C Chris Iannetta turned in the second multi-homer game of his career Wednesday, when he hit a pair of homers in the 5-0 win over Cleveland. The only other time Iannetta hit two home runs in one game was in May 2011. He added a run-scoring double in the seventh for a four-RBI night.

C Chris Iannetta didn't want to leave Arlington. He collected Seattle's first hit Sunday when he led off the second inning with a single to left and then walked in his second at-bat. That hit raised his on-base percentage at Globe Life Park to .846 as it was the 11th time he reached in 13 at-bats in Arlington.

C Chris Iannetta was not in the lineup on Saturday, which was his first non-start since May 14. The Mariners have had two off days since then.

C Chris Iannetta took a backswing to the left wrist in Sunday's ninth inning but was able to stay in the game. The bat of the Angels' Gregorio Petit caught Iannetta flush on the wrist, just below his glove, on a third strike pitch from reliever Mike Montgomery. Iannetta crumpled to the dirt in obvious pain and received attention from trainers but was able to stay in the game.

C Chris Iannetta completed a four-hour game, and a Mariners sweep, with his leadoff homer in the bottom of the 11th inning. He hit his third home run of the season to deep center field before getting swarmed at home plate and receiving the bath from Cishek."Ideally, you don't want to go to the center part of this park," Iannetta said of his homer, "but I'll take it."Iannetta hit a 3-2 pitch from Tampa Bay reliever Steve Geltz for the Mariners' third consecutive win.

C Chris Iannetta had his best day in his first two weeks with the Mariners on Friday when he had three hits and was on base four times. He had two hits in 18 at-bats with seven strikeouts during Seattle's six-game homestand but had two singles sandwiched around a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Those hits gave Iannetta his first game with at least three RBIs since July 21 and his first game with at least three hits since May 18 and they all came against right-handed pitchers, whom he had been 0-for-9 against.

C Chris Iannetta, who got off to a horrible start last year with the Angels, is making up for lost time. Iannetta started 2015 in a 1-for-21 slump and didn't collect his first RBI until the 16th game of the season. He has three hits and two walks in his first five at-bats with Seattle, and he put the Mariners up 1-0 with a second-inning single Tuesday. He also was hit by the pitch in the eighth inning, changing the complexion of the game. "I'm really happy to see him get off to a good start," Seattle manager Scott Servais said. "He was concerned in spring training. He struggled mightily last year out of the gate and really has been a slow starter throughout his career."

C Chris Iannetta signed a one-year, $4.25 million deal with the Mariners on Nov. 23.Although he is coming off a poor offensive season, Iannetta could take over as the starter in Seattle. Iannetta, 32, hit .188/.293/.335 with 10 homers and 34 RBIs in 92 games for the Angels this year.

Iannetta is out of the lineup on Wednesday.

While Iannetta provides good pop for a catcher, with 10 home runs and 33 RBI, his .187 batting average makes it tough for him to play on a consistent basis. Over the past week, he's 4-for-13 with four runs scored, two home runs and three RBI. In spite of that, he's replaced by Carlos Perez in the starting lineup.

Iannetta went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and a pair of runs against the Twins on Thursday.

The veteran catcher has nine homers in 86 games for the Angels this year, which is well and good, but not in conjunction with that hideous .185 batting average. His playing time has been inconsistent, with Carlos Perez dominating the starts, so Iannetta has precious little fantasy value even if his resurgence continues.

Iannetta is back in the lineup on Wednesday, batting eighth and playing catcher, according to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register.

Iannetta had a dreadful August, hitting for a .130/.184/.217 slash line in 46 at-bats with no home runs and four RBI. After a night off on Tuesday, he's back in the lineup behind the dish on Wednesday.

Iannetta is out of Friday's lineup against the Royals.

Iannetta has struggled mightily at the dish recently, and is out of the lineup for the third straight game Friday. Carlos Perez will start again in his place, batting seventh for the Angels.

Ianneta is out of Saturday's lineup against the Orioles, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Neither Iannetta nor Carlos Perez has been impressive at the plate this season, and there's continues to be a fair amount of split time between the two backstops. Following three straight starts by Ianetta, Perez will get a turn Saturday, batting ninth for the Angels.

Iannetta went 1-for-4 with a two-run double and a run scored in an 8-4 win over the Orioles on Friday.

Iannetta is still batting below .200, as this was only his third hit since July 22. He came into the league as a huge prospect for the Rockies, but he's losing his credibility with his low average. The only thing that keeps him relevant is his power against left-handers.

Iannetta is out of the lineup Monday against the Indians.

The Angels continue to employ a timeshare at catcher, but Iannetta has generally received the larger split of the duties, starting three of the previous four games behind the plate. Carlos Perez will get the starting nod Monday, but look for Iannetta to remain the top option on the depth chart by virtue of his .311 on-base percentage.

Iannetta is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Dodgers, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.

Sitting after two straight starts is fairly standard for Iannetta, who has started three or more games in a row just once since the beginning of May. Carlos Perez will receive another start behind the plate.

Iannetta went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk in a loss to the Astros on Tuesday.

Iannetta is quietly showing tremendous power in July, as he has hit four long balls over his past 10 games, leading to a .609 slugging percentage this month. While he is technically the starting catcher, Iannetta is on pace to play just 106 games this season. This limits his value to to the deepest of leagues, but he is likely out there for owners in search of cheap power.

Iannetta is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rangers, Eric Kay of the Angels' official site reports.

Iannetta will take a seat for a regular day of rest, giving way to Carlos Perez behind the plate.

Iannetta went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in a win over the Twins on Wednesday.

Iannetta has struggled through most of the season, but seems to have found his stroke in July, as he now has two homers and five RBI in his last two games, and is slugging .917 in 36 at-bats this month.

Iannetta is not in the lineup for Saturday's game in Seattle, Tim Mead of the Angels' official site reports.

Iannetta's playing time has fluctuated this season, but he's been getting more at-bats than Carlos Perez the past couple weeks, after the two catchers essentially alternated games for a while. Iannetta is still having a poor season at the plate, but Perez has been even worse since early June.
