Bazemore will start Saturday's game in Miami, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

DeMarre Carroll, who is sitting out Saturday, was initially believed to be an inactive in order to rest. However, before the contest, he received an electric simulant on his left shoulder. With Thabo Sefolosha (calf) still sidelined, Bazemore will get the nod at small forward, after averaging six points (on 33 percent shooting), three rebounds, and one assist in 29 minutes.

Bazemore scored nine points (3-6 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 0-2 FT) with four rebounds, two assists and a block in 24 minutes off the bench Wednesday.

He's been seeing steady minutes as the Hawks' sixth man since returning to the bench, and drained multiple three-pointers in three of his last four games. Bazemore's fantasy value is limited by his role, but in deep leagues he could still be worth rostering.

Bazemore returned to his role coming off the bench Wednesday as DeMarre Carroll rejoined the starting lineup. In 24 minutes, Bazemore had three points (1-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt), five rebounds, and an assist.

It looks like Bazemore's stint as a fantasy relevant player may be over for the time being. Although he logged 24 minutes Wednesday, he only managed three points. Bazemore doesn't have Thabo Sefolosha to compete with for minutes for at least the next month, but he doesn't produce enough when he's on the floor to warrant a spot in your lineup.

Bazemore will start Monday's contest at New Orleans, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Bazemore has boosted his workload over the past two games due to injuries to DeMarre Carroll (general soreness) and Thabo Sefolosha (calf). In the back-to-back set, Bazemore averaged 7.5 points (on 50 percent shooting), four rebounds, 2.5 assists, one steal, and one block in 35 minutes. While he may not be afforded as much run due to Carroll being deemed active, Bazemore's relevance should be undeniable for at least one more game.

Bazemore got the start Saturday, but only managed three points, three rebounds, and two assists in 30 minutes against Philadelphia.

Bazemore was an interesting value option coming into Saturday given that the two small forwards ahead of him on the depth chart were sidelined, but turned in a disappointing performance. Thabo Sefolosha's absence for the next 6-to-8 weeks should open up more minutes for Bazemore, but he'll return to the bench once Carroll comes back.

With DeMarre Carroll (general soreness) out and Thabo Sefolosha injuring his calf Friday, Bazemore earned for more run than normal. In fact, he supplied 13 points (5-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-3 FT), five rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block in 40 minutes to the Hawks' 18th consecutive victory. Expect another jam-packed line due to the minutes available on the wing.

Thabo Sefolosha was starting in place of DeMarre Carroll (soreness) but left after playing just two minutes with a calf injury and did not return to action. Bazemore was the beneficiary, playing 40 minutes compared to his average 12 minutes per game. If Carroll and Sefolosha can't go against the Sixers on Saturday, Bazemore might be a solid play for daily games.

Bazemore provided a season-high 17 points (7-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt) with five rebounds in the win over the 76ers on Tuesday.

Atlanta was able to rest its starters and still get a win against Philadelphia. Bazemore received a nice bump in minutes and was able to take advantage of more shot attempts. This was his second double-digit performance of the season, so there is little reason to add him.

Bazemore came off the bench for 15 minutes Friday and ultimately finished with three points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT), five rebounds, and two blocks against the Pelicans.

Bazemore had a surprising role with the Lakers last season but seems to be a minor contributor in Atlanta. With that in mind, Bazemore should only be utilized in deeper formats unless things change in Atlanta as the season continues.

Bazemore came off the bench on Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs to play 11 minutes. He only managed to score two points (1-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT) with one rebound and one assist.

Bazemore is buried on the depth chart behind DeMarre Carroll, Kyle Korver, and Thabo Sefolosha. It would take a rash of injuries to the Hawks wing players for Bazemore to play meaningful minutes. In general, coach Mike Budenholzer likes to play his starters as much as possible, so leave Bazemore on your waiver wire.

Bazemore (foot) has played in Atlanta's past two preseason games while coming off the bench.

Bazemore will continue to come off the bench when the regular season starts, despite earning some time in the starting lineup with the Lakers last season. The 25-year-old will likely split time off the bench with Thabo Sefolosha and John Jenkins which limits his value.

He has taken part in the contact portions of practice this week, so he should be able to take the court in the near future.

Bazemore is edging closer to 100 percent health following foot surgery in April and Wednesday's practice marked an encouraging development on that front. The swingman participated in live scrimmage action, which could make it worthwhile to monitor his status in advance of Saturday's preseason game versus the Grizzlies. In any event, Bazemore is expected to provide an offensive alternative to Thabo Sefolosha behind starting shooting guard Kyle Korver this season.

Bazemore had foot surgery in April and was expected to be ready to go come training camp, but the Hawks will take the safe approach and bring him along slowly to start. After being traded to the Lakers at the trade deadline last season, he had a coming out party and averaged 13.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.3 steals, while playing 28 minutes per game. As soon as he's 100 percent healthy, he'll be battling with Thabo Sefolosha for playing time behind Kyle Korver as the back up shooting guard. It's highly unlikely he'll repeat his averages from the second half of last season, as he shouldn't get nearly the minutes he was receiving with the Lakers.

Kent Bazemore will reportedly sign a two-year, $4 million deal to play for the Hawks.

Bazemore's contract is fully guaranteed and though there are some quality players along the wing with Kyle Korver, and DeMarre Carroll, Thabo Sefolosha and if we're feeling nice John Salmons -- this isn't necessarily a crucial blow to his fantasy value. If he can elbow his way in front of Sefolosha and Salmons, he could be positioned for 20-30 minutes per game.

The Lakers are still hoping to retain unrestricted free agent Kent Bazemore.

The Lakers reportedly called Bazemore again Wednesday night to reiterate their desire to re-sign him. Bazemore had a bit of a breakout season in averaging 12.5 points, 1.5 three-pointers, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.3 dimes and 1.2 steals during the month of March and has received interest from the Jazz, Hawks, Celtics, Spurs, and Hornets. The Lakers have their work cut out for them in retaining Bazemore, but even if they don't retain the 25-year-old, it looks sounds as if they're committed to going down in a Baze of Glory

Unrestricted free agent Kent Bazemore met with the Hawks in Atlanta on Monday, however, no deal is imminent.

Bazemore has meetings scheduled with San Antonio (Tues), Boston (Wed), and Charlotte (Sat). He reportedly is expected to make a decision by next Sunday or Monday, but he would have the best chance at putting up relevant stats in Boston.

Bazemore has also received interest from the Hawks, Spurs, Suns, Celtics, Lakers, and Mavericks, which may drive up his price a bit on the open market.
