Robinson got the start at power forward on Thursday and had nine points, 12 boards, and two blocks in 28 minutes.
Robinson was a surprise addition to the starting lineup for Thursday's game, but put up decent numbers in place of the injured LaMarcus Aldridge. It's likely that Robinson and Dorell Wright will be seeing increased playing time in Aldrige's absence but it's too early to tell who will be the main fantasy beneficiary.
Thu Jan 22 201522:12Thomas Robinson: Late Addition To Starting Lineup
Robinson was a late addition to the starting lineup at power forward Thursday against the Celtics, The Oregonian reports.
Robinson will take the place of Dorell Wright in the starting lineup, meaning he could be in line for added minutes. With Lamarcus Aldridge (thumb) out 6-8 weeks, he could be in line for extra playing time moving forward as well.

Robinson recorded five points (1-2 FG, 3-6 FT), six rebounds, three steals, and one assist in 21 minutes during Monday's win against the Kings.
Robinson was afforded his most run since Dec. 19, and third-most of the season, after LaMarcus Aldridge left the game early in the second quarter due to a left thumb injury. Acting as Aldridge's replacement in the frontcourt rotation, Robinson could soon take on a significant role, if the ailment is deemed severe in nature. On the season, Robinson's per-36 output is intriguing, to say the least: 11.2 points (on 49 percent shooting), 12.3 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game.

Robinson is poised to take on a greater role in the Blazers' frontcourt rotation due to Joel Freeland's strained right shoulder, The Columbian reports.
During Saturday's loss to the Hawks, Freeland suffered the injury, which will force him to the sideline for the next two weeks. Because he's expected to miss at least seven contests and Robin Lopez (hand) will remain a non-participant, Robinson could prosper with an expanded role. Robinson proved as much earlier this season in three starts, when he averaged nine points (on 53 percent shooting), 7.7 rebounds, one block, and one steal in 21 minutes.

Robinson started in place of LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) on Sunday, but was unable to make the most of the opportunity. He finished with five points (2-5 FG, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, and a steal in 13 minutes.
Robinson got the start, but ended up playing very few minutes. He didn't have to deal with foul trouble, instead he wasn't able to make much of an impact when on court. The fifth-overall pick from the 2012 draft has yet to impress and with a thinning frontcourt this is a golden opportunity for Robinson.

Robinson started in place of LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) on Friday against the 76ers. He recorded seven points, three rebounds, and one steal in 20 minutes of action.
The minutes were spread across Portland's lineup Friday as they easily handled Philadelphia and didn't need their best available players on the court for much of the game. Robinson will likely continue to start in the absence of Aldridge, although Sunday's contest against the Knicks seems like a probable return date for the usual starter, thus demoting Robinson back to a limited role off the bench.
Fri Dec 26 201422:14Robinson will start Friday against 76ers
Robinson will start Friday against the 76ers, the Oregonian reports.
An illness will keep LaMarcus Aldridge off the court Friday, affording Robinson the opportunity to make his second career start. Robinson hauled in six rebounds but did not score in eight minutes against Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Robinson posted 12 points (6-8 FG, 0-2 FT) and four rebounds in 19 minutes during Saturday's domination of the Hornets in New Orleans.
Robinson is proving his worth during the opening tilts without the services of Robin Lopez (hand), throwing down dunks with regularity while mixing in a midrange jumper. Although he's yielded the start to Joel Freeland in two straight games after a nod Wednesday, Robinson boasts averages of 9.7 points (on 63 percent shooting), 8.7 boards, and 0.7 assists in 25 minutes during that stretch. Coach Terry Stotts has seemingly tasked Robinson with his primary strengths -- rebounding and attacking the rim -- which could help the third-year forward sustain relevance during Lopez's remaining 5-to-6 weeks of recovery.

Robinson exploded in his first start of the season, posting a double-double with 15 points, 16 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 29 minutes of action.
Robinson did go 5-for-15 from the free-throw line, which means his strong production in increased minutes could come at a price. It's unclear whether he'll remain a starter, or if Chris Kaman will take his place, but an explosive performance such as Wednesday's should make Robinson a target in 12-man leagues at least until proven otherwise.
Wed Dec 17 201422:07Robinson will start Wednesday's game against Bucks
Robinson will start Wednesday's game against the Bucks, CSN Northwest reports.
Robinson will draw the start at center in place of the injured Robin Lopez (hand) on Wednesday night.

