Sat Feb 22 201423:47Dante Cunningham starts at center for MIN
Dante Cunningham started at center and had 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal on 5-of-8 shooting in 33 minutes.
Nikola Pekovic was close to playing in this one, but needed another day of rest, but with Ronny Turiaf out indefinitely, Cunningham is going to see a lot of minutes in the middle in the next few weeks. He's not worth owning in most leagues, but could be worth a flier in deep ones.

Sat Feb 22 201419:45Dante Cunningham will start vs. Jazz
Dante Cunningham will start against the Jazz on Saturday.
The Wolves are without Ronny Turiaf and Nikola Pekovic and are running out of options at center. Cunningham hasn't been great in games which he's seen extended playing time, but the matchup tonight makes him a playable option in many formats.

Thu Feb 20 201400:41Dante Cunningham plays 24 minutes
Dante Cunningham played 24 minutes off the bench against the Pacers on Wednesday with 10 points, seven boards, one steal and two blocks.
He could be in line for more playing time with Ronny Turiaf going down due to a knee injury. Cunningham has played a lot of minutes next to Kevin Love before and should see minutes in the 20s while Nikola Pekovic (ankle) and Turiaf are down. He's worth a look as a short-term add in deeper leagues.

Mon Feb 10 201423:56Dante Cunningham goes back to bench role
Dante Cunningham scored two points with five boards and one assist in 18 minutes against the Rockets on Monday.
His minted were a little less than expected with Love back up to his huge minute total, and Cunningham was undersized to go up against Dwight Howard. He's not worth owning in most leagues.

Sat Feb 8 201423:20Dante Cunningham puts up double-double
Dante Cunningham posted his first double-double of the season on Saturday with 14 points, 10 boards, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 39 minutes.
He played big minutes with Kevin Love (quad) out tonight for the ninth double-double of his career. Love not playing tonight was a bit of a surprise, so Cunningham is unlikely to have much staying power as a pickup in standard leagues. On the other hand, he did play 29 minutes on Friday and could have value in deep leagues until Nikola Pekovic (ankle) comes back.

Sat Feb 8 201420:00Dante Cunningham starting for Kevin Love
Dante Cunningham will start in place of Kevin Love (thigh) on Saturday vs. the Blazers.
The Wolves will go with Ricky Rubio. Chase Budinger, Corey Brewer, Cunningham and Turiaf tonight. Love's injury is not considered serious and he could be back as soon as Monday. As for tonight, Cunningham played 29 minutes with Love in the lineup on Friday, so he should be very busy.

Sat Feb 8 201401:39Dante Cunningham gets some extra run
Dante Cunningham played 29 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday during a 98-91 loss with two points, six boards, one assist, one steal and one block.
Ronny Turiaf only played 21 minutes and Gorgui Dieng played just seven to help alleviate the loss of Nikola Pekovic (ankle). Cunningham has seen some decent minutes, but he's not a great add since Pek shouldn't be out much later than just after the All-Star break at worst.

Thu Feb 6 201401:05Dante Cunningham goes nuts in start for Love
Dante Cunningham got the start at power forward for Kevin Love (back) on Wednesday and went off for 22 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and three 3-pointers on 9-of-12 shooting.
Wow. The Wolves still couldn't pull out a win over the Thunder, but Cunningham did a very nice Kevin Love imitation. Love's injury doesn't appear to be serious, but any time he's going to miss, it looks like Cunningham will be the guy to pick and play. But the chances of him hitting 9-of-12 shots and playing this well again this season are slim.

Sat Feb 1 201400:27Dante Cunningham scores 12 points vs. Memphis
Dante Cunningham played 18 minutes off the bench with 12 points, seven boards, and one steal against the Grizzlies on Friday.
The Wolves will use him as a big man and as a bit of a stretch four with his average jumper and this is his second game with 12 points. If this line is attractive to you in your deep league, give Cunningham a look.

Wed Jan 29 201423:16Dante Cunningham gets hot off bench
Dante Cunningham hit 6-of-7 shots for 12 points and six rebounds off the bench in Wednesday's win.
He hasn't done much this season but got some run with Nikola Pekovic out with an Achilles injury. There's no need to move on him at this point, but he might be worth keeping an eye on going forward in case this is the start of something.

