Wed Sep 29 202118:44Tim Anderson Suspended But Elects To Appeal
Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson has been suspended for three regular season games by the MLB. The decision has been made in response to Anderson making contact with an umpire in Monday's game against the Detroit Tigers. Anderson has elected to appeal the suspension, so he is still eligible to play while his appeal is being processed. He's in the starting lineup and leading off in Wednesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. The suspension has no bearing on the post-season so if the appeal takes more than a few days and Anderson loses it, he will serve some or all of the suspension next season.

Mon Sep 27 202112:00Tim Anderson Sitting Against Tigers On Monday
Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson is absent from the starting lineup for Monday's game against Matt Manning and the Detroit Tigers. Leury Garcia is getting the start at shortstop for the game while Luis Robert is bumping up to the leadoff spot. Anderson has been seeing a few days off per week since returning from the injured list in mid-September. He missed about two weeks due to a hamstring injury to kick off the month. The team wants to manage his workload while looking ahead to the postseason. Anderson's power numbers have been down a bit this year, but he's been great otherwise. Over 118 games, he's slashing .302/.331/.460 with 16 home runs, 18 stolen bases, 58 RBI and 91 runs.

Wed Sep 15 202119:32Tim Anderson Out Of The Lineup On Wednesday
Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Janson Junk and the Los Angeles Angels. Leury Garcia is starting at shortstop while Luis Robert is back in the leadoff position. Anderson missed nearly two weeks with a left hamstring strain before making his return in Tuesday's game. He went 1-for-5 with a pair of strikeouts in his return. Anderson is likely just being eased back into the lineup as we haven't heard any other reasoning for his omission from Wednesday's lineup. Expect to see him back in action on Thursday.

The Chicago White Sox activated shortstop Tim Anderson (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. He is back in the starting lineup and leading off for the game. Anderson has been out since September 1 due to a left hamstring strain. The injury came at a rough time for him as he had put together a fantastic month of August. He slashed .315/.323/.543 with five home runs, 16 RBI and 18 runs last month. Wed Sep 8 202121:25Tim Anderson Takes Batting Practice Wednesday
Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (hamstring) took batting practice on Wednesday, according to James Fegan of The Athletic. Anderson was placed on the injured list on September 1 after straining his left hamstring. It's a step in the right direction, and hopefully, he can continue his progression and make it back on the field before the season's end. He's continued to be one of the best hitting shortstops in baseball this year, contributing in multiple categories while slashing .302/.331/.458 with 14 HRs, 53 RBI, 82 runs, and 17 SBs. Utility man Leury Garcia should continue to play short for the Sox until Anderson's back but provides little value with a .691 OPS and three home runs in 105 games.

Wed Sep 1 202112:52Tim Anderson Placed On Injured List With Hamstring Strain
The Chicago White Sox placed shortstop Tim Anderson (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list due to a strained left hamstring on Wednesday. The move is retroactive to August 29. The hamstring injury has been lingering for a while for Anderson. However, he's coming off a strong month of August in which he slashed .315/.323/.543 with five home runs, 16 RBI and 18 runs. Anderson sat out the team's last two games as Leury Garcia took over at shortstop. Garcia should continue to serve as the team's primary shortstop while Anderson is out.

Sun Aug 29 202112:13White Sox Rest Tim Anderson On Sunday
Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson will get a routine day off in Sunday's series finale versus the Chicago Cubs. The veteran has been hitting the ball very well of late to the tune of a .341 with one home run, six RBI and a stolen base over his last two weeks. For the season, Anderson is hitting .302 with 14 home runs, 53 RBI and 17 stolen bases. Anderson remains one of the most productive all-around shortstops in the game and with the White Sox finally have a healthy lineup, he should start to score more runs. Replacing Anderson on Sunday will be infielder/outfielder Leury Garcia. Garcia will bat ninth in a tough matchup versus Kyle Hendricks and can be avoided in DFS this afternoon.

Mon Aug 23 202116:41Tim Anderson Miss Third Game In A Row
Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (leg) will miss his third game in a row on Monday against the Toronto Blue Jays. The organization claims that Anderson is dealing with general leg soreness. Possibly, the White Sox just want to be cautious with their slugging shortstop down the stretch of the season. Nonetheless, Danny Mendick will draw the start at shortstop and bat eighth versus righty Alek Manoah. DFS players can go ahead and avoid Mendick in this tough matchup. Hopefully, Anderson is back in the lineup within the next day or two.

