Wed Feb 20 201323:26Ray Allen scores 15 with two 3-pointers
Ray Allen hit 6-of-12 shots and two 3-pointers for 15 points, four rebounds and two assists in Wednesday's win.
Allen is coming on a bit, scoring 15, 13 and 14 in his last three games while knocking down six treys. But unfortunately, that is his ceiling, meaning he's not a great option in most fantasy leagues unless you're desperate for threes. And if that's the case, teammate Shane Battier could be an even better option.

Thu Feb 14 201323:26Ray Allen scores 13 in 30 minutes Thursday
Ray Allen scored 13 points with three rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes against the Thunder on Thursday.
He shot 1-of-5 from downtown and February hasn't been kind to him from that range, making just 21.7 percent of his attempts. Consequently, his field goal percentage over that span is an ugly 26.1 percent. While we don't expect him to average 49.1 percent from the field like he did back in November, Allen should certainly bounce back very soon and is worth owning in all leagues that count 3-pointers.

Sun Feb 10 201318:38Ray Allen returns from flu with two points
Ray Allen returned from his illness on Sunday and had just two points, one rebound, two assists and one turnover in 21 minutes against the Lakers.
He shot 1-of-6 from the field and missed both of his 3-point attempts. While he's only scoring 10.5 points per game this year, Allen is producing ninth-round value thanks to 1.7 triples and 87.2 percent shooting from the charity stripe.

Sun Feb 10 201314:08Ray Allen (flu) will play vs. Lakers
Ray Allen (flu) will play on Sunday.
Allen is 3-of-22 from the field in his past four games, but we haven't heard any complaints about his ankle and it's only a matter of time before the shots start falling.

Fri Feb 8 201311:06Ray Allen likely out Friday vs. Clippers
Ray Allen is considered doubtful to play on Friday against the Clippers due to the flu.
The Heat are listing Allen as a game-time call, but he's being called doubtful by all of the Miami media. Without him in the lineup, the seldom-used Mike Miller could make a cameo.

Fri Feb 1 201323:39Ray Allen scoreless for third time in career
Ray Allen was held scoreless against the Pacers for just the third time in his 16-year career.
This was his second ugly game in a row following his six-point game on Wednesday. Allen still played 27 minutes, handed out five assists and had three steals, so it's not all bad. He should remain owned in all leagues that count 3-pointers.

Sun Jan 27 201317:38Ray Allen returns to TD Garden with 21 points
Ray Allen made his return to TD Garden on Sunday and has 21 points, five boards, one block and two 3-pointers in 38 minutes.
He set season highs in minutes and with his 17 shot attempts. In his last 10 games, Allen played in just 24.1 minutes per game and scored 10.8 points. While he's worth owning in all leagues that count 3-pointers, his owners shouldn't except him to clear 30 minutes with great regularity.

Sat Jan 26 201309:38Doc hopes Celtics fans don't boo Ray Allen
Ray Allen will return to TD Garden on Sunday for the first time and Doc Rivers said he hopes the crowd cheers the former Celtic.
That's nice of Rivers to say, but Allen's Heat teammates are far less enthusiastic about a potential warm greeting in Boston. "I don't expect it to be good," LeBron James said about the reception. "If you don't wear green, in that building they don't like you." Knowing the Celtics crowd, we expect he'll get his fair share of boos, but it could very well drive Allen to one his best games of the season, which would make owners very happy.

Thu Jan 24 201300:07Ray Allen scores 18 points vs. Toronto
Ray Allen shot 7-of-10 from the field for 18 points in Wednesday's 123-116 overtime win over the Raptors with two rebounds and four 3-pointers in 29 minutes.
He hasn't scored more than 10 points in any of his previous four games, so a nice outing on Wednesday was a welcomed sight for his owners. Despite the lack of scoring, Ray averaged 2.0 triples in his last five games and he's still worth owning in all formats that reward for 3-pointers.

