Mon Dec 11 202319:08Jalen Brunson Is Active Versus Raptors
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) was originally listed as questionable but has been upgraded to active against the Toronto Raptors on Monday. The star guard staying on the floor will mean a much better Knicks offense compared to him watching from the sidelines. Fantasy managers can put him into their lineups with confidence that he'll deliver another solid performance, especially against a Raptors team that has been pretty lenient to opposing guards.

Sun Dec 10 202322:53Jalen Brunson Iffy To Play Against Raptors
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) is suffering from a left ankle sprain and has been tagged as questionable for Monday's game against the Toronto Raptors. As the leader of the offense, losing Brunson for any amount of time is a big blow to the Knicks. He's having a great season so far as he averages 24.8 points, 5.5 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game. If he has to miss his first game of the year, it's unclear whether Immanuel Quickley or Josh Hart would move into the starting five, but they both should see added minutes either way. Quentin Grimes may also see an uptick in opportunities in that scenario.

Sat Nov 4 202310:17Jalen Brunson Erupts For 45 Points
New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson kicked off the NBA's new in-season tournament with a big 45-point performance Friday against Milwaukee. He tied Walt Frazier and Stephon Marbury for the most 40-point games by a point guard in franchise history, but it ended up coming in a losing effort as Damian Lillard sparked a late Bucks run, giving the Knicks a 110-105 loss. Brunson scored by far the most points on the historic first-ever night of in-season tournament action, shooting 17-for-30 from the field with a 2-for-8 record from downtown and a 9-for-11 effort at the charity stripe. His line also included five rebounds, four assists, and one steal. Brunson's shooting has been a bit off early in the season, but he's a highly talented scorer and was never going to slump for too long.

Sun Aug 13 202322:15Jalen Brunson Doesn't Miss Against Spain
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson posted a perfect shooting night in Team USA's exhibition game against Spain on Sunday. The dynamic point guard finished the game shooting 9-for-9 with 21 points. 16 of his 21 points came in the first half alone. As a team, the Americans shot a red-hot 67% from the floor which includes 56% on threes. Spain is currently ranked first in the world while the US comes in at number two. Brunson and company sure didn't look like a team that was ranked lower than their opponent as they move to 3-0 in exhibitions.

Wed Aug 9 202309:45Jalen Brunson Believes Busy Summer Will Benefit Him Next Season
New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson believes his involvement with Team USA this summer will help him prepare for the upcoming NBA season. "I think it's another way to get ready for training camp," Brunson said. "You gotta look at it and see the positives that come out of this, going towards the NBA season. I know I'll be ready for that. I think for me, my mindset is focused on this and not really worrying about what's going on ahead right now." Brunson was one of the breakout stars of the 2022-23 NBA season, leading the Knicks into the playoffs by averaging 24.0 points and 6.2 assists, which were both his career-high marks. We can expect to see similar output from the 26-year-old guard in 2023-24.

Tue Aug 1 202307:32Biggest Moves of the 2023 NBA Offseason - Fred VanVleet, Jordan Poole, Kristaps Porzingis, Bradley Beal
It's a crazy time of year around the National Basketball Association. Not long after the Denver Nuggets captured the franchise's first championship, French big manVictor Wembanyama was the top pick of the 2023 Draft. While new talent entering the league is all well and good, nothing turns the NBA upside down quite like the beginning of free agency. Since June 30, many notable players have signed with new teams. There were also more than a few significant trades. In either case, at least a handful of clubs will look very different (for the better?) come training camp. Let's take a look at some of the biggest names on the move and how they might affect the NBA landscape this season.

Fred VanVleet - Houston Rockets

The Rockets entered the 2022-23 campaign as the second-youngest team in the National Basketball Association, and it showed. The club finished with 22 wins and 60 losses, with the Pistons being the only team with a worse record. As a result, the front office made a point to shake things up after the exhaustingly long year came to a close. The overhaul began when Stephen Silas, winning just 59 of his 236 games in Houston, was relieved of his head coaching duties. In his place, Ime Udoka, who helped guide the Celtics to an NBA Finals appearance in his first season, took the reigns. While Udoka's tenure in Boston didn't end on a positive note, he's still regarded as one of the sharpest minds in the league, even by those who lost respect for him on a personal level.https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1650612243661242369?s=20While having a knowledgeable head coach will help accelerate the growth of an up-and-coming squad, the Rockets needed someone to facilitate things on the floor. With Houston having plenty of cap space entering the offseason, the team signed ... [More]
Sat May 13 202310:17Jalen Brunson Has Big Performance In Friday's Losing Effort
New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson scored a game-high 41 points in 45 minutes Friday night against Miami but couldn't keep the team alive in the playoffs. Brunson played out of his skin, shooting 14-for-22 from the field and 5-for-10 from downtown, but the rest of the squad combined for only 13 made field goals as the Knicks' season fizzled out with a 96-92 loss. It was Brunson's third consecutive game with at least 30 points, and he completed his line with four rebounds and three steals. Brunson seemingly got better with each game in the postseason and could've eventually done something very special in the Conference Finals. 2022-23 was a major breakthrough campaign for Brunson, and hopefully he can take another step in his development next season.

