Wed Mar 5 201419:22Nikola Pekovc still on a minutes limit
Nikola Pekovic is still on a minutes limit for Wednesday's game vs. the Knicks, according to coach Rick Adelman.
He played 26.0 minutes per game in his previous two games and it should be interesting to see how much his minutes are kept down considering how horrible the Knicks have been with respect to interior defense.

Sun Mar 2 201400:33Nikola Pekovic has big game in return
Nikola Pekovic returned from a 13-game absence with an ankle injury and played 28 minutes Saturday, finishing with 20 points, nine rebounds and a block on 8-of-12 shooting.
He played like he hadn't missed any time and the plan to limit his minutes was apparently thrown out the window. Get him back in your lineup.

Sat Mar 1 201422:00Nikola Pekovic will start vs. Kings
Nikola Pekovic (ankle) is in the starting lineup against the Kings for Saturday's game.
He is going to play limited minutes tonight, which is not a surprise after he missed over a month with his Achilles/ankle issue. Pekovic should be owned in all standard leagues, but his upside isn't high enough to toss him back in your lineup until he puts up some decent lines.

Fri Feb 28 201418:45Nikola Pekovic expected to get limited time
Nikola Pekovic is expected to play limited minutes on Saturday night at Sacramento, according to Flip Saunders.
Pekovic has been practicing the past couple days with the team and should be ready to go after missing over one month of action. He plays just 32.5 minutes per game on the season, so he's likely going to be in the 20s in his return.

Fri Feb 28 201416:12Nikola Pekovic goes through 5-on-5 again
Nikola Pekovic (ankle) went through 5-on-5 scrimmaging on Friday and is questionable for Saturday.
It's his second consecutive day of going through 5-on-5 workouts. Pekovic has been out since Jan. 27 with complications to his Achilles and ankle, but he sounds like he'll have a good chance to play on Saturday after being a game-time call on Tuesday. Owners of Dante Cunningham should prepare for his value to take a significant hit.

Thu Feb 27 201415:33Nikola Pekovic (ankle) scrimmages Thursday
Nikola Pekovic (ankle) went through a five-on-five scrimmage during Thursday's practice.
We'll have to wait to see how his ankle reacts to the activity, but this bodes well for his availability vs. the Kings on Saturday. Pek hasn't played since Jan. 27 and the Wolves can sorely use his return to the frontcourt as they attempt to overcome a five-game deficit for a spot in the playoffs.

Nikola Pekovic will not play on Tuesday, missing his 13th straight game with a right ankle injury.

Tue Feb 25 201414:17Nikola Pekovic (ankle) game-time on Tuesday
Nikola Pekovic (ankle) will be a game-time decision vs. Phoenix on Tuesday.
Although it's encouraging that he's even contemplating a return, owners will need to hedge their bets until Minnesota's pre-game warmups. "I still can't really promise anything unfortunately," Pekovic said. "It's tough going through all this stuff ... sometimes you feel pain and sometimes you don't. It's been frustrating for me." The Wolves only play twice this week, Tuesday and Saturday, leaving fantasy owners in a precarious position if he picks up another DNP.

Mon Feb 24 201409:56Nikola Pekovic (ankle) questionable for Tues.
Nikola Pekovic (ankle bursitis) is questionable to play on Tuesday, but Wolves' play-by-play announcer Dave Benz said that Pek "is close" to returning.
It's been just under a month since Pekovic was shut down. Coach Rick Adelman wouldn't venture a guess on Sunday as to when he might get his starting center back, but Benz's quote provides some cause for optimism and Pekovic was seen working on the court prior to Sunday's game. He should be considered day-to-day but owners may want to shelve him in weekly lineups -- Minnesota plays just twice this week, and if he sits on Tuesday he'll have an extra four days of rest before Saturday's road game in Sacramento.

Sat Feb 22 201419:41Nikola Pekovic (ankle) won't play vs. Jazz
Nikola Pekovic (ankle) will not play against the Jazz on Saturday night.
He's been out since Jan. 27 with his Achilles/ankle issue and is getting much closer. Pekovic did some pre-game work and was a game-time decision tonight, so there's a good chance he'll be able to play on Sunday vs. the Blazers. Dante Cunningham figures to get the most amount of playing time while Gorgui Dieng and Luc Mbah a Moute could get a little more action.

Sat Feb 22 201419:23Shelvin Mack starting, not Mike Scott
Shelvin Mack will start at shooting guard on Saturday.
The team will bring Mike Scott off the bench and start DeMarre Carroll at power forward. The Hawks can get away with the smaller lineup against the Knicks, but Scott should still see plenty of action. Mack is still a risky player even though he's in the starting lineup.

Sat Feb 22 201413:58Nikola Pekovic a game-time call Saturday
Nikola Pekovic is a game-time decision on Saturday due to his ankle injury.
He'll test the ankle just before game time and make a decision on if he can play or not. And if he does give it a go, his minutes are expected to be limited. The Wolves desperately need him back now that Ronny Turiaf will be shut down for a few weeks.

Fri Feb 21 201413:45Pekovic and Kevin Martin expected back soon
Coach Rick Adelman said it's possible both Nikola Pekovic (ankle) and Kevin Martin (thumb) will play on the Wolves' upcoming five-game road trip.
Both starters sound close. Pekovic, who hasn't played since Jan. 27, has been participating in drills along with Martin. They'll go on the road with the team and take it on a day-to-day basis. Pekovic shouldn't be on any waiver wires as he was averaging 18.0 points and 9.1 rebounds on 53.2 percent shooting before his injury.

Thu Feb 20 201413:56Nikola Pekovic does drills on Thursday
Nikola Pekovic (ankle) did some drills on Thursday at the team's practice and is still listed as day-to-day.
He's been out since Jan. 27 due to Achilles and ankle issues and does not have a timetable to return. The Wolves also may have lost Ronny Turiaf to a knee injury on Wednesday, so Dante Cunningham figures to get most of the minutes next to Kevin Love should the Wolves not have both players. Pekovic should be considered questionable for Saturday.

Wed Feb 19 201411:23Nikola Pekovic (ankle) iffy for 5-game trip
Rick Adelman suggested that Nikola Pekovic (ankle) "might do some drill work" during the Wolves' upcoming five-game road trip, but Pek has no return date.
Pekovic has already been ruled out for Wednesday's game and he doesn't sound likely to play until the Wolves return to Minnesota on March 5. "He's got to get on the court and practice some," Adelman said. "It's not only the injury, but the conditioning is something we have to really look at it." Ronny Turiaf and Gorgui Dieng will do their best to man the C position in Pek's absence, and fantasy owners need to start weighing their need for immediate production vs. the possibility of getting Pek back for the fantasy playoffs.

Nikola Pekovic (ankle) will not play on Wednesday.
He's still unable to practice on his ankle, which is afflicted with bursitis, and rest is the only real cure. There's a chance that he could play on Saturday or Sunday, but we're unlikely to know his status for those games until Friday at the earliest.

Sat Feb 8 201418:34Pekovic (ankle) likely out through A.S. break
Nikola Pekovic (ankle bursitis) is not expected to play until after the All-Star break.
"He really hasn't gone on the court and worked or done anything," said coach Rick Adelman. "I don't really expect [him to play before the break]." The Wolves will likely provide another update on Sunday and it's unsurprising to see them taking the cautious route with Pekovic, especially since they can get him an extra week of rest by keeping him out a few more games.
