Tue Apr 26 202215:07Luis Robert Still Out Tuesday
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (groin) remains out of the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Kansas City Royals. Robert missed three straight games last weekend due to a minor groin strain, and the White Sox will play it safe with him and hold him out for a fourth straight contest. The good news is that he will be available off the bench, so he could return as soon as Wednesday. With Robert dinged up, the White Sox have used AJ Pollock, Adam Engel and Adam Haseley in center field. Engel will draw another start in center and hit eighth on Tuesday against Royals left-hander Daniel Lynch. He's hitting .208 (5-for-24) with no homers, no RBI and two steals in his first 12 games and will be an uninspiring low-cost DFS dart throw. UPDATE: General manager Rick Hahn expects Robert to play on Wednesday.

Sat Apr 23 202213:19Luis Robert Unlikely To Play This Weekend
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (groin) suffered a groin injury during this past Thursday's game while running out a ground ball. He wound up sitting out Friday's game and he isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game either. White Sox manager Tony La Russa gave an update on Robert's status on Friday. He said that the MRI results showed what the team was hoping for, suggesting a stint on the injured list may not be needed. La Russa said that Robert would not play this weekend and made it sound as if there's a chance he could be back on Tuesday, after the team is off on Monday.

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (groin) is being held out of action for Friday's game against the Minnesota Twins. AJ Pollock (hamstring), who was activated off the injured list ahead of the game, will be getting the start in center field. It's no surprise to see Robert out of the lineup for Friday's contest. The 24-year-old sustained what has been called a minor groin strain during Thursday's game and there is speculation that he may require a stint on the injured list. For now, however, he remains day-to-day.

Thu Apr 21 202209:41Luis Robert Hitless Over His Last Five Games
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert has been slumping at the plate over the last week. Across his last five games, he's gone 0-for-20 with no walks, four strikeouts and a stolen base. The 24-year-old looked good out of the gate this year, starting the year off with a five-game hitting streak that included two home runs and a double. Most of his underlying stats look strong in the early going. His average exit velocity (91.3 mph) is right where it was last year (91.2 mph). Same deal with his hard-hit rate, which is at 45.7%, slightly up from 45.1% last year. Despite his actual .350 slugging percentage on the year, he has a far superior .700 xSLG, which ranks in the 96th percentile. Expect to see the White Sox star pop out of this mini slump soon.

Sun Apr 10 202218:44Luis Robert Scores A Pair Of Runs And Steals A Base
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert went 1-for-5 with two runs scored and a stolen base in a 10-1 over the Detroit Tigers on Sunday. Robert singled, swiped a bag, and scored a run in his first plate appearance of the day. He later reached base via a force out and came around to score off a Jose Abreu double. The 24-year-old dynamo is off to a great start in the early going, slashing .385/.385/.462 with three runs scored, an RBI, and two stolen bases. He swiped just six bags over 68 games last season so it's nice to see him rack up two thefts so early in 2022. The sky is the limit for Robert as long as he can remain healthy.

Sat Apr 2 202211:30Luis Robert Having A Strong Spring
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert went 0-for-3 in a 12-4 loss to the Oakland A's in Cactus League action on Friday. Despite Robert's slow performance at the plate on Friday, the young star is putting the finishing touches on an excellent spring. In 28 at-bats, Robert is hitting .286 with three homers, six runs, 10 RBI, and a steal. The 24-year-old struggled with injuries in 2021 but he was still extremely productive when he was on the field, hitting .338 with 13 homers and 43 RBI in just 68 games. Fantasy managers should be drafting Robert as a top-10 fantasy outfielder heading into the 2022 season.

Sun Sep 19 202112:54Luis Robert, Eloy Jimenez Both Resting Sunday
Chicago White Sox outfielders Luis Robert and Eloy Jimenez are both not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers. The White Sox will instead send Gavin Sheets, Leury Garcia, and Romy Gonzalez onto the outfield grass. Robert has been smashing the ball, slashing .467/.500/.733 over his last seven games, but Jimenez has not had as much success with a .172/.200/.241 line in the same span. Fantasy managers can expect each to return for Chicago's next game, which comes Monday against the division-rival Detroit Tigers, though the White Sox may continue to rest starters frequently with a playoff spot safely in the cards.