Wed Jan 23 201308:02Ray Allen: I could retire after this season
Ray Allen said it's possible he could retire after this season.
It's possible, yeah," Allen said. "Who knows what's going to happen over the course of the summer? I have two years left on my contract. We'll see how it goes." Allen is averaging 11.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 1.7 3-pointers on 46.8 percent shooting this season.

Tue Jan 15 201309:05Ray Allen using aqua titanium on calves
Ray Allen is wearing small, circular bandages on his calves that are called "aqua titanium."
According to Allen, he has been using them since his days in Milwaukee. "They promote blood flows in the areas that you put it to on your body," he said. Allen has had issues with his calves previously, but it sounds like using the aqua titanium will keep him on the floor as he usually is.

Fri Jan 11 201301:49Ray Allen bounces back from goose egg
Ray Allen missed a big shot down the stretch late in the fourth quarter and had 15 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in 29 minutes during Thursday's 92-90 loss to the Blazers.
He was coming off a goose egg in the scoring department, failing to score on Tuesday in 16 minutes. The all-time leader in 3-pointers is shooting an impressive 45.0 percent from downtown this season, which is just 0.3 percent below his career high in a season. He should be owned in all leagues that count triples.

Sun Jan 6 201320:52Ray Allen scores 20 pts w/ three 3-pointers
Ray Allen scored 20 points on Sunday, his highest total in over a month, knocking down 8-of-12 field goals with three 3-pointers.
Allen hit open shots, but more encouraging were his repeated drives into (and through) the Wizards' defense. He added six rebounds, one steal, one block and zero turnovers in the flashback performance, and is now averaging 2.5 threes in his past four games.

Thu Jan 3 201300:06Ray Allen finally getting hot again
Ray Allen made three 3-pointers for the second game in a row with 15 points, seven boards and one assist in 27 minutes against the Mavericks on Wednesday.
He's been battling a shoulder injury since Christmas, but two games impressive shooting games in a row should certainly alleviate the concern of owners. He's shooting 45.6 percent from deep, which puts him on pace for a career high. His production from beyond the arc makes him an asset in all eight- and nine-cat leagues.

Ray Allen (shoulder) went through shootaround and will play on Wednesday.
Allen ran into Hedo Turkoglu in the final moments of Monday's game, but he shook it off and will be out there on Wednesday. Use him like you normally would.

Mon Dec 31 201219:48Allen scores 17 points against the Magic
Ray Allen scored 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting (including three treys) with four steals in 33 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Allen ran into a Hedo Turkoglu screen in the game's final moments and was subbed out, but we doubt it was anything serious. We'll let you know if he shows up on the injury report.

Sat Dec 29 201201:14Ray Allen (shoulder) returns with nine points
Ray Allen (shoulder) returned to action on Friday, scoring nine points on 3-of-13 shooting (including two threes) with five rebounds in 29 minutes off the bench.
Allen's value is found in his 3-point shooting and solid percentages. It's enough to give him mid-to-late round value on the year, so owners in 8- and 9-cat leagues shouldn't dismiss the lower counting stats.

Fri Dec 28 201212:05Ray Allen (shoulder) will play on Friday
Ray Allen (shoulder) will play on Friday.
With Dwyane Wade being suspended, Mike Miller is expected to start. Allen will come off the bench, but should play a larger role on Friday than he does traditionally. He's averaging 11.7 points, 1.8 3-pointers and 0.9 steals in just over 25.5 minutes per game this year.

Wed Dec 26 201218:16Ray Allen inactive Wednesday vs. Bobcats
Ray Allen won't play against the Bobcats on Wednesday due to a stinger in his right shoulder.
Allen hurt the shoulder late in Miami's Christmas Day game against OKC. We're a little surprised he's sitting out Wednesday considering he only missed one possession. Still, this doesn't seem to be a major issue so those in daily leagues should remove him from your lineup for tonight. Expect to see more of Mike Miller and Shane Battier with Allen sidelined. James Jones could also see some time off the bench.
