Sat Feb 1 201400:37Hawes quiet in 18-minute effort on Friday
Spencer Hawes was quiet in Friday's blowout loss to the Hawks, logging just 18 minutes with six points, four rebounds and two assists.
This is probably a blip on the radar but the timing isn't great after Brett Brown talked about moving Lavoy Allen into the starting lineup. Allen has never really been able to sustain significant minutes and Hawes is one of the few rotation quality players that the Sixers have. Just keep your eye out for a nagging injury in the meantime.

Fri Jan 31 201418:04Brown wants to move guys around in rotation
Coach Brett Brown said on Friday he "wants to move pieces around" and could start Lavoy Allen and Hollis Thompson over Spencer Hawes and James Anderson.
Before Hawes' fantasy owners freak out, Brown is likely just doing his due diligence. The Sixers have been abused on interior defense and have gone 3-10 over their last 13 games. Hawes' minutes are a littler higher than many projected at 31.9 per game, but he should still be viewed as a top-10 center in fantasy leagues even if Brown makes the bold move. Thompson would only be worth a look in very deep leagues.

Wed Jan 29 201422:54Spencer Hawes drops 20 points vs. Boston
Spencer Hawes was hot from beyond the arc with four 3-pointers against the Celtics on Wednesday, scoring a total of 20 points with eight boards, two assists and one steal.
He's scored at least 14 points in each of his last four games and is coming out of a shooting funk. Hawes' field goal shooting this month has been sub-par, making just 41.2 percent from the field in his previous January games. He's still doing plenty in boards, blocks, steals and triples to be considered as a No. 1 fantasy center.

Wed Jan 15 201423:26Spencer Hawes heating up again for 76ers
Spencer Hawes had 17 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, a block and three 3-pointers on 7-of-12 shooting in Wednesday's win.
He's hot again after scoring in single digits in three straight games, and has now hit double digits in three straight, averaging nearly 17 points, 10 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.0 blocks and 2.3 3-pointers per game over that stretch. Keep riding him while he's rolling. His 14 boards tied his season high.

Fri Jan 10 201422:11Spencer Hawes scores 16 points vs. Pistons
Spencer Hawes had his first double-double of 2014 on Friday with 16 points, 10 boards, six assists, one block, one steal and three 3-pointers in 38 minutes.
His six dimes were his second-highest total of the season and he turned in his biggest line of 2014 tonight. In his previous five games this year, Hawes averaged 9.6 points, 6.6 boards, 3.6 assists, 1.4 steals, 1.2 blocks and 1.2 triples. He's a terrific fantasy center in standard formats.

Mon Jan 6 201421:42Spencer Hawes has second dud in a row
Spencer Hawes was quiet in Monday's blowout loss to Minnesota, scoring seven points with six boards, four assists, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes.
He was coming in a little cold over his previous two games due to 11 fouls in those games, but he only had two tonight. While the scoring hasn't been there in his last three, Hawes averaging 8.0 boards, 4.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.3 block and 1.0 triples are still going to make him a top-end center. This could be a buy-low chance.

Sat Dec 21 201323:51Spencer Hawes scores 25 points w/ 11 boards
Spencer Hawes bounced back on Saturday with 25 points, 11 boards, two assists and two 3-pointers on 10-of-15 shooting vs. the Bucks.
He was coming off his worst two-game stretch, averaging only 6.0 points, 8.0 boards, 1.0 triples and no blocks. Hawes is still getting plenty of run, but it's been a while since his last eye-catching line. His owners shouldn't be too concerned about his name popping up in trade rumors at least until the trade deadline comes around.

Mon Dec 16 201323:30Hawes scores just two points in blowout loss
Spencer Hawes scored just two points on 1-of-5 shooting with seven rebounds, two assists and a steal over 26 minutes in Monday's blowout loss to the Nets.
Hawes struggles with a sore knee as recently last week and his name has also been in the trade rumor mill. That last point is something owners should consider, as a move away from Philly could be disastrous for the current top 15-20 per-game value.

Thu Dec 12 201300:07Spencer Hawes 20 points in bounce-back game
Spencer Hawes bounced back from an ugly game on Monday with a line of 20 points, six boards, three assists, three blocks and four 3-pointers in 34 minutes.
It would have taken the ultimate worrier to be genuinely concerned after his two-point dud on Monday. Hawes is putting up second-round value this season thanks to his fantasy friendly averages of 15.1 points, 9.7 boards, 3.1 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.8 triples on 49.6 percent from the field.

