Magic assigned C Daniel Orton to the New Mexico Thunderbirds of the NBADL.
Orton had knee surgery in September and just resumed practicing a couple weeks ago. He has not appeared in a game this year. The Kentucky product has upside thanks to his size, but he's a long way from truly contributing.
