Manship has already made a handful of trips back and forth between Rochester and Minneapolis this season and will probably make a few more before the year is through. He's a fine sixth (or emergency) starter. | ||||||

He'll give the Twins another arm for this week's series against the Red Sox. Manship gave up two runs over six innings in a start against the Indians on May 1 -- his only appearance in the majors this season. The 25-year-old right-hander owns a 3.93 ERA over seven starts at the Triple-A level this season. | ||||||

Manship will make his first major league start of 2010 Saturday while Nick Blackburn is away from the team dealing with a family matter. Blackburn should rejoin the team before his next start, so Manship won't be up long enough to add, and he's not worth streaming at this point, as he has been extremely hittable in Triple-A so far this season. He has posted a 1.35 WHIP in 20 2/3 innings despite only walking three. | ||||||
