Mon Mar 17 201414:51Magic to sign Dewayne Dedmon for season
The Magic will sign C Dewayne Dedmon for the remainder of the season.
He's as raw as they come and didn't play organized basketball until his senior year in high school, but Orlando has little to lose by gambling on a young, athletic center. In 18 appearances this season, Dedmon has averaged 2.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.5 blocks in just nine minutes per game.

Tue Mar 4 201413:31Magic sign Dewayne Dedmon to second 10-day
The Orlando Magic have signed Dewayne Dedmon to a second 10-day contract.
Dedmon's first 10-day deal wouldn't have expired until Thursday night, but the Magic wasted no time in re-upping the 7-footer. Dedmon has only played three total minutes with the Magic, however, so his fantasy value is just about rock bottom.

Tue Feb 25 201410:08Orlando Magic sign C Dewayne Dedmon
Orlando Magic sign C Dewayne Dedmon.
Orlando will be the third NBA city that Dedmon has called home this season and his latest signing will come on yet another 10-day deal. The seven-footer hasn't done much in his stints with Golden State and Philadelphia this year, but he could see enough minutes in Orlando to improve upon his 2013-14 averages of 3.4 points, 4.5 boards, and 0.8 blocks. Owners in standard leagues don't need to run to their waiver wires based on this news, but Dedmon should provide some value in deep leagues.

Fri Feb 21 201416:02Dewayne Dedmon signs with Magic
Dewayne Dedmon is expected to sign a 10-day deal with the Magic on Monday.
The Magic are expected to also bring on Adonis Thomas, but they still have room on their roster to give Dedmon a shot. After putting up eye-popping stats in the D-League, Dedmon didn't do much with averages of 3.4 points, 4.5 boards and 0.8 blocks in 13.6 minutes with the Sixers in 11 games. As far as his fantasy outlook goes, it would have worked much better had he come to a deal with the Sixers. He can be left on the wire in all leagues.

Dewayne Dedmon's 10-day contract expires on Thursday.
Whie Dedmon's contract may be up, the news of Brandon Davies' injury that will keep him out four-to-six weeks all but assure's Dedmon of another 10-day deal. "I like what we've seen in him," coach Brett Brown said. "There's a size, obviously, but there's an enthusiasm and an energy. We'll make the official decision [today] but I'm thrilled with what he's done so far." Dedmon is averaging 14.8 minutes, 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, and 3.6 points per game in his five appearances for the Sixers. Tue Jan 21 201411:15Dewayne Dedmon making an impact with Sixers
Dewayne Dedmon is making an impact with the 76ers.
Dedmon has impressed the Sixers thus far on his current 10-day contract and has been solid in backing up Spencer Hawes. "How can you not be excited about him?" coach Brett Brown said. "He's a 7-footer who gets up and down the floor. He plays with tenacity." Dedmon's averages of 3.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in four games with the Sixers don't scream value, but he's worth a flier in deeper leagues as long as his contract is picked up.

Sat Jan 18 201422:50Dedmon goes for eight and seven with a block
Dewayne Dedmon went for eight and seven with a block in Saturday's game against the Bulls.
Dedmon logged 17 minutes and he probably needs something to happen to Spencer Hawes in order to truly have value, but he should be on the fantasy radar given the Sixers' jackpot system. In deeper leagues owners can consider a speculative add.

Thu Jan 16 201411:48Dewayne Dedmon goes scoreless in Sixers debut
Dewayne Dedmon went scoreless in his Sixers debut Wednesday night.
Dedmon played 14 minutes and was at least able to register seven rebounds. It was interesting to see the newly-signed Dedmon play more minutes than Brandon Davis, so it's very possible he may win the backup job behind Spencer Hawes. Dedmon isn't worth a pickup in standard leagues, but he could be an interesting snag in deeper leagues going forward.

Dedmon had been averaging 15.2 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks in his 15 games in the D-League, so there is some potential here. He'll be battling Brandon Davies to be the to backup behind Spencer Hawes and is worth a flier for those in deeper leagues just in case he's able to win that battle.

Sixers will sign Dewayne Dedmon to a 10-day deal in the coming days.
He might be the best big man in the D-League, averaging 15.2 points, 13.5 boards and 2.3 blocks in his 15 games. The Sixers are probably giving Spener Hawes more minutes than they should, so Dedmon could provide some relief. He'll go up against Brandon Davies and could have a shot at some minutes.

He's been one of the most impressive big men in the D-League so far this year, averaging 15.2 points, 13.5 boards and 2.3 boards in 15 games. Dedmon is an athletic seven-footer and the Sixers might looking to sign him or Jarvis Varnado. He'd be on the radar in deeper leagues on a shallow Sixers team.

Thu Dec 5 201312:45Golden State Warriors waive Dewayne Dedmon
The Golden State Warriors waived center Dewayne Demon on Thursday.
This isn't a surprise as Dedmon only played six total minutes in four games with the Warriors after being called up from the Santa Cruz Warriors of the D-League. Dedmon is still only 24 and 7-footers don't grow on trees, so we'll keep an eye out to see if he hooks on with another organization.

Tue Nov 19 201311:06Dewayne Dedmon signs with the Warriors
The Warriors have signed Dewayne Dedmon from the D-League Santa Cruz Warriors.
Dedmon was one of the last cuts out of training camp and will help fill-in for Jermaine O'Neal while he recovers from a bruised knee and groin strain. Dedmon is worth watching just in case he sees big minutes in Golden State's depleted frontcourt, but fantasy owners don't need to concern themselves with remembering how to spell Dewayne just yet.
