Sun Jun 30 201310:23Clips may pursue Lamar Odom w/ minimum deal
The Clippers reportedly want to re-sign Lamar Odom, but they may only offer him a veteran's minimum contract.
Odom's game isn't what it used to be, as evidenced by his 39.9 percent shooting last season, but he can still be a useful and versatile bench player for a playoff contender. The 33-year-old forward hasn't given any indication about his preferences in free agency.

Fri May 3 201310:08Odom has strong words for Clippers teammates
Lamar Odom had strong words for his Clippers teammates in advance of a do-or-die Game 6 on Friday vs. the Grizzlies.
"I don't know if it's just about [lack of] intensity," he said. "It might be more about paying attention to detail and understanding what sacrifice is and how to sacrifice yourself for the team." It's pretty rich that Odom would be the one to speak on the issue given the effort he provided in Dallas last year and the fact that he showed up to Clippers training camp overweight and out of shape, but at least someone is talking. Odom added he's tried to take a leadership role all year, but some of his advance has "fallen on deaf ears." The Clippers are up against it and the Grizzlies smell blood in the water with Game 6 in Memphis.

Thu May 2 201310:27Lamar Odom would start if Griffin can't play
If Blake Griffin (ankle) can't play in Friday's Game 6, Lamar Odom would "probably" start in his place.
Yikes. Odom hasn't received a blurb since the end of February, a telling indication of how valuable he's been for fantasy owners this season. If Griffin can't go, the Clippers will need just about everyone to step up, Odom included.

Wed Feb 27 201308:28Lamar Odom in better physical condition
Vinny Del Negro reiterated that Lamar Odom is "physically feeling better."
"We need him to be more aggressive like that," he said. "It doesn't mean he's always going to get 18 points or shoot that high a percentage, but the threat of him doing that changes everything for us when he's that aggressive." Del Negro is right and Odom will be very important down the stretch with VDN's noted trust issues with DeAndre Jordan.

Wed Feb 27 201302:02Lamar Odom scores six points in easy win
Lamar Odom cooled off on Tuesday with just six points in 21 minutes, but did have seven rebounds, two assists, three blocks and two 3-pointers.
As we've mentioned, the Clippers' schedule is terrible and while Odom continues to come on, his fantasy schedule will make him a very risky proposition going forward, especially given his inconsistency. The Clippers remaining weekly games-played schedule goes 3-2-3-4-3-3-2 to finish out the season, so owners would be wise to look for a better option if games played matter in your league.

Mon Feb 25 201308:48Lamar Odom finally in basketball game shape
Lamar Odom is now in shape "after struggling with his conditioning" this season.
It took long enough. Odom is coming off a game where he had 18 points, six boards, two assists and a steal, and he's going to have to play a critical role the rest of the way if the Clippers are going to make legitimate noise. Vinny Del Negro does not trust DeAndre Jordan to be on the court late in games, and it's painfully obvious to anyone who watches. Odom plans to "keep at it," which is good news for his team and any owners relying on his production.

Sun Feb 24 201301:41Lamar Odom scores season-high 18 points
Lamar Odom scored a season-high 18 points vs. Utah on Saturday, making 8-of-15 field goals with six boards, two assists and one steal.
First the bad news. This was only Odom's second game of the season with 10+ points, and his role was inflated by garbage time in the fourth quarter. The good news is his jumper may have returned after spending the first 50 games of the season on a beach in Mexico -- he made 4-of-6 shots beyond 17 feet, including two 3-pointers.

Fri Feb 22 201301:50Lamar Odom plays 16 minutes vs. Spurs
Lamar Odom played 16 minutes in his return from an eye injury during Thursday's loss to the Spurs, scoring four points with four boards, one assist and one steal.
It was nice to see LO not miss any games since he had a trip to the hospital a week ago. He's playing just 20 minutes per night with the Clippers and doesn't have much value while the Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan are healthy.

Thu Feb 21 201321:40Lamar Odom will play against the Spurs
Lamar Odom (eye) has been cleared to play against the Spurs on Thursday.
He was in both of the practices this week and there seems to be nothing wrong with his eye. Odom had to go to the hospital last Thursday and it's nice to see that he's ready to go again. He doesn't have much value with DeAndre Jordan snapping out of his funk.

