Sun Jul 24 202214:30Julio Rodriguez's MRI Shows No Structural Damage
Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) underwent an MRI on his sore left wrist on Saturday. The results of the MRI showed some bruising, but no structural damage. Mariners manager Scott Servais stated that Rodriguez remains day-to-day at this point, but also added that a stint on the injured list could be possible. Rodriguez hasn't appeared in a game since the All-Star game, so the team would be able to backdate a stint on the 10-day injured list to July 22. Stay tuned for further updates on the 21-year-old phenom. If he can avoid the injured list, his next chance to play will be on Monday against the Texas Rangers.

Sat Jul 23 202213:23Julio Rodriguez Remains Out On Saturday
Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Houston Astros. J-Rod was a late scratch on Friday with left-wrist soreness, an injury that allegedly occurred on a stolen base attempt in the final game of the first half of the season, and will now miss his second straight contest. The Mariners are going to be very cautious with their young All-Star so fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day and monitor his status prior to Sunday's series finale between Seattle and Houston.

Sat Jul 23 202208:14Julio Rodriguez Day-To-Day With Wrist Soreness
Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) has been labeled as day-to-day by the team as he is dealing with left wrist soreness. The rookie sensation reportedly jammed his wrist while attempting a steal last Sunday and he's been experiencing some on-and-off soreness ever since. He was initially included in the starting lineup for Friday night's game, but he didn't feel great after going through batting practice and was scratched shortly before the game began. It sounds like the team was mostly just being cautious with him on Friday. There's a decent chance we'll see the 21-year-old back in action before the end of the weekend. Over 91 games this year, he has slashed .275/.337/.477 with 16 home runs, 21 stolen bases, 52 RBI and 53 runs.

Fri Jul 22 202223:25Julio Rodriguez Scratched On Friday
Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) was a late scratch from Friday's game against the Houston Astros. The 21-year-old has been pulled out of the lineup due to left wrist soreness. Possibly, Rodriguez suffered this injury from participating in the Home Run Derby on Monday. Regardless, it sounds like this is a minor issue for Rodriguez. It shouldn't be something that forces the young outfielder to the injured list. Fantasy managers should consider Rodriguez as day-to-day. In the meantime, Dylan Moore will cover center field for the Mariners on Friday.

Sat Jul 16 202200:46Julio Rodriguez Drives In Five Against Rangers
Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez drove in a whopping five RBI in Friday's game against the Texas Rangers, going 2-for-5 with a grand slam. He now has 16 home runs this year and a modest four-game hit streak to his name. Rodriguez struggled to start the season, but ever since the calendar turned to May he has been unstoppable. Rodriguez is slashing .301/.355/.602 over his last 30 games with eight homers, 24 runs scored, and 22 RBI in that span. He'd be a fantasy standout even if not for his 21 stolen bases this year, a number that vaults him towards the very top of the rankings.

Wed Jun 22 202212:09Julio Rodriguez Homers In Three-Hit Game
Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez led the way at the plate Tuesday, going 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored. Rodriguez remains red hot, with three multi-hit games in his last five. He now has nine homers and 18 steals on the season, placing him among the very best power-speed fantasy options in the majors. Tue Jun 7 202200:58Julio Rodriguez Hits Two-Run Home Run Monday
Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez continued to build on a strong rookie campaign in Monday's 7-4 win over the Astros. Rodriguez provided some late insurance, going 2-for-5 with a single, a ninth-inning two-run home run, and two strikeouts. The 21-year-old has converted on the hype surrounding him overall to this point, slashing .277/.332/.432 with seven HR, 26 RBI, and 17 stolen bases. He is an exciting young player and should be in fantasy managers' lineups at all times, especially if he can continue to add some power to his profile in addition to the speed.

Mon Apr 25 202223:07Julio Rodriguez Heating Up At The Plate
Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez has hit safely in six of seven games, raising his batting average 71 points during that stretch. The phenom is also a perfect 6-for-6 on the basepaths to start his young career. However, the 21-year-old has posted a .196/.274/.524 line while striking out an American League-leading 25 times across 15 games. The number-two overall prospect, according to Baseball America, has also chipped in with three doubles, seven runs, and five RBI through 56 at-bats. The improvement at the dish should give fantasy managers some relief as the five-tool rookie is adjusting to life at the Major league level. Now represents the best time to buy low in redraft leagues for J-Rod before he breaks out.

He has a hit, a walk, a run scored, and a stolen base in his first 15 plate appearances in the Majors. In his place, it'll be Jarred Kelenic getting the start in center field. He is the No. 3 overall prospect in baseball, per MLB Pipeline, and he hit an impressive .412/.487/.794 with a 1.281 OPS, three home runs, eight RBI, 10 runs scored and three stolen bases in 39 plate appearances in spring training. Mon Apr 4 202211:16Julio Rodriguez Makes Mariners Opening Day Roster
Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez, MLB's No. 3 prospect, has made the team's Opening Day roster. Rodriguez had another excellent day at the plate on Sunday by going 3-for-4 with a double, solo home run and two runs scored in the Cactus League game against the Kansas City Royals. The 21-year-old has three multi-hit games this spring and is batting .419 (13-for-31), which has been easily good enough for Seattle to give Rodriguez a roster spot on Opening Day. The right-handed hitter batted .347/.441/.560 with a 1.001 OPS, 13 home runs, 47 RBI, 64 runs and 21 stolen bases in 74 games with High-A Everett and Double-A Arkansas last year. Rodriguez has five-category upside and is already a top-100 fantasy outfielder before playing his first big-league game.

Thu Nov 18 202117:52Mariners Add Julio Rodriguez And Others To 40-Man Roster
The Seattle Mariners have made several roster moves Thursday, adding minor league outfielders Julio Rodriguez and Alberto Rodriguez and left-handed pitcher Ray Kerr to their 40-man roster. They now have filled 39 spots. Julio Rodriguez is by far the biggest name of the three, and the move is intended to protect him and both other players from the upcoming Rule 5 draft. Rodriguez could make an impact at the big-league level as soon as 2022, and general manager Jerry Dipoto has stated that there is "no scenario" in which Rodriguez (or several other top prospects) are moved this offseason. The 20-year-old slashed .347/.441/.560 with 13 homers and 21 steals in 74 games across two levels in 2021. Dynasty managers should already have him rostered.