Sun Aug 22 202111:25Tim Anderson Will Miss Second Straight Game
Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson will miss his second consecutive game on Sunday versus the Tampa Bay Rays. Manager Tony La Russa said that Anderson's "legs are barking" and that if it were October, Anderson would be able to play. It's good news that Anderson isn't hurt and is just sore at the moment. The talented shortstop is having another productive season and is hitting .303 with 14 home runs, 51 RBI and 17 stolen bases. The shortstop remains day-to-day and will be replaced in the lineup by infielder Danny Mendick. Mendick will bat eighth versus Chris Archer and is a dart throw in DFS.

Sat Aug 21 202111:52Tim Anderson Getting A Rest Day Saturday
Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. This appears to be a routine rest day, so Anderson can recover for the stretch run. Fantasy managers should expect Anderson to be back in the lineup for Sunday's contest. In the meantime, Danny Mendick will cover shortstop and bat eighth versus righty Luis Patino. Mendick doesn't have much upside with the bat and is batting in a low spot in the order. DFS players can certainly find a better option for Saturday's slate.

Sat Aug 21 202101:29Tim Anderson Leads The Way Over Rays
Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson was the offensive star Friday night, going 3-for-6 with a home run, two RBI, and four runs scored in a 7-5 11-inning victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. Anderson's home run, his 14th of the season, was a game-tying solo shot in the top of the ninth inning off relief pitcher J.T. Chargois. Anderson has shown a flair for clutch home runs lately, but more importantly he's slashing .338/.338/.606 with five home runs in his last 15 games. Fantasy managers should never sit Anderson, especially when he's on this kind of power binge.

Wed Aug 11 202111:46Tim Anderson, Yoan Moncada, Luis Robert Sitting On Wednesday
The Chicago White Sox are giving Tim Anderson, Yoan Moncada and Luis Robert the day off on Wednesday. Jake Lamb is getting the start at third base, Leury Garcia is starting at shortstop and Adam Engel is in center field. It's a planned day off for Robert, who returned from the 60-day injured list on Monday. Anderson and Moncada are the more surprising omissions from Wednesday's lineup. All three players should be expected to suit up for Thursday's Field of Dreams game against the New York Yankees.

Mon Aug 9 202123:03Tim Anderson Homers For Second Straight Game
Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI and a solo home run in Monday's blowout victory against the Minnesota Twins. Anderson has now homered leading off in the top of the first inning in two consecutive games and is beginning to heat up with six hits over his last 10 at-bats. The White Sox lineup got even stronger with outfielder Luis Robert returning on Monday and that should lead to even more runs scored for the shortstop. Anderson is now hitting a healthy .300 with 12 home runs, 44 RBI and 16 stolen bases. Anderson will look to go yard for his third straight game on Tuesday versus Griffin Jax.

Sun Aug 8 202123:09Tim Anderson Picks Up Three Hits
Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson went 3-for-5 with two runs, a double and solo home run in Sunday's victory versus the Chicago Cubs. Anderson was originally scheduled to get a day of rest, but was later inserted into the lineup when Leury Garcia was scratched from the lineup. Anderson would leadoff the game with a home run off of Zach Davies in the top of the first inning and would finish a triple short of the cycle. Anderson has been in a bit of a cold streak and hopefully Sunday's performance will be what he needs to get going. Anderson is now hitting .296 with 11 home runs, 42 RBI and 16 stolen bases.

Sun Aug 8 202116:04Tim Anderson Will Rest On Sunday Night
Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson will sit out on Sunday night versus the Chicago Cubs. Anderson has been in a slump with 11 hits over his last 52 at-bats, but is still having a good season overall with a .292 batting average to go along with 10 home runs, 21 RBI and 16 stolen bases. With Anderson out of the lineup, second baseman Cesar Hernandez will be leading off and utility man Leury Garcia will play shortstop and bat seventh versus Zach Davies. Davies has struggled this season and Garcia could be a cheap option for those playing DFS. Anderson should be expected to return to the lineup on Monday versus the Minnesota Twins.
