Sun Jun 27 201009:16Teahen (finger) out through All-Star break
Mark Teahen (finger) will likely be sidelined through the All-Star break.
Teahen is unable to resume playing until the pins are removed from his fractured right middle finger and there's no precise indication of when that might happen. Though his finger will get X-rayed on Monday, Teahen fears that he's not quite there yet. "Every time I go, they say, 'It's looking good,' " Teahen said. "I ask, 'So does that mean (the pins) come out earlier?' and they say, 'Not at this point.'" Dayan Viciedo and Omar Vizquel will continue to fill in at third base until he's ready.

Tue Jun 15 201011:39Teahen to begin baseball workouts this week
Mark Teahen (finger) is hoping to begin baseball-related workouts this week.
Teahen underwent surgery on his fractured right middle finger at the start of June and was given a four-to-six week recovery timetable. If he can avoid setbacks, the third baseman should be back with the White Sox around the first week of July. Omar Vizquel and Jayson Nix are manning third in his absence.

Thu Jun 3 201015:22Teahen out 4-6 weeks after finger surgery
Mark Teahen will miss 4-6 weeks after undergoing surgery on his right middle finger on Thursday.
Teahen fractured the tip of his finger during the fourth inning of Sunday's game against the Rays. A pin was inserted in his finger to help the healing process, but it will still be a lengthy absence. Omar Vizquel and Jayson Nix will split time at third base for now, but don't be surprised to see the White Sox in the market for a third baseman in the coming weeks.

Tue Jun 1 201014:21Teahen placed on DL with fractured finger
White Sox placed 3B Mark Teahen on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 30, with a fractured right middle finger.
Teahen injured the finger in the fourth inning of Sunday's game and X-rays on Tuesday morning must have revealed a break. If he needs surgery, he could be out for a couple of months. Brent Lillibridge has been recalled from Triple-A Charlotte and will see a good amount of time at third base.
Sun May 30 201016:37Teahen to have X-rays on middle finger
Mark Teahen will have X-rays Monday on his injured right middle finger.
Teahen was lifted from Sunday's game in the fourth inning due to the injury. If the X-rays show a fracture, he's probably DL-bound.
