Wed May 17 202311:22Anthony Davis Pours In 40 Points During Game 1 Loss
Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis had a night as he tied for the most minutes played on the team. The big man out of Kentucky posted 40 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks while shooting 14-for-23 from the floor and a perfect 11-for-11 from the charity stripe. Davis was virtually unstoppable on the offensive end and he contribute in big ways on the defensive side of the ball as well. The unfortunate part was that it wasn't enough to steal a road win. If the supporting cast can step up while Davis dominates like this, the Lakers could see a Finals trip in their future.

Mon May 15 202322:28Anthony Davis Probable For Game 1
Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis (foot) is probable for Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals versus Denver. At this point, a mention on the injury report isn't necessary, especially since Davis has dealt with the injury since the regular season. The 30-year-old has had a remarkable postseason, averaging 21.2 points, 14.1 boards, 3.3 blocks, and 1.4 steals. The Lakers will need all that and then some to get past Denver and into the NBA Finals. But as far as Davis' DFS stock for Tuesday night, it's still high, even with a matchup against Nikola Jokic on tap.

He's been on the injury report forever, but Davis hasn't missed a game since March 15 and should be in the lineup Thursday as well. Davis' countless health issues have given him a bad reputation, but he's been available for the team for all but three games since returning from a stress injury to his right foot in late January. AD dominated against the Warriors with a 30-20 game in the series opener and is averaging 22.1 points per game for the postseason with 15.0 rebounds and 4.3 blocks.

The superstar big man has looked hobbled here and there during this series and even had to exit one of their games to get his shoulder looked at. He's currently dealing with a stress injury in his right foot, but the pain doesn't seem bad enough to keep him off of the court. Whilst his scoring might be inconsistent in the series, Davis has been huge on the defensive end all the way through, averaging 5.0 blocks a night. He's the first Laker with 15 blocks in a three-game playoff span since Shaquille O'Neal in 2004.

Fri Apr 21 202320:54Anthony Davis Expected To Play In Game 3
Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis (foot) is probable for Game 3 versus Memphis on Saturday. Davis has been dealing with the foot issue for nearly the entire season, and the shoulder injury he suffered in Game 1 doesn't appear to be an issue. The 30-year-old had a rough offensive showing in the Game 2 loss to the Grizzlies, finishing with 13 points off 4-for-14 shooting from the field. Fortunately, AD totaled 12 blocks in the first two games of this series, so he'll remain an enticing option for DFS managers, even with a high rostering cost.

Sat Apr 15 202321:17Anthony Davis Probable Versus Memphis

Wed Apr 12 202309:37Anthony Davis Feasts On Minnesota
Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis had a field day against Minnesota with Rudy Gobert (suspension) out of the lineup. During their overtime play-in win, Davis registered 24 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and three blocks while shooting 10-for-19 from the floor and 4-for-6 from the line. Without the looming inside presence of Gobert, Davis was able to get to any spot he wanted in the post and midrange. He'll have to take on Jaren Jackson Jr. in the first round, so the 30-year-old will have his work cut out for him going up against one of the top candidates for Defensive Player of the Year.

Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis (foot) is officially active on Tuesday night versus Minnesota. There wasn't really any doubt AD would miss this one, especially with the LA looking to advance. The 30-year-old averaged 38 points, 11 boards, and two blocks in two games against the Timberwolves this season, so he's expected to thrive, even more so with Rudy Gobert (suspension) and Naz Reid (wrist) out.
