Thu Apr 19 201217:01Lester Hudson done with the Cavs
The Cavs did not re-sign Lester Hudson after his second 10-day contract expired Thursday.
In his last 11 games with the Cavs, Hudson averaged 14.5 points and posted a streak of three straight games with 23 points or more. But the journeyman ended up shooting just 39.1 percent from the field and fell behind Manny Harris on the depth chart. The Cavs probably didn't offer him a guaranteed contract for next season, so he's going to try to latch on elsewhere.

Lester Hudson had six points in just 16 minutes Sunday.
Hudsanity is officially over. He's logged fewer than 20 minutes in three straight games and played behind Manny Harris in the bench rotation Sunday. Kyrie Irving (shoulder) could be back as soon as Wednesday.

Sat Apr 14 201221:40Lester Hudson plays just 19 minutes Saturday
Lester Hudson played just 19 minutes for the second straight game on Saturday, finishing with 10 points, four rebounds, one assist and a 3-pointer.
He also missed three of his six free throws, and has been quiet in two straight games. Donald Sloan is suddenly getting Hudson's minutes, but it's possbile he bounces back on Sunday against the Magic. But if and when Kyrie Irving returns next week, both Hudson and Sloan are going to take a hit.

Fri Apr 13 201222:09Hudson plays just 19 minutes vs. Pacers
Lester Hudson played just 19 minutes off the bench on Friday, scoring seven points on 2-of-6 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds, one assist, two steals, and five turnovers.
Hudson has played pretty loose during his hot streak and it finally caught up to him tonight. We don't want to write him off based on one bad game, but success can be a fleeting thing for players whose pedigree is less-than-stellar. Weigh your options carefully.

Wed Apr 11 201222:12Hudson scores 19, but it wasn't all good
Lester Hudson scored 19 points and hit some big shots in Wednesday's overtime loss to the Pacers, but he did some fantasy damage along the way.
He was just 1-of-9 from downtown and 8-of-20 overall, and also committed six turnovers on the night. He added six rebounds and just two assists, despite playing heavy miuntes again (34). He's now scored between 19 and 26 points in four straight games, and despite tonight's shortcomings, should still be owned in almost all leagues until further notice.

Tue Apr 10 201221:25'Hudsanity' continues as Hudson scores 25
Lester Hudson took over Tuesday's game in the fourth quarter and finished with 25 points, eight rebounds, six assists, a steal, a block and two 3-pointers in a win over the Bobcats.
Hudson has been a beast over the last three games and could end up winning his owners a championship with four more games this week. He's averaging 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, five assists and two steals over his last three games, and he's hit eight 3-pointers during that stretch as well. It's anyone's guess whether or not he keeps it going, but if he's still available in your league, it's time to pick him up.

Mon Apr 9 201213:40Lester Hudson signed for another 10 days
Cavs signed G Lester Hudson to a second 10-day contract.
Hudson has averaged a stunning 14.8 points, 4.2 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals over the last five games. He'll continue to come off the bench, but he's earned significant minutes the rest of the way. Hudson is outplaying Manny Harris and Anthony Parker (sternum, day-to-day) right now.

Mon Apr 9 201212:26Cavs have no plans to make Hudson a starter
Coach Byron Scott does not plan on promoting Lester Hudson into the starting lineup.
Manny Harris is starting at shooting guard while Anthony Parker (sternum) rehabs. Still, Hudson has averaged 27.0 minutes over the last five games as a reserve because he's produced. During that span, Hudson has racked up 14.8 points, 4.2 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals. "I love what he's giving us off the bench right now," Scott said. "It doesn't matter that much about starting. It's about finishing."

Mon Apr 9 201200:52Cavs plan to re-sign red-hot Lester Hudson
The Cavaliers plan to sign G Lester Hudson either to another 10-day contract, or for the rest of the season.
The kid blew up for 26 points and six 3-pointers on Sunday after going for 23 points on Friday. He's unproven and could fail miserably next week, but with five games, he looks worth a roll of the dice if you have room for him.

Sun Apr 8 201221:30Lestery Hudson does it again, scores 26
Lester Hudson, playing on the final day of his 10-day contract, hit 9-of-22 shots and six 3-pointers on his way to a career-high 26 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists and two steals in an overtime loss to the Nets on Sunday.
He hit a huge three to send the game into overtime and you have to think he'll get another 10-day contract later tonight. With five games next week and his 23 points on Friday night, Hudson suddenly looks like a very sneaky fantasy option next week. Just don't bench a stud to get the extra game out of this unproven kid. But if you're struggling to find another starter in a deep league, go get him.

Sun Apr 8 201218:22No decision on another 10-day for Hudson
No decision has been made on whether to sign guard Lester Hudson to a second 10-day contract.
He's been playing well and had a career-high 23 points on Friday. The Cavs will have a decision to make soon, as his current contract is expires on Sunday night. Our guess is that that will sign him to a second 10-day deal, but we're also surprised it hasn't happened yet.

Wed Apr 4 201223:21Lester Hudson gets solid minutes again
Lester Hudson hit just 3-of-13 shots and missed all six of his 3-point attempts, but still had nine points, five rebounds and six assists in Wednesday's loss.
With Kyrie Irving out for the foreseeable future with a shoulder injury, and Daniel Gibson done for the year with foot surgery, Hudson should get plenty of minutes backing up new starting point guard Donald Sloan. Keep an eye on him if you're in a deep league.

Tue Apr 3 201221:33Lester Hudson plays well in ugly loss
Lester Hudson hit 5-of-10 shots and two 3-pointers on his way to 12 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in Tuesday's loss.
Hudson looked good tonight and got some run with the score being so lopsided. He might be worth a flier at some point in the next three weeks, but isn't worth owning at this point. The Cavaliers lost 115-90 tonight, and have lost their last two home games by a total of 72 points.

Mon Dec 20 201014:25Wiz to re-sign guard Lester Hudson
The Wizards have decided to re-sign point guard Lester Hudson.
With John Wall hurting and Gilbert Arenas in Orlando, Kirk Hinrich is the only point guard left standing in Washington. Hudson is actually going to get some burn here, but not enough to make him worth a look in most fantasy leagues.

The Wizards have extended a training camp invite to guard Lester Hudson.
The 58th pick in 2009, Hudson has so far had forgettable stints with the Celtics and Grizzlies. The Wizards currently have 12 players with guaranteed contracts but could start the season with 13, 14 or the maximum 15 -- giving guys like Hudson and Cartier Martin something to fight for.
