Chicago Cubs third baseman Patrick Wisdom is absent from the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Tyler Mahle and the Cincinnati Reds. Matt Duffy is manning third base in the game and hitting cleanup. Wisdom has really struggled at the plate so far in August. Over 15 games this month, he's slashing .200/.241/.345 with two home runs, eight RBI and five runs. He's struck out 26 times this month while walking just three times. While Wisdom has some clear power upside (18 homers over 73 games on the year), he provides little else of value. He can be left on waivers in just about all fantasy leagues.
