Wed Jul 17 201318:17Report: Augustin, Raptors reach 1-year deal
The Raptors and D.J. Augustin agreed to a one-year deal worth $1.26 million, league sources tell Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
Augustin spent last season with the Pacers but hit career lows in almost every relevant category. In Toronto, he'll be the primary backup to Kyle Lowry and hopefully give Toronto enough to be trusted with 10 to 15 minutes a night. Augustin won't have any impact on your fantasy league unless Lowry can't stay healthy, which isn't that farfetched.

NBA.com does not expect the impending free agent D.J. Augustin to re-sign with the Pacers.

Thu May 16 201322:54D.J. Augustin starts and has a so-so night
D.J. Augustin started at point guard on Thursday in a loss to the Knicks and had 12 points, two boards, two steals, three 3-pointers and two turnovers in 39 minutes.
He didn't do too much ball handling and perhaps he should have. Augustin didn't have a single assist while his teammates had just 12 assists to go with their 19 turnovers. George Hill missed the game with a concussion and given the stringent concussion protocol in the NBA, there's a chance he could miss Saturday's game in Indiana.

Thu May 16 201319:05D.J. Augustin will start in place of Hill
D.J. Augustin will start at point guard for the injured George Hill (concussion) in Thursday's Game 5.
This is a huge opportunity for Augustin. His contract ends after this season and he could make a nice chunk of change with a big game at Madison Square Garden. Augustin is having a solid postseason to this point, shooting 38 percent from downtown for 1.3 triples in just 16.2 minutes per game. If the Knicks don't cover him on the wing on kick-out 3-pointers, they could be heading home for good. Lance Stephenson, a point guard at Cincinnati, should get more ball-handling opportunities.

Sun May 5 201319:04D.J. Augustin lights up Knicks off the bench
D.J. Augustin provided a spark off the bench in Sunday's 102-95 win at Madison Square Garden with 16 points, one assist and four 3-pointers on 5-of-6 shooting in 13 minutes.
He was left wide open by NY and made them pay, making his first five field goal attempts. Augustin shoots a respectable 37.0 percent from downtown in his career, so this is something the Knicks will need to be aware of for the rest of the series. Paul George had a quiet game on offense, making 5-of-14 from the field for 19 points with five boards, four assists and two 3-pointers, but he shut down J.R. Smith and Carmelo Anthony on the defensive side. Indiana will look to take a commanding lead in Game 2 on Tuesday.

Sun Apr 14 201318:34D.J. Augustin doesn't score in 12 minutes
D.J. Augustin came off the bench and didn't score in 12 minutes vs. the Knicks on Sunday.
It's not often that someone puts up a goose egg and gains fantasy value in the same day, but that's likely to happen now that the Pacers have clinched the three seed. George Hill is very likely to sit out the next two games and Augustin should play over 30 minutes per game.

Mon Mar 25 201323:29Augustin goes quiet in start for George Hill
D.J. Augustin started for George Hill (groin) and scored six points on 1-of-6 shooting with two rebounds, five assists, six turnovers and two steals in the Pacers' 100-94 win over the Hawks on Monday.
This was not a good look for Augustin and Hill could play Wednesday, so there's not a lot to grab onto here. If Hill gets ruled out for Wednesday and/or beyond, then Augustin would be worth a look for spot-action, but that's about it.

Sun Mar 10 201320:49D.J. Augustin stays hot with 14 points Sun.
D.J. Augustin came up big in the fourth quarter with three 3-pointers, finishing with 14 points, one board, two assists, four 3-pointers and two turnovers in 24 minutes.
The Heat left him open on the wing and D.J. shot 4-of-8 from downtown. Coincidentally, Augustin hit four treys and scored 14 points on Friday and his fourth quarter production could be a thorn in the side of George Hill. To be clear, Hill is still worth owning in all leagues and Augustin is only on the radar in deeper leagues.

Thu Feb 21 201310:07Report: Pacers shopping PG D.J. Augustin
The Pacers are shopping D.J. Augustin, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Beat writer Mike Wells added that Tyler Hansbrough and Gerald Green are available, but we knew that already. Augustin has had an up and down season with the Pacers in a backup role, and as someone on a one-year deal, it wouldn't be surprising to see him moved. If he is, we'd expect it to be in a minor deal.

