Thu May 16 2013 | 22:30 | Travis Snider hits first homer in victory |
Travis Snider went 3-for-5 and finally hit his first homer of the season Thursday in the Pirates' 7-1 defeat of the Brewers. |
He also swiped his first base. Snider had zeroes in both categories through 35 games and 91 at-bats going into the night. He's actually hitting .292, but that's probably not going to continue, not with his strikeout rate. It's a must that he hit more homers if he's going to establish himself as a starter in the Pittsburgh outfield. |
