Sat Feb 22 201422:52Mike Scott scores 30 points, hits six treys
Mike Scott scored a career-high 30 points during Saturday's 107-98 win to go with eight boards and six 3-pointers in 30 minutes.
He shot 11-of-14 from the field and was knocking down shots all over the floor. Scott just had a season high on Friday and he's turning his season around quickly after about a two-week slump. Paul Millsap wasn't in the lineup tonight and the Hawks basically plugged Scott into his role with plenty of chances on the perimeter and in the high post. Millsap is day-to-day, so Scott isn't the strongest pickup in standard leagues.

Sat Feb 22 201417:58Mike Scott will start for the Hawks
Mike Scott will start in place of Paul Millsap against the Knicks on Saturday.
He's coming off a 20-point game against the Pistons, but had cooled off before that. Scott has almost be a poor-man's Channing Frye lately for only putting up points and treys while coming off the bench. He only had one start under his belt this season and it yielded just eight points. He's not a must-play option, but he could have a lot of points against Carmelo Anthony.

Sat Feb 22 201400:28Mike Scott drops season-high 20 points
Mike Scott scored a season-high 20 points on Friday with five boards, one block and two 3-pointers.
He scored the Hawks first eight points of the second quarter and had an easy time getting good shots. Scott's numbers have dropped off a little bit in February, averaging 9.5 points, 4.3 boards and 1.3 triples on his previous eight games. He's really just a short-term add until Pero Antic comes back.

Tue Feb 18 201421:46Mike Scott scores 13 in Hawks loss
Mike Scott had 13 points, seven rebounds and a 3-pointer on 5-of-9 shooting in Tuesday's loss.
He was really struggling prior to the All-Star break, but was back to form tonight. He was helped by the absence of DeMarre Carroll, who sounds unlikely for Wednesday, as well, while Gustavo Ayon left early with a shoulder injury tonight. With the Hawks' nice playoff schedule and Scott having a nice season, it makes sense to hang onto him despite his struggles just prior to the break.

Tue Feb 11 201423:01Mike Scott goes cold again in loss to Bulls
Mike Scott played just 18 minutes and hit 3-of-7 shots for eight points, two rebounds, one assist and two 3-pointers in Tuesday's loss.
He was 0-for-5 and failed to score on Saturday, but was playing very well (and consistently) prior to these two duds. He had scored in double digits in 13 straight games before the minutes drop, although we doubt he continues to see less than 20 minutes a night. Look for him to get back to form after the break and keep in mind the Hawks have a great head-to-head playoff schedule in fantasy leagues this season.

Sat Feb 8 201422:36Mike Scott fails to score against Memphis
Mike Scott missed all five of his shots and failed to score in 16 minutes of action against the Grizzlies on Saturday.
Scott was rolling coming into this one, averaging nearly 16 points, six rebounds and two 3-pointers over his previous five games, but finally cooled off tonight. Hopefully you didn't use him in a daily money league, like many of us did.

Thu Feb 6 201401:39Mike Scott scores 16 off Hawks bench
Mike Scott hit 5-of-12 shots and four 3-pointers for 16 points and five rebounds in Wednesday's loss.
He's been cruising lately, despite coming off the bench, and is averaging 15.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.8 3-pointers over his last five games. He hasn't had a block or a steal over that stretch, but with the Hawks great schedule throughout the fantasy playoffs, it's time to think about picking him up. Despite coming off the bench, he's hit double figures in scoring in 13 straight games, and always racks up some boards and threes, as well.

Tue Feb 4 201422:50Mike Scott leads Hawks in scoring Tuesday
Mike Scott came off the bench to hit 4-of-8 shots and two 3-pointers on his way to 15 points, five rebounds and two assists in Tuesday's loss to the Pacers.
The Hawks reserves went on a late run to cut a big Hawks' lead down to three points, but couldn't finish the comeback. Scott has basically been putting up lines just like this one for a month now, and should continue to do so.

Sat Feb 1 201423:25Mike Scott scores 14 in win over Wolves
Mike Scott came off the bench for 14 points, six rebounds and a 3-pointer in Saturday's win.
Elton Brand eight points and seven boards off the bench, while starter Gustavo Ayon finished with just two points and four rebounds in 20 minutes. Pero Antic should be nearing a return, which will hurt all three players. Scott has been the best of the bunch lately, averaging 14.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and a 3-pointer over his last five games.

