In the preseason a bunch of Sacto beat writers thought that Buckets had been either outplayed or matched by Jimmer Fredette, and beyond that there have been more questionable moments for Thornton than positive, clarifying moments. With McLemore breathing down his neck, a shorter leash for MT23 is probably best.
