Mon Jul 21 201416:24Jazz officially sign Trevor Booker
The Jazz officially signed Trevor Booker on Monday.
Booker averaged 6.8 points, and 5.3 rebounds with the Wizards last season, and he will have to fight for minutes in a crowded Utah frontcourt of Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter. Booker is not a fantasy option in standard leagues.

Tue Jul 15 201413:40Utah Jazz sign F Trevor Booker
Utah Jazz sign F Trevor Booker.
Trevor Booker is set to sign a two-year, $10 million with the Utah Jazz, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports. Booker was solid in averaging 6.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 0.6 steals, and 0.6 blocks in just under 22 minutes per game with the Wizards last season, but will join a crowded frontcourt in Utah. The 26-year-old has potential to produce, but Booker may not see much of a minutes boost playing behind Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter and will have trouble producing anything more than deep-league fantasy value.

Sat Jul 12 201410:16Knicks continue to pursue FA Trevor Booker
The Knicks have "continued to show interest" in unrestricted FA Trevor Booker, according to Marc Berman of the NY Post.
Another half-dozen teams have been linked to Booker, who averaged 6.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 0.6 steals and 0.6 blocks in under 22 minutes per game last season. The 26-year-old also shot 55.1 percent from the field, including 61.9 percent from within eight feet, and teams view him as an affordable source of frontcourt depth.

Tue Jul 1 201410:13Trevor Booker getting interest from teams
Unrestricted free agent Trevor Booker is getting interest from the Heat, Wolves, Jazz, Nets, Knicks, Magic and Wizards.
Who says Cook Books are obsolete? Anyway, Booker is below average in several facets of his game besides rebounding, but teams shifting more focus on 3-pointers makes offensive rebounding a bit more valuable. He wouldn't start on really any team and would have the most fantasy value on the Jazz.

Sat Jun 28 201422:12Trevor Booker to become unrestricted FA
The Wizards declined to make a qualifying offer to forward Trevor Booker on Saturday, which will make him an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Booker is an adequate big man, but far from a game changer. He'll be free to sign with any team this summer.

Mon Jun 9 201414:37Trevor Booker: 'a lot of teams are calling'
Pending free agent Trevor Booker stated in a recent interview "a lot of teams are calling right now, [and] we're in negotiations with a few different teams."
Booker probably shouldn't have said that considering that he's still under contract with the Wizards until June 30, and he's not even allowed to negotiate with other teams until July 1. What Booker is describing is called "tampering," and as we saw with Phil Jackson earlier this month, it's possible the league dishes out a fine to the teams that have reached out to Booker.

Fri Jun 6 201409:47Trevor Booker expected to require more money
Restricted free agent Trevor Booker will require more than his original qualifying offer of $3.4 million.
Because of his playing time, Booker meets the "starter criteria" in the NBA's collective bargaining agreement. The Wizards are expected to try and bring Booker back for his rebounding prowess even with the increase in pay.

Sun Apr 27 201412:11Update: Trevor Booker starting for Wizards
As expected, Trevor Booker is starting at power forward in place of Nene (suspended) for Sunday's Game 4.
Booker will have some big shoes to defend on both ends of the floor, as Nene had been playing nice D on Joakim Noah in this series. While Booker looks like a decent sleeper play today, the odds seem better than Noah will have a big game.

Sun Apr 27 201411:42Wittman mum on Wizards starting lineup
Randy Wittman wouldn't reveal who will start Sunday's Game 4 in place of suspended power forward Nene, but all signs are pointing toward Trevor Booker.
Booker held down the job earlier in the season when Nene was out, although Drew Gooden came on with a few nice games late in the season. It would be surprising to see someone other than Booker in the first unit today.

Sun Apr 20 201423:30Trevor Booker quiet in bench role in Game 1
Trevor Booker shifted to the bench and had three points, six rebounds and one assist in his new role behind Nene on Sunday.
Booker logged 19 minutes which isn't too much lower than the 25 per game he averaged as a starter this season. He made only 1-of-3 shots and struggled against the length of Chicago's frontcourt, but coach Randy Wittman seems ready to ride Booker ahead of Drew Gooden (three minutes) and Al Harrington (two minutes).

Wed Mar 26 201423:06John Wall drops 29 points vs. Suns in loss
John Wall made 10-of-22 from the field against the Suns on Wednesday during a 99-93 loss, scoring 29 points with one rebound, six assists, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers in 41 minutes.
He has increased his field goal shooting in each month of 2014 and is putting up 20 points per night in March. Wall shot totals are down and his dimes are up, so he's really understanding how to facilitate an offense. He's in elite territory right now.

