The Giants are expected to call up catcher Chris Stewart from Triple-A Fresno.

He will replace the injured Buster Posey on the active roster. Stewart has a .188/.235/.229 batting line over 54 major league plate appearances. The 29-year-old backstop appeared in two games with the Padres down the stretch last season. It's safe to say the Giants will be on the market for a catcher.
