Sat Oct 30 201021:54Bibby scores 12 with four assists
Mike Bibby scored 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting with two treys, three rebounds, and four assists in 31 minutes on Saturday.
Backup PG Jeff Teague played just 14 minutes with six points and one assist, so we're going to put this backcourt situation to rest until something changes. Until then, you can expect this type of production from Bibby on a nightly basis.
Fri Oct 29 201022:21Bibby cools off, but Hawks now 2-0
Mike Bibby had eight points, six rebounds and two 3-pointers in Friday's win.
He was coming off a monster night, but this is more likely the type of line he'll post from night to night. Jeff Teague had four points and two assists, but played just 11 minutes. Apparently, it's going to take some time for him to work his way fully into the rotation.
Tue Oct 26 201009:41Bibby to start at point guard
Mike Bibby will start at point guard in Wednesday's opener.
It's not a surprise after Jeff Teague's preseason was marred by an ankle injury. Still, expectations for Bibby should be kept very low. He averaged 9.1 points and 3.9 assists last season in 27 minutes a night and will see those minutes reeled in even more once Teague gets going.

Fri Oct 22 201001:09Bibby scores 13 points, comes to life a bit
Mike Bibby showed some signs of life after a listless preseason on Thursday, scoring 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting (including a three) with no rebounds, five assists, a steal, and a block in 29 minutes against the Heat.
It could have been the fact that both teams played hard or the fact that Jeff Teague returned from his ankle injury, but in any event it's good to see he still has a pulse. We still don't like him in fantasy leagues, as it's likely he will be on the wrong end of a time-share by year's end.
Sun Oct 17 201004:16Bibby (back) returns to action Saturday
Mike Bibby (back) returned to action on Saturday against the Hornets, and scored five points on 2-of-6 shooting (including a three) with no rebounds and one assist in 25 minutes.
Jeff Teague (ankle) still isn't on the court, and that may be the only thing keeping him from losing his job outright before the season starts. Add the fact that Jordan Crawford has earned minutes with his strong play this preseason, and it's hard to think of a player less attractive on draft day.
Sat Oct 16 201002:40Bibby bothered by back injury (and Teague)
Mike Bibby (back) didn't practice Friday and is questionable to play on Saturday.
Jeff Teague, who is making a serious push at Bibby for the starting point guard job, is out with an ankle injury. If Bibby's back remains an issue, he should be avoided in all leagues. Then again, even if healthy, he's probably still not worth drafting.

Tue Oct 12 201005:57Bibby's defense a major stumbling block
Mike Bibby's lateral movement on defense is so bad that it could keep the Hawks from playing straight up defense when he's on the court.
Bibby's decline appears to be playing out even faster than we thought it would, and it's probably time for owners to start projecting second-year PG Jeff Teague with starter's minutes. If he doesn't get them immediately, he will certainly have them at some point barring a complete nosedive.
Mon Oct 11 201022:57Bibby quiet in 29 minutes on Monday
Mike Bibby had a quiet night Monday during preseason action against the Pistons, scoring just three points on 1-of-4 shooting with a three, two rebounds, three assists, and a steal in 29 minutes.
Sure it's just preseason, but the line exemplifies the problem with Bibby's fantasy outlook. Even if he's starting and getting good minutes, he's not likely to produce enough to matter. The fact that Jeff Teague could render him useless anytime now, makes Bibby someone to avoid like the plague.
Fri Aug 13 201013:18Bibby will enter camp as the starter
Mike Bibby will enter camp as the Hawks starting point guard, ahead of Jeff Teague, coach Larry Drew confirmed.
This may seem obvious, but anyone with two eyes can see that Bibby is declining badly while Teague's play demands minutes. "It's not just going to be handed to him. If he proves it, he has an opportunity." We doubt Drew will bench Bibby, but an even timeshare is very likely.

Mon May 10 201023:27Mike Bibby struggles (again) in Game 4
Hawks veteran Mike Bibby continued to struggle in Monday's season-ending loss -- he scored four points in 11 minutes, yielding to backup Jamal Crawford (18 points in 40 minutes).
Bibby was torched by Magic PG Jameer Nelson throughout the second round, and wound up averaging just four points and two assists in limited minutes. Unfortunately for Atlanta, Bibby is owed a guaranteed $11.8 million over the next two seasons.
Sat Apr 17 201020:19Mike Bibby makes 8-of-9 FGs on Saturday
Hawks veteran Mike Bibby looked rejuvenated in Saturday's victory, making 8-of-9 field goals (3-of-3 from downtown) for 19 points.
Bibby had scored more than 19 points just three times during the regular season, shooting 41.6% from the field. We don't expect any more hyper-efficient games like this in the postseason, but it's a good omen.
Sat Apr 10 201022:26Bibby scores 10 pts, vanishes in 2nd half
Mike Bibby scored 10 points in the first half on Saturday, then disappeared in the second half.
Bibby wound up playing just 16 minutes, while fellow starters' Josh Smith and Marvin Williams were each limited to just 27 minutes. Part of the explanation was a solid bench effort -- the rest is Atlanta's desire to keep their players fresh for the postseason.
Wed Apr 7 201019:05Bibby (toe) will play Wednesday
Mike Bibby (toe) will play Wednesday against the Pistons.
This moves Jeff Teague back to the bench, but neither him or Bibby is worth much outside of very deep leagues. Zaza Pachulia (hip) is also active, but also isn't worth fantasy consideration.

Wed Apr 7 201013:47Bibby a game-time call for Wednesday
Mike Bibby (toe) is a game-time decision for Wednesday.
If Bibby is unable to go, Jeff Teague (nine points, six assists on Tuesday) would get another start. In addition, Zaza Pachulia (hip) is a game-time decision, but that news shouldn't have much of an impact outside of extremely deep leagues.

Tue Apr 6 201017:51Bibby out tonight
Mike Bibby (toe) is out for Tuesday's game against the Bobcats and is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pistons.
Tue Apr 6 201016:49Bibby to sit out tonight?
Mike Bibby is suddenly questionable for tonight's game against the Bobcats with an in-grown toe nail.
The Hawks are already without Joe Johnson and they won't play Bibby at less than 100 percent as the playoffs approach. Maurice Evans, Jamal Crawford and Jeff Teague will all pick up extra minutes, even if Bibby is able to suit up.