Fri Feb 15 201301:14Lamar Odom goes to the doctor Thursday
Updating a previous item, Lamar Odom will have his eye examined by a local doctor on Thursday night.
This isn't a good sign and the swelling around his eye after he was poked could be trouble. The All-Star break could be enough time to recover, but this might not be a day-to-day issue.

Thu Feb 14 201323:43Lamar Odom leaves game with eye injury
Lamar Odom was poked in the eye by teammate Matt Barnes in the second quarter of Thursday's game and his return is doubtful.
He did take the free throws after a foul was called on the Lakers, but his left eye was clearly irritated and he headed to the locker room. It's too soon to speculate and hopefully he didn't scratch his cornea or retina.

Tue Feb 12 201308:43Clippers want Lamar Odom to score more often
The Clippers want Lamar Odom to be more aggressive and look for his own offense more frequently.
"I've talked to Lamar about that," Vinny Del Negro said. "He understands that. Lamar has to pick his spots out there where he's comfortable at." Odom needs to be an offensive weapon as the Clippers desperately need a reliable big man on the floor late in games, and VDN seems to have no interest in putting DeAndre Jordan in that role.

Sat Feb 9 201301:23Lamar Odom puts up a goose egg
Lamar Odom did not score in 22 minutes against the Heat on Friday.
He added two boards, two assists, two blocks and one steal, so it wasn't a total waste. Odom will have a tough time maintaining value while DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin are healthy.

Wed Feb 6 201322:17Lamar Odom with six steals in start
Lamar Odom started for Blake Griffin (hamstring) and had eight points, five rebounds, four assists, six steals and a 3-pointer on 3-of-6 shooting Wednesday.
He's worth keeping an eye on going forward, but once Griffin's back, Odom will continue to be inconsistent off the bench. He hasn't hit double figures in scoring since Dec. 15.

Mon Feb 4 201321:44Lamar Odom quiet in fill-in start for Blake
Lamar Odom started at PF in place of Blake Griffin (hamstring) on Monday, but he fouled out in 32 minutes with just three points, nine rebounds and five turnovers.
Griffin's absence came out of the blue just before tip-off so there was no way to capitalize on Odom's fill-in start, which it turns out was probably a good thing (Odom added one assist with zero steals or blocks). It's unclear whether Blake will be ready to play on Wednesday.

Mon Jan 28 201300:21Lamar Odom coming to life for Clippers
Lamar Odom had eight points, 13 rebounds, six assists and a steal on 4-of-7 shooting in 29 minutes on Sunday.
He had six points, zero boards and just one assist on Saturday, but looked like a new player tonight. He is still on a ton of rosters after the five-game week and given tonight's performance, it probably makes sense to hold onto Odom for another week. That's a change from our stance 24 hours ago, but that was also before he followed one of his worst games of the season with one of his best.

Sun Jan 27 201301:07Lamar Odom disappears in loss to Blazers
Lamar Odom hit 3-of-6 shots for six points, zero rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes on Saturday.
Yuck. He was a somewhat popular play with five games this week, but hasn't scored more than eight points in any of his last five games, and the zero boards tonight ruined the nice run he was having on the glass over the past five games. He'll be back at it again on Sunday, but then can probably be dropped in weekly leagues.

Fri Jan 25 201301:37Lamar Odom shooting 11 shots, grabs 11 boards
Lamar Odom shot 2-of-11 from the field for four points with 11 boards and four assists in 28 minutes against the Suns on Thursday.
His 28 minutes were the most he's played in one month and DeAndre Jordan (10 points and four boards in 18 minutes) continues to lose playing time to him. Jordan not having Chris Paul around really limits his offensive capabilities, so Odom could remain a stop-gap option in some deeper formats. Jordan is still worth owning in all standard leagues for his upside in blocks, boards and field goal percentage.

Wed Jan 23 201301:36Lamar Odom plays 27 minutes on Tuesday
Lamar Odom played 27 minutes off the bench and had eight points, seven boards and one assist against the Thunder on Tuesday.
Odom's minutes have been trending upward, but he has cracked double-digit scoring just once this year. He's worth monitoring in deeper leagues and he's hurting DeAndre Jordan (seven points and six boards in 21 minutes) with his increased workload.