Mon Dec 9 201323:00Spencer Hawes scores two points in 23 minutes
Spencer Hawes scored a season-low two points against the Clippers on Monday, adding four rebounds, three assists and two turnover in 23 minutes.
It was his first game this year without a 3-pointer and he matched his season low in rebounds. Hawes has been a revelation this year and is basically a perfect fit for Brett Brown's system as a stretch five, so his owners should not be the least bit concerned about his first dud of the year. He should bounce back on Wednesday against the Wolves.

Sun Dec 1 201318:55Spencer Hawes goes for a full line Sunday
Spencer Hawes shot 5-of-15 from the field for 11 points with nine boards, five assists, one steal, three blocks and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes against the Pistons on Sunday.
He played just 25 minutes in his return to the lineup on Friday and he would have likely seen a few more minutes had he not checked out at 3:05 left in the fourth quarter of a 114-98 game. Hawes is having a magnificent season and hopefully his knee soreness doesn't come back any time soon.

Fri Nov 29 201318:28Spencer Hawes and Thaddeus Young starting
Spencer Hawes (knee) will start at center for the Sixers against the Pelicans on Friday.
Thaddeus Young will also move back into the starting lineup after coming off the bench on Wednesday. Hawes had almost a week off to get over his knee soreness and hopefully can get back to putting up some huge numbers. He played in 131 consecutive games before this, but his knee was a minor issue in the preseason. It's safe to put him back into all fantasy lineups.

Fri Nov 29 201312:00Spencer Hawes (knee) questionable for Friday
Spencer Hawes said that his knee was feeling good, and he hoped to play Friday vs. New Orleans.
Hopefully we'll have more information closer to tip-off, but if he is a go, obviously he is a must-start. If he plays Lavoy Allen will head to the bench.

Wed Nov 27 201317:43Spencer Hawes (knee) won't play vs. Magic
Spencer Hawes (knee) will not play against the Magic on Wednesday night.
It will be his second game on the sidelines after playing in 131 consecutive games. Hawes is dealing with knee soreness and should be considered questionable against the Pelicans on Friday. The Sixers should get Thaddeus Young back, and they'll look to guys like Hollis Thompson, Daniel Orton and Lavoy Allen to help get minutes at center to try and stop Nikola Vucevic

Tue Nov 26 201313:47Spencer Hawes (knee) expected to play Wed.
Spencer Hawes (sore left knee) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday, but coach Brett Brown said the Sixers "expect him to play."
This is terrific news for fantasy owners, as Hawes' sore knee appears to be a temporary issue, but we'll wait for confirmation on Wednesday before declaring him good to go. His return will send Lavoy Allen back to the bench.

Mon Nov 25 201313:14Spencer Hawes (knee) doesn't practice Monday
Spencer Hawes (knee) did not practice on Monday.
He did not play on Saturday due to knee soreness and this injury has bothered him over the past couple years. Hawes had knee soreness in training camp and has dealt with it earlier in his career. He'll have until Wednesday to heal up before starting the Sixers three-game week. Hollis Thompson has stepped it up and hopefully the team will have Thaddeus Young (personal) back for that game, too.

Sun Nov 24 201312:52Hawes (knee) expected to play before Wroten
76ers coach Brett Brown said that Spencer Hawes (sore knee) is likely to return before Tony Wroten (strained back).
This is encouraging news for Hawes, though it's still uncertain when he'll return to action. "I only learned right before [Saturday's] game that it would be in [Hawes'] best interest to sit, and obviously we'll follow the wishes of the doctor, and off we go." Fantasy owners should consider Hawes questionable to suit up vs. the Magic on Wednesday.

Sat Nov 23 201318:44Spencer Hawes out Sat. with knee soreness
Spencer Hawes will not play against the Pacers on Saturday due to left knee soreness.
He had a deep bone bruise end his season back in 2010 and he also dealt with knee soreness just as training camp started. Hawes is one of the biggest breakouts of the season with averages of 16.8 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.9 triples. He should be questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pacers. Lavoy Allen will start while rookie Hollis Thompson will get a chance to build off his great game from Friday.

Sat Nov 23 201300:46Hawes hits game-tying three to force OT
Spencer Hawes hit a game-tying three to send Friday's game against the Bucks into overtime, and finished with 25 points on 11-of-16 shooting (including three treys), 12 boards and two assists as the Sixers came out on top in the final frame.
Hawes and his first round value could be the biggest difference-maker in fantasy basketball this season given his draft position. Evan Turner added 27 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal and zero threes or blocks in the win.
