Thu Jul 3 201417:29Kent Bazemore getting interest from Warriors
Unrestricted free agent Kent Bazemore has received interest from the Warriors.
He was with the Warriors earlier this season before being sent to the Lakers in the Steve Blake deal. Bazemore sort of came out of nowhere at Las Vegas Summer League with the Warriors last year and the team could wind up bringing him back to come off the bench. For what it's worth, he still lives in the Bay Area.

Thu Jul 3 201413:03Lakers past preliminary talks w/Kent Bazemore
The Lakers have moved past the preliminary stages of talks with Kent Bazemore, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
McMenamin also added that the sides are not close to a deal, so it doesn't sound like there's anything imminent here. The 25-year-old flashed some potential in averaging 12.5 points, 1.5 three-pointers, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.3 dimes and 1.2 steals during the month of March and has already met with the Jazz as part of the free agency process. Utah could still manage to land Bazemore while the Lakers focus on wooing Carmelo Anthony, but Jazz fans may want to hold off on buying their "Purple Baze" jerseys for now.

Wed Jul 2 201415:10Kent Bazemore getting interest from Jazz
Unrestricted free agent Kent Bazemore has been talking to the Jazz about a contract.
The Lakers reportedly want him back, but he's going to be a lower priority for them while they go after big-name free agents. If they're not careful, Bazemore could sign with another team instead of waiting around to see what the Lakers offer.

Tue Jul 1 201420:08Bazemore set to meet with Spurs, Celtics
Free agent Kent Bazemore is set to meet with the Spurs on Tuesday, and the Celtics on Wednesday, as part of his tour.
The Lakers have already been in contact, but Bazemore will be obviously looking for the best deal possible. He had some big games last season, but chances are his fantasy value will be hindered by a bench role next season.

Tue Jul 1 201415:06Spurs join pursuit of FA Kent Bazemore
The Spurs have contacted representatives for free agent Kent Bazemore, who has already drawn interest from the Celtics, Hawks, Lakers and Mavericks.
Bazemore is an unrestricted FA who opened some GM's eyes during 23 games with the Lakers last season, when he averaged 13.1 points on 45.1 percent shooting (37.1 percent from downtown). He also had 1.4 threes, 3.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.3 steals in only 28 minutes per game, and in the right situation he could be a surprisingly valuable fantasy asset.

Tue Jul 1 201401:49Lakers interested in bringing Bazemore back
Along with the Hawks, Mavericks and Celtics, Kent Bazemore got a call from the Lakers on Tuesday morning in hopes that they can persuade him to return.
Bazemore had some big games for the Lakers last season (along with some duds), but as far as his fantasy value goes, if the Lakers don't come through with the huge moves they're hoping to, a return for Bazemore could be fun to watch.

Tue Jul 1 201401:26Report: Hawks very interested in Bazemore
The Hawks were the first team to reach out to unrestricted free agent Kent Bazemore.
The Hawks are an interesting destination because of their general lack of depth, so this would be a positive development for Bazemore if it pans out.

Mon Jun 30 201409:42Suns expected to go after Kent Bazemore?
The Suns are expected to pursue unrestricted free agent Kent Bazemore (foot) in free agency.
The Lakers did not extend a qualifying offer to Bazemore in an effort to maximize their cap space, which comes as a mild surprise. Bazemore isn't going to be a high-priority guy for the Suns and they're also in the mix for plenty of big-name free agents.

Sat Jun 28 201414:55Lakers don't give Bazemore a qualifying offer
The Lakers did not make Kent Bazemore a qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent.
The Lakers are just clearing up some cap space here, but they won't be able to match offers on him. Bazemore tore a tendon in his foot to end his season, but he should be healthy. The Lakers may try bring him back on a multi-year deal, but they'll probably wait until the smoke clears on the high-profile players.

