With Kevin Love suddenly back, Cunningham's run as an unlikely producer is all but over. Feel free to drop him for a hot free agent.

Sat Nov 17 201202:08Cunningham keeps it going off the bench
Dante Cunningham kept producing off the bench on Friday, scoring 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting with six rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 28 minutes.
In 9-cat leagues Cunningham is producing at an early-late round value on the year, and in 8-cat leagues he has been more of a 14-team asset. Over the last week, however, he has been more of a mid-round value and owners shouldn't sleep on him while he is performing like that. Just realize the party will end as guys get healthy.

Tue Nov 13 201203:03Cunningham puts up another serviceable line
Dante Cunningham scored 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting with eight rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Mavs.
Cunningham has been the preferred option for Rick Adelman through the injuries to Kevin Love and Nikola Pekovic tonight, and there is definitely some short-term, deep league appeal. If that fits your needs, give him a look.

Tue Nov 6 201200:33Cunningham double-doubles off the bench
Dante Cunningham double-doubled off the bench on Monday, scoring 11 points with 11 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks in 26 minutes.
Cunningham has never been a real big stat-stuffer, but if he keeps putting up lines like this he'll catch our attention. With a limited offensive game but plenty of energy, it's entirely possible that Rick Adelman turns to him rather than trot out his nemesis Derrick Williams.

Wed Oct 31 201209:58Report: Dante Cunningham to start at PF
The Minneapolis Star-Tribune expects Dante Cunningham to start for the Timberwolves while Kevin Love (hand) is out.
This would mean Derrick Williams would be coming off the bench and playing with the second unit. Rick Adelman stressed the need for energy and defense with Love sidelined, and that sounds like a good description of Cunningham's style of play.

Sat Oct 20 201203:10Cunningham starts, scores 12 in loss
Dante Cunningham started at power forward for the Wolves on Friday and had 12 points, three boards and three steals in a preseason loss to the Bulls.
Rick Adelman started Cunningham over Derrick Williams and Cunningham played pretty well. The bottom line is it sounds like Andrei Kirilenko will spend a lot of time at PF and Chase Budinger will see minutes at SF in Love's absence. Therefore, we see no reason to give Cunningham, or Williams, much attention in fantasy.

Fri Oct 19 201219:10Dante Cunningham starting for Wolves
Dante Cunningham will start for Minnesota at power forward in Friday's preseason game.
With Kevin Love (broken right hand) out, Cunningham, and not Derrick Williams, will get the call tonight. This is just another sign that Rick Adelman is going to make Williams earn his minutes, and our guess is Andrei Kirilenko and Chase Budinger will be the primary beneficiaries with Love's injury. Cunningham is worth watching, but we're not expecting much.

Sat Oct 13 201201:37Cunningham blocks six shots in 32 minutes
Dante Cunningham played 32 minutes and blocked six shots to go with five points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals in Friday's preseason game against the Pacers.
Cunningham is an energy guy and that profiles well in a sloppy preseason game. Given that he'll be buried in the rotation unless the Wolves experience significant injuries, Cunningham has no fantasy value in the vast majority of fantasy leagues.

Thu Oct 4 201214:11Dante Cunningham back at practice Thursday
Updating a previous item, Dante Cunningham (ankle) returned to practice on Thursday.
Cunningham tweaked the ankle but his absence on Wednesday was just the team being careful in treating him during the first week of training camp.

Thu Oct 4 201209:21Dante Cunningham sits out with twisted ankle
Dante Cunningham (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday.
Cunningham "tweaked" his ankle, but it's unclear if it's the same ankle that gave him issues last season. However, the forward should be fine as it sounds like he just sat out as a precaution.

Wed Jul 25 201210:40Report: T-Wolves to look to trade Cunningham
The Timberwolves are "not expected to keep" Dante Cunningham, a source tells the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
Cunningham was just acquired in the trade that sent Wayne Ellington to the Grizzlies, but the report states that the Wolves have already contacted "at least two teams" in order to expedite another trade to send Cunningham packing. David Kahn appears to be doing some serious roster shuffling in an effort to appease Kevin Love's request for substantial changes.

Tue Jul 24 201216:57Dante Cunningham traded from Griz to Wolves
Dante Cunningham was officially traded from the Grizzlies to the Wolves on Tuesday.
Derrick Williams could see heavy minutes at SF this season, with Michael Beasley out of the way, which means Cunningham should step into a handful of backup PF minutes. As long as Kevin Love is healthy, however, he won't be worth owning in fantasy leagues.

Wed Apr 4 201200:16Dante Cunningham goes 6-of-6 in return
Dante Cunningham returned from an ankle injury on Tuesday and hit 6-of-6 shots for 13 points and five rebounds.
He was great tonight and his strong play limited both Marreese Speights (three points) and Zach Randolph (six points, four boards), but Cunningham doesn't really offer much fantasy value as of now. Just keep an eye on him with the Grizzlies playing five times again next week.

Mon Apr 2 201219:22Dante Cunningham out again Monday
Dante Cunningham (ankle) will not play in Monday's game against the Thunder.
Cunningham has been out since he sprained his left ankle last Friday. It's opened up a secure role for Marreese Speights.

Sat Mar 31 201222:46Dante Cunningham (ankle) out vs. Bucks
Dante Cunningham's ankle injury sidelined him vs. the Bucks on Saturday.
Cunningham could have sporadic fantasy value if Marreese Speights, Rudy Gay or Zach Randolph were injured, but he's fodder for the waiver wire.

Fri Mar 30 201221:26Cunningham leaves game with ankle injury
Dante Cunningham left Friday's game with an ankle injury and his return is questionable.
Cunningham has logged nine minutes with one point, one rebound, two steals, and one block, and any future absence would free up a handful of minutes to the Grizzlies' rotation.

Tue Mar 27 201223:54Cunningham plays well in start at PF
Dante Cunningham got hot on Tuesday in a rare start at power forward, finishing with season highs of 41 minutes, 13 points and 14 rebounds, along with two steals and four blocks.
This one came out of nowhere with Marc Gasol sidelined with an ankle injury. Cunningham had totaled just 28 minutes, nine points and five rebounds over his previous four games, so don't get too excited - especially with Gasol due back on Friday.

Sat Feb 4 201202:38Cunningham posts versatile, low-end line
Dante Cunningham played 25 minutes off the bench on Friday, scoring two points on 1-of-5 shooting with four rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one block.
Cunningham is never going to burn up the charts, but he's a better fantasy option than starter Marreese Speights (13 minutes, four points). If you're in a deeper format, keep an eye on Cunningham to see if he can build off his current momentum.

Thu Feb 2 201223:27Cunningham nears double-double; could get run
Dante Cunningham scored eight points on 4-of-6 shooting with 12 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block over 28 minutes off the bench in Thursday's blowout win.
Cunningham has played 24 minutes in 2-of-3 games entering tonight, and went for six & 10 and four & six in two of the outings, with the other game being an eight-minute special. He doesn't have the size that Marreese Speights has, but he's scrappy and might end up being Lionel Hollins de facto power forward when he's not running a small lineup. Deep leaguers should keep an eye on Cunningham.

Thu Jan 5 201200:22Dante Cunningham quiet in start for Z-Bo
Dante Cunningham hit just 1-of-7 shots for two points and three rebounds in another start for Zach Randolph, who could miss a couple months with a knee injury.
Newly acquired Marreese Speights didn't play tonight, but will soon, while Josh Davis had five points and five boards off the Grizzlies bench. Speights has a chance to get nice run in Randolph's absence, but chances are guys like Marc Gasol, Rudy Gay and Mike Conley will pick up much of the slack.
