"I know the game planning will be very similar," manager Torey Lovullo said. "C.I. (Iannetta) has a done a great job with Patrick getting him through moments, but it's really Patrick making the pitches, executing." Corbin lasted six innings, surrendering two runs in his second successive win.

C Chris Iannetta's costly two-base, two-run throwing error quickly transformed a 4-2 Braves lead into a 6-2 lead in the seventh inning of Atlanta's 8-3 victory Tuesday night. 2B Brandon Drury also had a throwing error that led to a run in the fourth. Going into the game, the Diamondbacks had only three errors in 16 games since July 4. "Breakdown in a couple of areas hurt us," manager Torey Lovullo said. "Both errors hurt us, both errors led to runs. Unfortunately that (Iannetta error) was a big moment, a 4-2 game turned into a 6-2 game."

He didn't sit in back-to-back games at all over the first three months of the season but has been held out in consecutive games four times since July 16.

C Chris Iannetta was 0-for-2 with one walk Sunday as DH in the 2-0 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. He is still batting .406 (28-for-69) in 22 career games against the Blue Jays. He has nine doubles, three home runs and 14 RBI against Toronto in his career.