Robinson played the final nine minutes of Monday's win versus the Spurs, contributing seven points (2-2 FG, 3-4 FT) and three rebounds.
Robinson has appeared in only 10 of the Blazers' 25 games this season, but after Robin Lopez left in the third quarter Monday with what was eventually deemed a fractured right hand, Robinson ran with the crunch-time unit against an admittedly stripped-down Spurs lineup. No matter, Robinson got the call over Chris Kaman, Joel Freeland, and Meyers Leonard, which could equate to more consistent run during Lopez's indefinite absence. With so many unknowns hanging over the frontcourt situation, though, Robinson isn't an option to consider until he proves worthy of a steady spot in the rotation.

Robinson is averaging just eight minutes on the court this season over the eight games that he's played in.
Robinson only averaged 12.5 minutes on the court last season but it appears that he's being used less often during the 2014-15 campaign in Portland. As it stands, Robinson is only a viable option in deeper leagues, albeit a limited one at that.

The Trail Blazers did not pick up Robinson's fourth-year team option, meaning he will become a free agent after the 2014-15 season, Adrian Wojnarowki of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Robinson's case is an interesting one, as the fifth overall pick in the 2012 draft has worked to combat the "bust" label bestowed upon him just months into his NBA career. The Kansas product played only 51 games for the Kings before being shipped to the Rockets, and he was ultimately sent to Portland, where he spent the entirety of his second NBA season. Robinson played just 12.5 minutes per game last season but was a valuable energy guy off the bench during the playoffs, flashing the rebounding and shot-blocking ability that made him a collegiate star. All signs point to Robinson holding down a similar role this season, but as a free agent in the summer of 2015, he could once again find himself searching for a new, more permanent home.

Robinson (thumb) scored zero points (0-3 FG) and pulled down three rebounds in seven minutes in Tuesday's loss to Utah.
Robinson tore a ligament in his right thumb during summer league ball. In his return to action Tuesday, Robinson shared limited minutes off the bench with power forward Victor Claver. Coach Terry Stotts played all five starters for exactly 20 minutes, so this is a sign Stotts is determining who will become the valuable bench players this season. Out of the forwards and centers, only Chris Kaman stands out as a bench player on the Trail Blazers who might see enough time in the rotation to be of use in standard fantasy leagues.

Robinson (thumb) said he began "contact" practices last week and expects to be ready when training camp opens Tuesday, Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports.
Robinson underwent surgery in July to repair a torn thumb ligament suffered during a Las Vegas Summer League game. He was limited for much of the summer but expects to be at full strength for camp and the preseason. The energetic big man will again come off the bench this season as the backup to LaMarcus Aldridge at power forward. He'll compete with new addition Chris Kaman, among others, for minutes.
Tue Jul 22 201416:44Thomas Robinson (thumb) probable for camp
Trail Blazers F Thomas Robinson had surgery to repair a torn right thumb ligament on Tuesday, but he's expected to recover prior to training camp.
Robinson hurt himself during a Summer League game but the good news is that it's not severe enough to affect his regular-season outlook. He averaged 12.5 minutes off the bench last year and isn't likely to have a bigger role in 2014-15 while LaMarcus Aldridge is healthy.

Fri Jul 18 201413:36Report: Thomas Robinson (thumb) needs surgery
Thomas Robinson will likely need surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb, and the recovery time would be approximately six weeks.
Thomas is seeking a second opinion on his right thumb, but surgery seems like the most likely scenario. That gives Robinson plenty of time to recover for training camp, and this will likely be a non-issue heading into next season. Robinson suffered the injury during Tuesday's Summer League game vs. the Hawks.

Tue Jul 15 201421:31Thomas Robinson (thumb) done for Summer Lg.
Trail Blazers F Thomas Robinson will miss the remainder of Summer League "to repair an injured right thumb."
Robinson said after the game that X-rays were negative, but the word "repair" suggests otherwise. We'll consider him "out indefinitely" until the Blazers provide an official update, but with luck this won't impact his availability for training camp and the preseason.

Tue Jul 15 201417:37Thomas Robinson leaves with hand/wrist injury
Thomas Robinson didn't return to Tuesday's game after leaving with a right hand or wrist injury.
Robinson was "visibly upset" and we can only hope that he didn't suffer serious damage. We'll pass along further updates as they become available. He left the game with eight points, seven rebounds, five assists and five steals in 25 minutes of action.

Sat Jul 12 201418:55Thomas Robinson loving summer league again
Thomas Robinson scored 17 points vs. the Knicks on Saturday to go with seven boards, one assist, one block and five turnovers.
He had one of the highest motors at summer league last year and it's carried over into this one. Robinson's weak-side help really jumps off the court and his focus on the offensive glass has helped him grow. With LaMarcus Aldridge likely sticking around for a while, he'll have a tough time getting run with the Blazers.