Sun Jan 26 201400:10Mike Scott in double figures again on Sat.
Mike Scott was effective off the bench on Saturday with 14 points, four boards and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes.
Of his 11 January games, Scott has been in double-figure scoring in 10 of them -- the only one was a nine-point game on Jan. 6. In January, Scott has 1.0 triples per game, is shooting 51.0 percent from the field and 84.4 percent from the line, so he's been a solid four-category guy with little turnovers.

Sun Jan 12 201420:57Mike Scott pitches in 15 pts off Hawks' bench
Mike Scott stepped up for the Hawks' short-handed frontcourt on Sunday, scoring 15 points with four rebounds and three 3-pointers off the bench.
Scott played 28 minutes and this marks the fifth time he's reached double-digits in six January games. He's chipping in 1.7 threes, 3.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 0.8 steals during that stretch, but he's failed to block a single shot and remains unreliable option in standard leagues while Paul Millsap is healthy.

Fri Jan 10 201423:43Mike Scott scores 14 points off the bench
Mike Scott provided a spark off the bench for the Hawks on Friday with 14 points, two boards, three assists and two steals on 7-of-10 shooting in just 18 minutes.
He started out hot in the first quarter with a couple exciting dunks. Scott has been a potent source of offense over his last five, scoring 12.4 points on 55.8 percent shooting in only 18.2 minutes. He's an interesting player to look at in deeper leagues with his relatively high ceiling.

Wed Jan 8 201422:47Mike Scott scores 15 points in 17 minutes
Mike Scott came off the bench to hit 5-of-9 shots and a 3-pointer for 15 points, four rebounds and one assist in Wednesday's win over the Pacers.
Scott's not going to carry any fantasy teams right now, but is productive off the bench, averaging 11.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 0.8 3-pointers over his last five games, in 20 minutes per night.

Sun Jan 5 201401:17Mike Scott scores 12 off Hawks bench
Mike Scott hit 4-of-10 shots and two 3-pointers for 12 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal in 25 minutes off the bench on Saturday.
Scott also scored 12 points on Friday and should get some nice run at backup power forward the rest of the way. However, he's not quite as hot of a pickup as we thought he'd be given the emergence of center Pero Antic, who is starting for the Hawks.

Sat Jan 4 201400:51Scott scores 12 points with one three
Mike Scott scored 12 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 4-of-7 shots (including a three) with three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 18 minutes.
The minutes are obvious a problem but one can see how he can fill it up in a hurry, making him a guy to watch in 12-14 team leagues at the very least.

Tue Dec 31 201316:13Mike Scott quiet in start at SF vs. Celtics
Mike Scott started at SF vs. Boston but only had eight points, seven rebounds and one block in 28 minutes.
This was just Scott's third blocked shot of the entire season, he has a grand total of eight steals and he's shooting 30.9 percent beyond the arc, so owners shouldn't have expected a versatile output in his fill-in start. With DeMarre Carroll (thumb) day-to-day, there's no reason to go near Scott in standard leagues.

Tue Dec 31 201312:13Mike Scott to start for Hawks on Tuesday
Mike Scott will start for the Hawks when they take on the Celtics Tuesday afternoon.
Scott has seen an increase in playing time over his last five games, but he hasn't responded with a huge increase in productivity. The second-year forward has averaged 8.4 points and 3.8 rebounds over his last five games, but he doesn't offer much fantasy value to anyone other than daily fantasy owners who are looking for a cheap option.

Sun Dec 29 201321:07Mike Scott held to five points in 17 minutes
Mike Scott couldn't build on Saturday's 18-point loss vs. the Magic, as he finished with just five points, four rebounds and one steal in 17 bench minutes.
Scott's ability to play multiple positions is useful for a Hawks team trying to regroup after losing Al Horford, but he won't be a reliable fantasy option unless Mike Budenholzer gives him considerably more playing time. On a per-36-minute basis, Scott has career averages of 18.2 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.2 blocks. Fantasy owners should keep those lousy defensive numbers in mind.

Sat Dec 28 201322:39Mike Scott scores 18 off the bench in win
Mike Scott played 21 minutes off the bench against the Bobcats on Saturday, scoring 18 points with six boards and three 3-pointers on 6-of-11 shooting.

Thu Dec 26 201323:38Mike Scott plays just eight minutes vs. Cavs
Mike Scott played eight minutes against the Cavs on Thursday with three points, one assist and one 3-pointer.
If Al Horford (shoulder) needs to miss time, coach Mike Budenholzer might have to get creative with his big man. Scott has barely played next to Paul Millsap and has almost exclusively played power forward this year, so he is not a direct beneficiary of the Horford news. Additionally, Scott does have a handful of minutes as a small forward, so he might get some run with DeMarre Carroll (thumb) also hurt. He's worth a speculative add in deeper leagues.
