Tue Jul 31 201209:44Brandon Rush expected to sign with Warriors
Restricted FA Brandon Rush is expected to re-sign with the Warriors shortly.
We've received these updates previously, but head coach Mark Jackson tweeted to Rush that it was "great to have u back," to which Rush responded, "Thanks Coach." Now that Golden State has Carl Landry in the fold, look for an official agreement with Rush to be announced in the very near future.

Mon Jul 30 201208:38Warriors still expect to re-sign Brandon Rush
The Warriors are "expected" to re-sign restricted FA Brandon Rush.
It's the same thing we've heard for a while now, but the Warriors and Rush have yet to agree on a new deal. At this point, Rush may be better off simply accepting his qualifying contract offer and becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2013.

Wed Jul 25 201208:51Rush open to long-term deal with Warriors
Brandon Rush is open to signing a long-term contract with the Warriors.
Our question is what free agent wouldn't be interested in signing a long-term deal? Rush, a restricted free agent, hasn't received a ton of attention to date, but it's likely due to the fact that other teams know the Warriors will match any reasonable offer in order to retain him. "The nature of the business for restricted free agents is that they have to get an offer sheet from somebody else," said agent Mark Bartelstein.

Tue Jul 24 201214:32Brandon Rush still waiting for suitable offer
Brandon Rush continues to wait for a suitable offer in free agency, but said on Tuesday, "Hopefully I'll be back in Golden State."
This sounds like typical FA-speak, but the Lakers are the only team that seems to be actively pursuing Rush and the Warriors can match any offer for the restricted FA. As for his off-season regimen, Rush said he is "trying to improve low-post scoring ... trying to get down there when I play against little guards. And getting bigger and stronger."

Tue Jul 17 201220:17Brandon Rush works out for Lakers
Restricted free agent Brandon Rush worked out for the Lakers on Tuesday, as he hopes to be signed to an offer sheet.
The Warriors have said they'll match any offer and the Lakers don't have a lot of money to throw at Rush, so as of now it appears Rush will return to the Warriors this season, unless another team comes up with an extravagant offer.

Tue Jul 10 201222:47Brandon Rush likely to end up back in GSW
Brandon Rush is very likely to be re-signed by the Warriors, especially now that they've traded Dorell Wright.
Rush was going to be re-signed anyway, but the fact they have a trade exception and hole in the lineup that will need to be filled, Rush is nearly guaranteed to be brought back, and could even start at SF this season.

Sun Jul 1 201215:28Lakers interested in Nick Young, B. Rush
The Lakers are reportedly interested in restricted FA Brandon Rush and unrestricted FA Nick Young.
There's a long line of suitors for Young, who will certainly demand more than L.A.'s $3 million mini-mid-level exception, so we can safely cross him off the list. Rush is somewhat more realistic, but with a $4.4 million qualifying offer from Golden State, he'd be leaving serious cash on the table by signing an offer sheet from the Lakers (which, in any case, the Warriors would have the chance to match). In short, the Lakers' interest probably won't amount to much more.

Tue Jun 26 201218:29Warriors officially make Rush restricted
The Warriors extended a qualifying offer to Brandon Rush on Tuesday, making him a restricted free agent.
It's highly likely that Rush will be back to play for the Warriors this season, and then become an unrestricted free agent next summer.

Fri Jun 22 201220:57Warriors say they'll match offers on Rush
Warriors general manager Bob Myers said Friday that the team is going to keep restricted free agent Brandon Rush.
No surprise, here. The Warriors showed their preference to Rush all season long, and this is another sign that Dorell Wright isn't in the team's long-term plans. Regardless, the team will continue to look for a first or second-tier small forward this offseason.

Fri Apr 27 201208:18Brandon Rush doesn't play on Thursday
Brandon Rush (undisclosed) did not play in Thursday's regular season finale against the Spurs.
Rush sat out with an undisclosed injury. A restricted free agent after the season, the sharpshooting swingman will certainly elicit interest from a number of teams looking to beef up the second unit. Richard Jefferson (knee) also did not play.

