His absence led to some big outings for Luka Doncic (35 points, 16 boards, seven assists) and Spencer Dinwiddie (23 points, five three-pointers). Doncic can deliver gaudy numbers no matter who is on the court. Dinwiddie, meanwhile, has been routinely scoring the rock and adding some assists since joining the team in mid-February, but his upside takes a hit with Brunson on the court.

The team said he wouldn't be available when workouts start up again July 1, but provided no specific details about the cause or severity of the injury. Lee became a part-time starter after Jalen Brunson injured his right shoulder. After playing in only 10 of the first 50 games for the Mavericks this season, Lee appeared in 14 of their last 17.
