Pekovic provided 17 points (7-13 FG, 3-3 FT) with 10 rebounds in 31 minutes in the win over the Pistons on Thursday.
Pekovic had a quiet game in the opener against Memphis, but found better production against the Detroit bigs. Unlike many other centers, Pekovic will not help in blocks, but his production should be more along the lines of his second game rather than his first.

Pekovic scored just five points with eight rebounds in 29 minutes in Wednesday's loss to Memphis.
Pekovic struggled in the season opener as he was just 2-of-9 from the field, had three turnovers and helped allow opposing center Marc Gasol to score 32 points. At least Pekovic looks healthy after last season's ankle issues.

Minnesota head coach Flip Saunders says he wants to limit Pekovic's minutes this season in order to keep him healthy, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Saunders says he'll attempt to limit both Pekovic's total minutes and his in-game stints. Gorgui Dieng could get more playing time off the bench as a result.

Pekovic scored 15 points (6-11 FG, 3-3 FT) with 13 rebounds in just 19 minutes during Wednesday's preseason win over the Bucks.
The T-wolves wanted to get a longer look at Gorgui Dieng off the bench, but Pekovic didn't seem to have much left to prove in this one anyway. He doesn't block many shots and has trouble staying healthy, but Pekovic's other production makes him a strong mid-round front court option at the draft table.

Pekovic scored 12 points with nine rebounds in 19 minutes in Friday's preseason win over Philadelphia.
A strong outing for Pekovic who more importantly looks healthy in his preseason debut after missing most of last season with an ankle injury. Pekovic had a minor procedure in the offseason where plasma cells were injected into his right ankle.

Pekovic, who will play in Friday's preseason game, had a minor procedure in the offseason where plasma cells were injected into his right ankle, Andy Greder of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Pekovic struggled with his health at times last season, so anything that could lead to him being more reliable should be considered a good thing in fantasy circles. He was held out of the preseason opener to rest, but will take the court Friday, and should be healthy for the start of the regular season.

Pekovic is expected to play in Friday's preseason game, T-Wolves' radio announcer Alan Horton reports.
He sat out Tuesday's preseason game to rest, but he's clearly healthy enough to play, and the T-Wolves just want to pick their spots during the preseason.

Thu Oct 2 201414:50Pekovic held out of Thursday's practice as precaution
Pekovic was held out of Thursday's practice as a precaution, Andy Greder of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
The Wolves are taking it easy with Pekovic, who dealt with foot and ankle injuries near the end of last season. While those issues have not resurfaced during camp, the team limit Pekovic's workload in an effort to preserve him for the regular season.
Fri Jun 6 201416:05Nikola Pekovic ankle is finally 'pain-free'
Flip Sanders stated that Nikola Pekovic's ankle is finally "pain-free."
While Pekovic is a serious talent in the league, he has yet to play a full season in his NBA career, missing an average of 25 games over the past four seasons. Pekovic should be well rested, and healthy coming into this years training camp, but with the amount of games missed over his career he has earned the "injury prone" label, and remains a risk-reward type of player.

Sun Apr 13 201420:51Nikola Pekovic (ankle) may be done for season
Nikola Pekovic (ankle) will not play on Sunday and he's doubtful to return this season.
The Wolves aren't playing for anything in their final three games so it makes sense to keep Pekovic on the bench. He tried valiantly to play through his ankle bursitis but ultimately the injury shut him down again, allowing rookie Gorgui Dieng to thrive with extended minutes in the starting lineup.

Fri Apr 11 201410:59Nikola Pekovic listed as doubtful
Nikola Pekovic (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Friday's game against the Rockets.
It's not official yet, but it looks like Pekovic is shutting it down for the season. Backup Gorgui Dieng is averaging an eye-opening 12.0 points, 11.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 11 starts this season.

Wed Apr 9 201418:55Pekovic, Martin, Shabazz, Budinger, Barea out
Nikola Pekovic (ankle), Kevin Martin (foot), Shabazz Muhammad (knee), Chase Budinger (ankle) and J.J. Barea (back) will not play on Wednesday vs. the Bulls.
This will be Pek's fifth game out of the lineup in a row and there is no sign of his return. Gorgui Dieng has been great and put up a double-double on Tuesday, so he's safe to deploy again. Ronny Turiaf has helped off the bench, but he's looked like he's lost a step since his return. Pekovic can be cut everywhere.

Mon Apr 7 201413:53Nikola Pekovic (ankle) won't return vs. Spurs
Nikola Pekovic (ankle) is expected to miss his fourth straight game on Tuesday.
His ankle bursitis has bothered him since late January and he's aggravated it twice by trying to return to action. With the Wolves' season drawing to a rapid close and no chance of a playoff berth, it makes sense for Minnesota to shut down their burly center for the six games which remain. At the moment, however, he's still listed as day-to-day.

Fri Apr 4 201411:29Nikola Pekovic listed as questionable
Nikola Pekovic (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Heat.
The Wolves did not practice on Thursday, so there was no Pekovic update. But given how balky his ankle has been of late, we'd be surprised if he returned in this spot. Gorgui Dieng is certainly on the plug-n-play radar again, especially against a Heat team that often gets destroyed by bigs. Dieng is averaging 12.0 points, 13.3 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and 1.1 steals in his seven starts this season.

Wed Apr 2 201418:52Nikola Pekovic (ankle) will not play vs. MEM
Nikola Pekovic (sore right ankle) will not play in Wednesday's contest vs. the Grizzlies.
He's definitely a shut-down candidate considering he has aggravated his ankle injury multiple times in the past month. Pekovic can be cut in all leagues while Gorgui Dieng is solid player to own even with Ronny Turiaf (knee) back.

Wed Apr 2 201412:47Nikola Pekovic (ankle) 'probably' out vs. MEM
Nikola Pekovic (ankle bursitis) "probably won't play" vs. the Grizzlies on Wednesday, according to beat writer Jerry Zgoda.
Pek intends to have his ankle re-evaluated this summer, and he's a candidate to be shut down with Minnesota out of the playoff race and rookie Gorgui Dieng playing very well as a replacement at center. "I still have no idea," Pekovic said, referring to his status for the Wolves' final nine games. "It's not on me to deal with it. I don't know. It's just been a tough year for me."

Tue Apr 1 201411:47Nikola Pekovic dealing with lingering pain
Nikola Pekovic (ankle) is still dealing with lingering pain.
Pekovic left Monday's game with pain in the same ankle that caused him to miss 17 games earlier this season and will take a couple days to rest and see how things go. "I have things in the same spots so it's kind of tough to deal with," Pekovic said. "I'm trying to play. It's just tough. Sometimes it's just tough." With nine games left in the season and nothing for the Wolves to play for, Pekovic will leave a decision on being shut down to the team. "I don't know how I feel about it," Pekovic said. "It's not on me to deal about that. I just don't know. It's been a tough year for me." The Wolves play Memphis on Wednesday so it sounds like he'll most likely miss at least game, making Gorgui Dieng an attractive pickup in standard leagues.
