Mon Jan 27 201400:03Thomas Robinson snags season-high 11 rebounds
Trail Blazers forward Thomas Robinson scored five points and grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds in Sunday's 15-point loss to the Warriors.
He added one steal and one block in just 15 minutes to provide an encouraging footnote on a forgettable night for the Blazers. Robinson has intriguing upside but his fantasy value is minimal on a healthy Portland team surging toward the playoffs.

Thu Jan 9 201409:52Blazers bench rotation will be 'situational'
Terry Stotts confirmed that he'll take a "situational" approach to the eighth and ninth players in the Blazers' rotation.
"If you ask me what I'm going to do in the future, I'm not sure right now," Stotts said. "It's going to depend on the game and the matchups and how things are going." That's bad news for guys like Thomas Robinson, Dorell Wright, Meyers Leonard and Will Barton, though it shouldn't have any fantasy impact outside of very deep leagues.

Mon Nov 18 201322:03Robinson goes for nine and seven vs. BKY
Thomas Robinson scored nine points on 4-of-6 shooting with seven rebounds in just 13 minutes on Monday.
Robinson isn't really worth fantasy consideration outside of massive formats, but this is a reminder that if he could ever round out his game there is some interesting potential.

Thu Nov 14 201302:20Thomas Robinson plays well for Blazers
Thomas Robinson tied his career high with 15 points and six buckets (6-of-9) on Wednesday, and set a season high with eight boards.
He also had a steal and a block in his 17 minutes off the bench and he helped pick up Nicolas Batum's slack, as Batum was just 3-of-10 for nine points tonight. This is the hottest T-Rob has been since he was clocked going 107 in his car a couple weeks ago, but he's still not worth picking up in standard leagues.

Sun Oct 27 201313:56Thomas Robinson ticketed for driving 107 mph
Blazers F Thomas Robinson was ticketed for driving 107 mph in a 55 mph zone on Friday morning.
The 22-year-old was "polite and cooperative" and won't face any repercussions beyond a $1,150 fine. His offensive game still needs plenty of polish, but he rebounded well and should earn consistent minutes as LaMarcus Aldridge's primary backup. Portland already picked up his $3.7 million for the 2014-15 season, which gives them extra incentive to feed him minutes.

Thu Oct 10 201301:20Thomas Robinson ejected from exhibition
Thomas Robinson was ejected from Wednesday's game after picking up his second technical foul before halftime.
The ejection didn't seem warranted and this won't do anything to assuage Robinson, who said this week that he's "pissed off" and has been disrespected since coming to the NBA. Portland already picked up his 2014-15 option and he'll need to play solid minutes as a backup PF if the Blazers are going to make the playoffs.

Thu Oct 3 201320:50Thomas Robinson feels disrespected
Thomas Robinson said that he feels disrespected and is "pissed off" about last season.
"A lot of people don't know the ins and outs of this business. That's how it works, man," Robinson said. "There's no point in even talking about it. That's the way things work. I'm just ready to play." He did play with a chip on his shoulder in summer league for the Blazers. Robinson ranked third in boards per game and looked terrific in transition while in Las Vegas. He'll back up LaMarcus Aldridge, who sustained a left quad strain on Thursday.

Mon Sep 30 201314:28Blazers to keep Thomas Robinson through 2015
The Trail Blazers have picked up Thomas Robinson's $3.7 million option for the 2014-15 season.
Robinson was acquired from the Rockets in a salary-dump this summer. He should serve a useful role backing up LaMarcus Aldridge as part of a revamped second unit in Portland, and the Blazers made a low-risk bet that he'll improve on last year's 4.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in 15 minutes per game.

Mon Aug 19 201316:31Thomas Robinson feels wanted in Portland
Thomas Robinson said he feels "wanted" with his new team in Portland.
"I feel wanted there, which is a good thing," Robinson said. "They are young, especially with the main core guys, so I will try to go in there, find a spot to help the team." He looked like a new player in summer league and brought a ton of energy. He looked unstoppable in transition and showed great instincts on the glass. T-Rob still has a long way to around his career and he'll start the year as LaMarcus Aldridge's backup.

Thu Jul 18 201322:44Thomas Robinson continues stellar Vegas week
Thomas Robinson pulled down seven offensive boards in Thursday's loss to the Suns, finishing with 14 points, 11 boards and three blocks on 5-of-13 shooting.
He is making a clear effort in his battle on the boards and he's done a much better job of anticipating when a shot is about to be attempt, which has led to his improved positioning. Robinson has been one of the most eye-catching players in Las Vegas and ranks third in rebounding. We've been saying it all week, but we'll need to see T-Rob post some nice lines against stiffer competition before getting too excited about his upcoming season.

Tue Jul 16 201322:38Thomas Robinson goes for 12 points, 18 boards
Thomas Robinson played 29 minutes against the Bulls on Tuesday, scoring 12 points with 18 boards, two assists, one steal, one block and four turnovers on 4-of-9 from the field.
He had a big game and the Blazers were dominant on the boards, winning the rebounding battle 51-29. Robinson displayed the athleticism of a small forward for most of this game, defending Tony Snell and hustled down the floor in transition. As nice as this game was, it'll be tough to overlook his disastrous rookie season. We'll be keeping an eye on him, though.