He is a restricted free agent this summer and the Lakers are expected to offer the 24-year old a $1.1M qualifying offer. Tue Jun 3 201413:03Lakers expected to try to keep Kent Bazemore
The Lakers are expected to issue an offer sheet that will increase their chances of locking up restricted free agent Kent Bazemore.
The Lakers are reportedly high on the 24-year-old and are expected to offer a $1.1 million qualifying offer that will make him a restricted free agent this summer. There is always the chance that another team comes in and gives Bazemore a contract that the Lakers won't want to match, but the smart money is on Bazemore suiting up for the purple and gold next season. In 23 games with the Lakers, Bazemore averaged 13 points on 45.1 percent shooting and could provide decent late-round value in deeper fantasy leagues next season.

Tue May 20 201417:36Kent Bazemore (foot) faces 4-6 week of rehab
Lakers SF Kent Bazemore (torn foot tendon) will soon have a boot removed from his right foot, after which he'll rehab for another 4-6 weeks.
Bazemore has been limited to working out on a stationary bike but he should progress to the next phase of his rehab as long as no setbacks are revealed during his doctor's appointment this week. L.A. can offer Bazemore a $1.1 million qualifying offer to make him a restricted FA this summer, so his health has immediate repercussions. "He's going to be 100 percent healthy well before any type of training camp," said his agent, Austin Walton. "He's not going to be doing anything to jeopardize his health."

Kent Bazemore underwent successful surgery Wednesday to repair the torn peroneus longus tendon in his right foot.
He's expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the 2014-15 opener. It's unclear what his offseason plan is yet, but Bazemore was electric at Las Vegas Summer League last offseason and could wind up there again. His fantasy value figures to take a hit on a team with a full complement of players.

Mon Apr 14 201420:32Kent Bazemore will have surgery on Wednesday
Kent Bazemore will have surgery on his torn tendon in his right foot in Wednesday.
He has a torn peroneus longus tendon and was ruled out for the season last week. Bazemore's role with the Lakers is unclear, but he's unlikely to be a key part of the rotation once the team is back to full strength. He's a lot of fun to watch, but his careless style will likely hurt his allotment of playing time.

Kent Bazemore scored 14 points on 6-of-18 shooting (including two threes) with seven rebounds, six assists and two steals in Wednesday's loss to the Kings.
Bazemore has been rolling at a top-100 level and will improve that return after tonight's game. He should be owned in all formats despite the chaos in L.A.

Fri Mar 28 201422:54Bazemore leads Lakers' pathetic effort
Kent Bazemore led the Lakers' truly pathetic effort on Friday against the Wolves, scoring 21 points on 9-of-18 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block over 36 minutes in the 143-107 loss
Bazemore's 36 minutes led the way and the Lakers have all gone fishing, so it's going to be tough to rely on anybody not named Jodie Meeks (19 points, one three, four boards, four assists, three steals, one block). Nick Young added 11 points, three treys and four steals, and Wes Johnson scored 13 points with two steals and three. We're off to go take a shower after watching this game.

Fri Mar 28 201419:27Kent Bazemore starting vs. Wolves on Friday
Kent Bazemore will start against the Wolves on Friday night.
He will start in place of Wesley Johnson and coach Mike D'Antoni seems to be moving guys to help out with the loss of Xavier Henry (knee) tonight. Bazemore is a decent, high-upside play in most formats due to his success in the starting lineup more often than not.

Thu Mar 27 201422:50Kent Bazemore scores nine in 18 minutes
Kent Bazemore scored nine points in 18 minutes against the Bucks on Thursday with two assists and one 3-pointer.
While he doesn't have any starts at point guard, that's the position Bazemore has played the most in his career and he's been a primary ball handler for the second unit. He's been getting most of his run lately next to Jodie Meeks and Nick Young, but even that trio of high usage guys have been able to co-exist. Like most bench guys, Bazemore will have some ups and downs.

Sat Mar 22 201403:44Kent Bazemore scores three points
Kent Bazemore scored just three points in his start on Friday with one assist and two turnovers in 11 minutes.
Ouch. Nick Young's return really burned Bazemore tonight and Xavier Henry also picked up quite a few minutes at small forward. Jodie Meek's minutes at shooting guard are not going anywhere, so Bazemore's role seems a little undefined at this point. It was a really bad matchup for him against a bigger Trevor Ariza, but things sure do look bleak for the former Warrior.