Sat Feb 2 201304:37D.J. Augustin could be in line for more time
D.J. Augustin played just 13 minutes in Friday's win over Miami and had four points, one rebound and one 3-pointer.
He came off the bench to finish the game as George Hill suffered a left shoulder contusion. The injury is to Hill's non-shooting shoulder and it doesn't appear that there is anything structurally wrong, so D.J. is only worth a look in very deep leagues.

Sat Jan 12 201321:45D.J. Augustin ties season-high w/ 18 points
D.J. Augustin tied his season-high with 18 bench points on Saturday, including 4-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc.
Augustin added four assists and one steal in 28 minutes. It's nice to see him playing with confidence but he only got this much burn because of Paul George's absence with the flu, which resulted in a number of small lineups.

Tue Jan 8 201322:01D.J. Augustin plays 25 minutes in win
D.J. Augustin had four points and eight assists off the Pacers bench in 25 minutes on Tuesday.
Starter George Hill left due to dehydration, opening up a window for DJA to rack up more minutes. Hill is coming off a thigh/groin injury, but simply wasn't feeling well tonight, meaning Augustin should continue to be an afterthought as long as Hill can play.

Sat Jan 5 201321:45D.J. Augustin returns to Pacers bench
D.J. Augustin returned to the Pacers bench on Saturday, where he scored eight points with two assists and two steals in 21 minutes.
The temporary starting job may have given Augustin some lasting momentum, or so we hope, but George Hill's return means that his brief run as a fantasy option in 12-team leagues has ended.

Sat Jan 5 201304:07Augustin struggles in blowout loss
D.J. Augustin started for injured George Hill (thigh) in Friday's blowout loss to the Celtics, scoring six points on 2-of-4 shooting (including a three) with one rebound and four assists in 30 minutes.
The Pacers need all of their guys playing well to be passable on offense, so with Hill out, Paul George (nine points, 4-of-18 FGs, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals) struggling, David West (10 points, 4-of-18 FGs, 10 rebounds, two steals, one block) also struggling, and Roy Hibbert (seven points, 3-of-6 FGs, 10 boards, one block, 24 minutes) playing the invisible game -- it's not surprising that it all fell apart tonight.

Wed Jan 2 201322:49D.J. Augustin scores 18 in another start
D.J. Augustin started in place of injured George Hill again on Wednesday and had 18 points, four rebounds, six assists, a steal and a 3-pointer on 4-of-9 shooting.
DJA is playing well while filling in for Hill and has likely earned more minutes going forward, but once Hill, who is day-to-day with a thigh/groin injury, is back, Augustin's going to struggle to put up big enough numbers to be useful in fantasy leagues.

Mon Dec 31 201218:36D.J. Augustin scores 17 in a start Monday
D.J. Augustin got a start on Monday and had 17 points, two rebounds, six assists, one steal and four 3-pointers to help the Pacers beat the Grizzlies on Monday.
He had season highs in points, assists and 3-pointers in his 34 minutes of action. George Hill isn't expected to miss much time, so there isn't much incentive to add Augustin for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.

Mon Dec 24 201212:19D.J. Augustin reassumes backup PG duties
D.J. Augustin has reassumed backup point guard duties from Ben Hansbrough.
Frank Vogel hinted that the demotion would be short-term, and that's exactly what it was. As long as George Hill is healthy, neither backup point guard has fantasy relevance.

Sun Dec 16 201211:20D.J. Augustin likely to retake backup PG job
Frank Vogel suggested recently that D.J. Augustin will return to the backup PG job, which was recently taken over by Ben Hansbrough.
Psycho B is shooting 26.6 percent since the switch, while struggling to spark the second unit and play effective defense, and Vogel feels Augustin has found a groove in recent practices. "He hasn't missed a shot since he came out of the lineup," Vogel said. "He's made every single 3-point shot and is playing with great energy on the defensive end. When he gets the opportunity, I think he'll do really well."

D.J. Augustin has reassumed backup PG duties.
Augustin was benhed against the Knicks for being "ineffective," but Frank Vogel said that he has "a lot of confidence" in Augustin. He's not on the fantasy radar at this time.

Tue Nov 6 201203:37Augustin plays just 13 minutes on Monday
D.J. Augustin played just 13 minutes on Monday, scoring seven points on 2-of-6 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds and two assists.
Augustin has shown no signs of creating a timeshare with George Hill, and can be safely dropped in 12-14 team formats.