Mon Jul 15 201314:49Thomas Robinson needs more consistent effort
Thomas Robinson is averaging 6.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.5 turnovers through two Summer League games, while shooting 29.4 percent from the field.
It's a tiny sample size but it underscores what Blazers assistant coach David Vanterpool said about T-Rob this weekend. "[Robinson] has to be consistent with his effort," he said. "His motor, sometimes it's up really at a high level; at other times, it starts to wane." Robinson admitted that his offense is "still a work in progress," but he has an ideal chance to develop his skills as LaMarcus Aldridge's backup.

Wed Jul 10 201313:25Blazers GM calls T. Robinson a 'priority'
While announcing the acquisition of Thomas Robinson from the Rockets, Blazers GM Neil Olshey said Robinson's development is a "priority."
"[Robinson] has the potential to be one of the best young forwards in the league," said Olshey. "His development will be a priority for us." T-Rob didn't fare too well as a rookie, finishing with a 10.9 Player Efficiency Rating and a lousy 45.1 percent true shooting percentage, while turning the ball over at a startlingly high rate. With LaMarcus Aldridge and Robin Lopez manning the middle, Portland can afford to bring Robinson along slowly.

Tue Jul 9 201317:24Thomas Robinson will join Summer League team
Thomas Robinson will join the Blazers in Summer League after the NBA moratorium concludes on July 10.
He was solid in Summer League last year, averaging 13.0 points and 9.8 boards with the Kings. It's hard to believe that last year's fifth pick in the draft has already been traded twice and he's surely hoping to make a big impression on his new team. Robinson could have an opportunity for minutes with J.J. Hickson in Denver.

Sun Jun 30 201320:36Rockets trade Thomas Robinson to Blazers
The Rockets have traded Thomas Robinson to the Blazers in exchange for two future second-round picks and the draft rights to Kostas Papanikolau and Marko Todorovic, according to Yahoo! Sports.
The Rockets were always expected to unload Robinson's contract, clearing salary cap space for their all-out pursuit of Dwight Howard. The only question was where he'd land, and Portland jumped to acquire a talented young big man they can develop behind LaMarcus Aldridge (or possibly groom to replace him if he agitates for a trade). It's not ideal for fantasy purposes, however, and T-Rob should go undrafted as long as Aldridge is on the Blazers' roster.

Wed Jun 26 201314:45Report: Bulls would flip Robinson after trade
The Bulls would flip Thomas Robinson to another team if they acquired him on or before draft night, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Stein reported earlier Wednesday the Bulls could deal the No. 20 pick for Robinson, who was the fifth overall selection last year at this time. It's stunning how quickly his stock has fallen, but the Rockets are desperately attempting to clear space to land Dwight Howard in free agency. The Cavs are also rumored to have interest in Robinson.

Wed Jun 26 201313:25Report: Robinson to Cavs, Bulls on the table
Thomas Robinson could be dealt to either the Cavs or Bulls on or before draft night, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Stein reports that Robinson for the Cavs No. 19 pick or Robinson for the Bulls pick at No. 20 are both scenarios on the table. Considering Robinson was the fifth overall pick last season, it's not an unreasonable asking price at all. We would be surprised if Robinson is not dealt considering how badly the team wants to make a play for Dwight Howard.

Tue Jun 25 201312:46Report: Rockets close to dealing Robinson
The Rockets are in "advanced talks" in a trade of Thomas Robinson, sources told the Houston Chronicle.
It makes sense. The team has been shopping him forever, and the Cavs and Spurs have each shown interest in Robinson prior. The Spurs would be an intriguing destination for the young man, who will likely be on his third team in less than two full years if and when he's dealt. The Bulls have been involved in talks as well, but it appears Chicago isn't really an option at this point.

Fri Jun 21 201320:12HOU can cut Thomas Robinson for draft pick
The Rockets have been offered the opportunity to shed the contract of Thomas Robinson for a first-round pick in the 2013 draft, according to ESPN.com.
The Rockets are likely to capitalize on this chance for a few reasons: Dwight Howard has been rumored to be interested in joining the Rockets, the Rockets have some interest in foreign players with that compensatory pick and Thomas Robinson hasn't really been that great. Surprisingly, T-Rob shot 44.9 percent for 4.5 points in 13.0 minutes per game in 19 contests with the Rockets. Last year's fifth pick in the draft already has the bust label on him and could be looking for a new team next week.

Thu May 30 201318:16Report: HOU to free up space to chase Howard
The Rockets are trying to trade Thomas Robinson in order to free up cap space to aid in their pursuit of Dwight Howard, league sources told Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Rockets only acquired Robinson from the Kings at the trade deadline. According to Wojnarowski, the Rockets have told rival teams they'll accept the best offer possible for Robinson, which includes a trade exception, a draft pick or non-guaranteed contracts. If the Rockets move's Robinson's $3.2 million salary, they would be able to offer Howard a deal worth roughly $20.5 million annually, according to Wojnarowski. Robinson averaged 4.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in a combined 70 games after being the No. 5 overall pick in last year's draft.