Sun Apr 22 201221:24Brandon Rush posts 19 & 9 off GSW bench
Brandon Rush played 34 minutes off the bench on Sunday, scoring 19 points on 8-of-17 shooting with three 3-pointers, nine rebounds, two assists, one block and zero turnovers.
The absence of Dorell Wright has finally cleared the glut of SFs, and Rush soundly outplayed Richard Jefferson (10 points, six rebounds in 25 minutes). He's averaging 19.3 points and 8.0 rebounds over the past three games.

Sat Apr 21 201200:11Brandon Rush goes 9-of-12 from the field
Brandon Rush caught fire on Friday night, scoring 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting eith eight rebounds and two assists as the Warriors lost to the Mavericks.
This is the type of performances owners were hoping for when they inserted Rush into their lineups given the Warriors five-game week. Dorell Wright also had a big game, scoring 19 points and knocking down four three-pointers.

Thu Apr 19 201202:04Brandon Rush scores 10 points in loss
Brandon Rush played 30 minutes, but had just 10 points, five rebounds, a block and a 3-pointer in Wednesday's loss to the Lakers.
Rush hasn't been great this week, but is still getting minutes. He should break out of the funk soon.

Tue Apr 17 201207:00Brandon Rush hoping to re-sign with Warriors
Brandon Rush wants to re-sign with the Warriors.
After never being able to find his role with the Pacers, Rush has carved out a nice role in the rotation off the bench for Mark Jackson. He's shooting 44.4 percent from behind the three-point line and has been effective in stretching the floor when he's out there. Rush definitely holds fantasy appeal the rest of the way, but owners need to keep in mind that he's prone to inconsistency between games.

Tue Apr 17 201205:29Rush disappears in blowout loss to Spurs
Brandon Rush disappeared in Monday's blowout loss, scoring six points on 3-of-5 shooting with one rebound, one assist, and one steal in 23 minutes.
We'd like to point out that the blowout presents an outlier, but the Warriors figure to play in blowouts the rest of the year. We expect Rush to bounce back, but Dorell Wright (17 points, six boards, three treys) is the better play between the two.

Sat Apr 14 201218:37Brandon Rush scores 22 in loss to Clips
Brandon Rush had 22 points, five rebounds, four assists, three blocks and three steals in Saturday's loss.
With Richard Jefferson possibly shut down for the year, Rush is going to get plenty of minutes the rest of the way. He consistently hits 3-pointers, blocks shots and can score in bunches, so make sure he's not still available in your league as the Warriors prepare for the upcoming five-game week.

Fri Apr 13 201201:18Rush scores nine points off the bench
Brandon Rush scored nine points off the bench on Thursday, hitting 4-of-7 shots (including a three) with three rebounds and one assist in just under 30 minutes.
Rush has been hit-or-miss lately, making him a borderline play in the Warriors' upcoming five-game week if owners had to make the call at this moment. Dorell Wright falls in the same boat following his six points, six rebounds, and two assists in 18 minutes tonight.

Thu Apr 12 201202:05Brandon Rush scores 13, fills stat sheet
Brandon Rush had 13 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes on Wednesday.
He's averaging 12.5 points, four boards, one assist and more than two 3-pointers per game over his last three, and looks like a nice option with five games next week, as the blocks and threes are money from a guard.

Tue Apr 10 201204:04Rush scores five points with two blocks
Brandon Rush scored five points on 2-of-5 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, one assist, and two blocks in 24 minutes off the bench of Monday's blowout loss.
We don't want to discount every blowout the Warriors play in, because that's what they do, but the focus for Rush should be whether or not he can be an asset in the Warriors' upcoming five-game week. As of now, the jury is hung.

Sun Apr 8 201202:03Brandon Rush scores 20 pts in win vs. Denver
Brandon Rush scored 20 points to lead a balanced Warriors' attack on Saturday -- he made 8-of-17 FGs, including 4-of-6 threes.
Rush also chipped in five rebounds and two assists in under 30 minutes. This was only the second time in five games that he's scored 10+ points, and his playing time is too shaky to really trust him in Golden State's upcoming four-game week.
