Thu Aug 12 202113:24J.T. Realmuto Passes Concussion Tests, Available On Thursday
Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto (head) passed his concussion tests and will not be placed on the injured list, according to Matt Gelb of The Athletic. Realmuto was removed from Wednesday's game after taking a foul tip off the mask. The All-Star catcher was held out of the lineup for Thursday's day game, however, he is available if needed and should be back in the lineup Friday against the Reds. Realmuto has been one of the best catchers in baseball with a .268 batting average, a .804 OPS, 13 homers, seven steals, and 52 RBI, which ranks second among all backstops. Realmuto and his fantasy managers dodged a bullet here and he can be left in fantasy lineups versus Cincinnati this weekend.

Thu Aug 12 202112:02J.T. Realmuto Out Of Thursday's Lineup
Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto (head) is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Realmuto is undergoing testing for a concussion after being hit in the head with two foul balls during Wednesday's game. Andrew Knapp will perform the catching duties in his place. Realmuto has continued to be one of baseball's best catchers this season, hitting .268 with a .452 slugging, 13 HRs, 52 RBI, 46 runs, and seven stolen bases in 93 games. Hopefully, his absence from the lineup is short-lived, and he can get back out on the field and keep producing from the catcher position.

Wed Aug 11 202119:56J.T. Realmuto Exits Early On Wednesday Night
Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto (head) exited Wednesday's game after being hit in the face mask by a foul tip, according to Matt Gelb of The Athletic. Realmuto was hit in the face mask in the top of the first inning, and Andrew Knapp entered the game in the bottom half of the inning as a pinch hitter. It seems that Realmuto is likely being examined for the possibility of a concussion, but there's no word yet on his condition. Sun Aug 8 202116:40J.T. Realmuto Cracks 12th Homer In Win Over Mets
Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in a win over the Mets on Sunday. The homer was his 12th of the season as Realmuto continues to be a rock-solid option at the catcher position. The 30-year-old backstop ranks second among catchers with 52 RBI, while slashing a healthy .271/.355/.458 in 91 games. Realmuto has tough matchups with the Dodgers this week, but fantasy managers know better than to remove him from starting lineups.

Sun Aug 1 202117:32J.T. Realmuto Goes Bananas Versus Pirates Sunday
Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto had a huge game on Sunday afternoon to lead a 15-run outburst versus the hapless Pirates. Realmuto went 5-for-6 with four RBI, three runs scored, and a stolen base in his first 5-hit game as a Phillie. The 30-year-old backstop is having another strong season, slashing .268/.355/.446 with 11 homers, 46 RBI, 42 runs, and six stolen bases to rank among the top catchers in fantasy. He's got great matchups to start the week as the Phillies play a four-game set versus the Nationals after Washington traded away their top pitching assets.

Thu Jul 29 202117:29J.T. Realmuto Goes Yard In Loss To Nationals
Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Nationals on Thursday. Realmuto's blast was the only run Philadelphia could muster off of starter Max Scherzer in his last game for Washington. Realmuto has been a disappointment this season relative to his lofty expectations, but the Philly backstop has been solid all-around with a .260 batting average, 11 homers, 40 RBI, 38 runs, and six stolen bases. He's got a career-high 46% hard-hit rate and has above-average plate discipline with a 0.45 BB/K, so he should be expected to continue this level of production. He's got good matchups this weekend as the Phillies will be in Pittsburgh for a three-game set.
