It's been a miserable month of July for the righty --- in two starts he's allowed more runs (10) than innings pitched (8.2) and has fanned just five batters. De La Rosa has now given up 21 homers in just 110.3 innings on the season and is sporting 99:29 K:BB ratio. He will look to improve upon his 5.06 ERA when he takes on the Marlins after the All-Star break.

The righty has struggled with allowing home runs all season and this outing was no different, as five of the six Runs he allowed came via the long ball. De La Rosa had allowed two runs or fewer in his four previous starts and will look to get back on track against the Mets next Sunday.

De La Rosa's roller coaster season continues, as he has now allowed just one earned run in his last 15 innings, while posting a 12:5 K:BB ratio. His last two starts are certainly encouraging and his 4.96 ERA could dip further, if he can give up fewer home runs. His 1.42 HR/9 are a career-high.

De La Rosa was excellent Sunday against the Giants, striking out six and walking just two across eight shutout innings en route to his fifth win of the season.

The stellar performance was much-needed for the right-hander, as he had been shelled for 20 runs in his previous 15 innings pitched. De La Rosa's ERA still sits at an ugly 5.27 for the season, but he will try to build on this positive momentum in Friday's start against the Padres.

It was a strange stat line for De La Rosa, who didn't allow a lot of baserunners, but didn't do a good job preventing them from scoring either. Still, he's been a revelation this season, with 55 strikeouts in 59 innings pitched. If you're in need of whiffs, he can be an asset to your fantasy squad. Rubby will next go against the Brewers in Milwaukee on Friday.

De la Rosa twirled a gem in a no-decision Monday, allowing just two runs in nine innings as the Diamondbacks topped the Marlins in 13 innings.

De la Rosa only struck out five in the start, but he also didn't walk a batter and managed to keep his pitch count below 100 despite pitching nine innings. The righty has been hot his last three starts, allowing just six runs in 23 innings. He'll try to keep up the good work against the Cubs this weekend.

De La Rosa was outstanding Saturday in his start against the Pirates, tossing seven innings of one-run ball and allowing just four hits with eight strikeouts. He didn't factor in the decision as the D-Backs fell 2-1 in the contest.

This was De La Rosa's first start of the year without giving up a walk or home run. He has been a good source of strikeouts so far (25 strikeouts in 25 innings) and he has his ratios down to a 4.68 ERA and 1.28 WHIP. It's a promising start to the season for the 26-year-old.

De La Rosa was on the losing end of a 4-1 result Saturday against the Giants. He went 6.2 innings allowing three earned runs on nine hits, while giving up two walks and striking out seven. He gave a two-run home run in the contest.

De La Rosa has struggled a bit in the early going, posting a 6.00 ERA and 1.56 WHIP over 18 innings in this first three starts. While he has 17 strikeouts and has yielded only five walks, he has given up four homers, which will be a problem in his home ballpark over the course of the season. The Diamondbacks have good reason to see what they have in De La Rosa, since he was part of the return for Wade Miley in the off-season, so there shouldn't be any immediate danger of him losing his rotation spot.

De La Rosa turned in a quality start Monday against the Padres to move to 2-0 on the season. He tossed six innings of three-run ball with five strikeouts and gave up six hits and a walk. He surrendered a home run in the outing as well.

De La Rosa has receive plenty of run support in both of his starts, which explains how he has two wins despite yielding nine earned runs in 11.3 innings so far. His 10:3 strikeout to walk ratio is acceptable, but of some concern he has yielded three home runs already in the early stages of the season, which will only lead to trouble if he can't get it under control.

De La Rosa picked up the win Tuesday against the Giants, but allowed six earned runs on two home runs in 5.1 innings while striking out five.

This was only De La Rosa's 29th start of his career. In 18 starts for the Red Sox last season, he finished 4-8 with a WHIP of 1.49 and ERA of 4.43.

De La Rosa threw six innings of one-run ball, allowing four hits and a walk while striking out four Thursday against the White Sox.

In his final spring start, De La Rosa saw most of the White Sox probably starting lineup and fared well. He will open the year in the Diamondbacks rotation probably starting their third game of the season. His control and ability to limit walks will be key to how long he remains in the rotation. Thursday's outing was a good sign in that respect.

De La Rosa will open the season in the Diamondbacks' starting rotation, Jack Magruder of FOX Sports Arizona reports.

Manager Chip Hale recently suggested De La Rosa was in good position to secure a starting job, but he did away with any doubt Tuesday, confirming that the right-hander will be in the rotation to begin the year. De La Rosa has had issues with control so far this spring, issuing 10 free passes in 12 innings to this point, but he should see his stock rise at least a bit in NL-only leagues with the job security.
