealing with a sprained ankle, is active for the Raptors on Monday.
That means he's likely to play, but it's anyone's guess as to which Weems shows up. The guy who scored 26 points in a game recently, or the one who scored six points in the previous game.

Sat Nov 6 201021:15Weems (ankle) out Saturday vs. Blazers
Sonny Weems will not play on Saturday due to apparent ankle tendinitis.
Julian Wright may get his minutes, but isn't worth a look in fantasy leagues.

Fri Oct 29 201022:17Weems scores 13 in Raptors win
Sonny Weems hit 5-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer in 21 minutes for 13 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal Friday.
We doubt he has fantasy value this season, but will be worth keeping an eye on.
Sat Sep 4 201015:37Sonny Weems working hard on 3-point shooting
Raptors swingman Sonny Weems has been working on this 3-point shooting and is eager for a bigger role next season.
"We're really young but we're going to surprise a lot of teams," said Weems, acknowledging the Raptors' average age of 25 years old. "This year will be the best year of my career, I'll guarantee that." Weems could be a sneaky fantasy option, but only if his work this summer pays off -- he shot 13.3% from downtown last year.

Wed Apr 14 201018:58Weems to play for Raps in season finale
Sonny Weems is a go for the Raptors on Wednesday after suffering a sprained ankle on Monday.
He's been playing well and logging heavy minutes, and could be a decent fantasy start in this important game for the Raps.

Mon Apr 12 201023:12Sonny Weems OK despite sprained ankle
Sonny Weems sprained his ankle late in the fourth quarter on Monday, but said afterward that he is fine -- he should be ready to play on Wednesday.
Weems logged a team-high 40 minutes in Monday's victory, but posted just six points, six rebounds and three assists. He had scored 18 or more points in three straight prior to this, but it might be too late to wring any fantasy value out of him.
Sun Apr 11 201022:14Weems scores 18 points in loss to Bulls
Sonny Weems scored 18 points on 9-of-22 shooting (no threes) with five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block in 37 minutes on Sunday.
If you had predicted Weems would be taking 22 shots in an NBA game prior to this season you might have been laughed out of the room, but that's the reality of him being one of the only Raptors who can get his own shot. He needs to round out his game before he becomes a legitimate fantasy option, though.
Fri Apr 9 201022:43Weems has 18 more points
Sonny Weems continued to put up points, finishing with 18 with three rebounds on Friday.
Predictably, Weems didn't attempt a trey and had zero assists, steals or blocks. He's only an option if you specifically need scoring.