Thu Dec 19 201300:44Dante Cunningham returns from ankle injury
Dante Cunningham returned from a sprained ankle and played 26 minutes on Wednesday, finishing with four points, seven rebounds, two steals and a block.
Cunningham would have to crack the starting lineup to offer any fantasy value, and while he could possibly replace Corey Brewer if the Wolves decide to put Brewer on the pine, it's not likely to happen.

Wed Dec 18 201311:48Dante Cunningham (ankle) avoids major injury
Dante Cunningham's ankle is not broken and he doesn't have any swelling, though he is "sore as hell."
Although this shouldn't be a long-term injury, we're not expecting to see Cunningham on Wednesday. His probable absence means more minutes for Luc Mbah a Moute and Gorgui Dieng.

Mon Dec 16 201322:51Dante Cunningham doesn't return on Monday
Dante Cunningham suffered a left ankle sprain in Monday's loss to the Celtics and did not return.
He was playing great on Monday, finishing with 12 points, six boards and two assists on 5-of-6 shooting. Coach Rick Adelman said he's "sure" Cunningham is going to be out and it would appear Gorgui Dieng and Luc Mbah a Moute would pick up some of the minutes. Cunningham should be considered highly doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Blazers.

Sat Dec 7 201323:16Dante Cunningham quiet in 17 bench minutes
Dante Cunningham came off the bench vs. Miami for four points, two rebounds, two steals and one block in 17 minutes during Saturday's game.
Kevin Love was out for personal reasons and we were hoping that Cunningham would take advantage of extra playing time, but Rick Adelman started Luc Mbah a Moute at PF for defensive reasons vs. the Heat and Cunningham never got going.

Sun Nov 17 201317:38Dante Cunningham steals five in win
Dante Cunningham matched his season high with 12 points in Saturday's win over the Celtics to go with four boards, three assists, one block and five steals in 28 minutes.
Most of his production came with the Wolves up big, but his best two games of the season have been his last two. Cunningham will have a tough time staying consistent while the Wolves are healthy in the frontcourt.

Sat Nov 9 201303:26Cunningham plays 30 minutes off the bench
Dante Cunningham played 30 minutes off the bench on Friday, posting six points on 3-of-6 shooting with seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.
Cunningham saw a few extra minutes with Derrick Williams missing the game due to back spasms, and he could be worth a look as a short-term play if Williams misses more time and Chase Budinger is still out.

Tue Oct 8 201314:31Dante Cunningham back from illness on Tues.
Dante Cunningham (illness) returned to practice on Tuesday.
He's had flu-like symptoms since Sunday and has been held out of action. Derrick Williams looked good at small forward on Monday, so the Wolves should be more comfortable with Cunningham being their primary backup at power forward.

Sun Oct 6 201317:07Dante Cunningham out with flu-like symptoms
Dante Cunningham did not practice on Sunday due to flu-like symptoms.
The Wolves used their team option on him over the summer and he'll give them some depth at power forward. With Derrick Williams expected to play more small forward because of Chase Budinger's knee surgery, Cunningham serves as Kevin Love's backup. He doesn't have value in standard leagues, though.

Fri Jun 28 201312:58Wolves use team option on Dante Cunningham
The Timberwolves exercised their one-year team option on Dante Cunningham for next season.
It was just a $2.2 million option and this was an expected move from Minnesota. Cunningham got plenty of run with Kevin Love hurt for almost the entire year while Nikola Pekovic missed 20 games. Cunningham played 25.1 minutes per game last season, which will likely drop below the 20-minute mark next year.

Fri Jun 7 201309:28Report: Cunningham a near lock to return
Dante Cunningham, who has a team option for next season in his contract, is "close to a lock" to return to the Timberwolves next season.
Cunningham showed the ability to play multiple positions and do whatever the team asked of him last season, so we'd be shocked if Minnesota decided to cut bait and move on. He's a capable backup big man on a very reasonable deal, so there isn't much incentive for the team to part ways with Cunningham.