Sat Mar 22 201404:26Cooked Book: Trevor Booker gets 15 minutes
Trevor Booker played just 15 minutes due to foul trouble against the Lakers on Friday, scoring 10 points with three boards, one assist, two steals and one block.
He was overshadowed by seasoned vets Al Harrington and Drew Gooden tonight. Booker does have double-digit scoring games in four of his last five, averaging 9.4 points, 6.2 boards, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 steals on 60.0 percent from the field in that span, so he's held up as a low-ceiling player to own in standard leagues for now.

Wed Mar 19 201401:49Trevor Booker has 10 & 8 in OT loss
Trevor Booker started and had 10 points, eight rebounds, two steals and a block in Tuesday's overtime loss to the Kings.
Booker has really struggled recently and is averaging just 6.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks over his last five games. The emergence of Drew Gooden is a concern, as is the fact Booker has scored six or zero points in three of his last five games. He also aggravated a finger injury tonight, but was able to play through it.

Sat Mar 15 201401:10Booker double-doubles in win over Magic
Trevor Booker double-doubled with 11 points and 11 rebounds in Friday's win over the Magic.
Booker also chipped in with a steal and block and if he could do this with more frequency he'd be on to something, but he has been well off the fantasy radar for a while now. If Bradley Beal misses significant time it could open things up for Booker to be productive, but we're not behind an add in 12-16 team formats.

Wed Mar 5 201423:17Cooked Book: Trevor Booker scores four points
Trevor Booker scored just four points in 16 minutes against the Jazz on Wednesday with four boards, one assist and one steal.
Coach Randy Wittman has played the matchups at the power forward spot for much of the season while Nene was out, so Booker flopping to the likes of Drew Gooden and Al Harrington is particularly discouraging. Kevin Seraphin (knee) has been out the entire time while Nene went down and Booker's goose might be cooked as a fantasy option in most leagues. He doesn't have a high upside anyway.

Mon Mar 3 201421:42Trevor Booker gets 37 minutes vs. Grizzlies
Trevor Booker scored 15 points in 37 minutes against the Grizzlies on Monday with seven boards and one block.
His 37 minutes tonight were his second-highest total all season and coach Randy Wittman gave Booker an extended look against a stout defense. Kevin Seraphin (knee) did not play due to a knee issue and the Wizards probably won't be asked to play big minutes once he's able to return. Booker is worth holding in several formats for his double-double potential.

Sat Mar 1 201422:54Trevor Booker looks a little better vs. 76ers
Trevor Booker played 29 minutes during Saturday's 122-103 win over the Sixers, scoring 14 points with seven boards, two assists and two blocks.
He was a mild disappointment on Thursday with just 21 minutes in a triple-overtime game, but coach Randy Wittman went back to him tonight. Kevin Seraphin (knee) did not play tonight, so Booker's path to minutes is far from clear. His inability to block shots will also cost him some upside in some leagues. He's more of a 14- and 16-team guy for now.

Thu Feb 27 201423:54Trevor Booker doesn't do much in his start
Trevor Booker played just 21 minutes against the Raptors during a triple-overtime win with five points, seven boards and one rebound.
It's not a good sign to see Booker only play 21 of the 63 minutes in this marathon of a game, especially with no Kevin Seraphin (knee) tonight. He didn't look to be 100 percent and was taking a lot of fadeaway jumpers, so perhaps his ankle isn't 100 percent. If Booker is still floating around on waivers, this game certainly doesn't help his case as an add.

Tue Feb 25 201422:12Trevor Booker quiet, plays through ankle
Trevor Booker suffered a sprained left ankle, but had it re-taped and was able to play through it on Tuesday.
He finished with just three points and seven rebounds on 1-of-5 shooting, but also had two steals and two blocks. He played 30 minutes and as long as his ankle injury doesn't linger, he should be better in his next game. However, Kevin Seraphin was out tonight, and will move into a timeshare with Booker once he's over his knee injury.

Tue Feb 25 201419:46Trevor Booker (ankle) limps to locker room
Trevor Booker suffered a left ankle sprain on Tuesday and went to the locker room with a trainer.
He's getting his ankle re-taped and will try to return. With Nene and Kevin Seraphin also out, Marcin Gortat is going to get a heavy load, while Al Harrington and Chris Singleton should also see a lot of run, if Booker is limited.