Thu May 11 202309:42Jalen Brunson Leads The Knicks To Game 5 Win
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson exploded on Wednesday night to extend the series by at least one more game. The Villanova product finished the game with 38 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists while shooting 12-for-22 from the floor and 4-for-10 from three. He's been one of the only consistent forces for the Knicks throughout the playoffs so far, and they'll need another performance like this to grab a road win on Friday night in Miami.

Tue May 9 202309:20Jalen Brunson Records A 30-Point Double-Double Monday
New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson was fantastic against the Heat on Monday, but his 32-point, 11-assist effort wasn't enough in a 109-101 loss. Brunson joined elite Knicks company, becoming only the third player in franchise history with 30-plus points and 10-plus assists in a playoff game. He had a tough time from downtown with a 2-for-7 effort but shot a decent 10-for-21 overall from the field and was 10-for-11 at the foul line. Brunson logged 44 minutes with only one turnover and also had one steal. The 26-year-old is having a very good series and has gone for 30 points in two of the last three games, but the Knicks still find themselves facing elimination next time out.

Sat May 6 202319:26Jalen Brunson Has A Rough Game 3 Showing
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson finished with a team-high 20 points in the playoff loss to Miami. He also added eight assists and six rebounds. The former Maverick struggled shooting, going 7-for-20 from the field and 0-for-5 from deep. Even worse, he continues to be bothered by an ankle injury, meaning he'll be a risky DFS option on Monday night for Game 4.

Thu May 4 202319:47Jalen Brunson Remains Day-To-Day
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) was unable to do much during Thursday's practice, according to head coach Tom Thibodeau. The team is currently considering Brunson day-to-day with right ankle soreness. Luckily, the Knicks don't play again until Saturday, so Brunson has plenty of time to rest and recover. Possibly, the Knicks were giving Brunson and easy day in practice because they don't want to push him too hard right now. His absence would be a significant hit to the Knicks rotation. Immanuel Quickley would be asked to start if Brunson is unable to play on Saturday.

Tue May 2 202322:20Jalen Brunson Drops Game-High 30 Points On Tuesday
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) had a stellar showing in Tuesday's playoff win over the Heat. The former Maverick carried a questionable tag heading into this one. However, he looked better than ever, scoring 30 points while shooting 10-for-19 from the field and 6-for-10 from behind the arc. Brunson also had five boards and two steals, adding to what was already an impressive performance. The 26-year-old is now averaging 27.5 points in this series, so he should see plenty of interest from DFS managers on Saturday for Game 3 in Miami.

Tue May 2 202319:06Jalen Brunson, Julius Randle Both Available Tuesday
New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) and forward/center Julius Randle (ankle) are both available to play Game 2 against the Miami Heat on Tuesday. Randle will make his return after missing Game 1 while Brunson was questionable after dealing with some general soreness. Their availability could not have come at a better time with Miami taking Game 1 and Jimmy Butler (ankle) listed as out for Tuesday night. Obi Toppin will likely head to the bench with Randle back in the lineup.

Mon May 1 202319:29Jalen Brunson Listed As Questionable For Game 2
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's Game 2 against the Miami Heat. The 26-year-old has been hot through the first six games of the playoffs. Brunson is currently the leading scorer for the Knicks in the postseason, so his absence would obviously be significant. His absence would mean that Immanuel Quickley would likely slide into the starting five. Quickley would be an attractive DFS option if he's asked to start in place of Brunson.

Mon May 1 202310:36Jalen Brunson Continues 20-Point Streak
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson had a nightmare from downtown with an 0-for-7 mark in Game 1 against Miami, but he still found a way to keep his 20-point streak going. The Villanova product had 25 points on 11-for-23 overall shooting. It was truly a mixed performance for Brunson, as he did a lot of good stuff for the team, but in addition to the poor three-point shooting, he also committed five turnovers. In 40 minutes on the court, Brunson notched five rebounds and posted seven assists with one steal. Brunson has so far scored at least 20 points in all of his playoff outings this year and is averaging 24.2 points overall. He'll be counted on a lot in the series if Julius Randle (ankle) can't make a quick return.

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson led his squad with 27 points as the team opened the playoffs with a 101-97 road victory against Cleveland. The 26-year-old added two rebounds, two assists and two steals to his line in 30 minutes. With his regular minutes and better efficiency, Brunson has the potential to perform even better in the upcoming games.

Tue Apr 11 202317:00Jalen Brunson Says His Hand Is Good To Go
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (hand) has dealt with a nagging hand injury that kept him out of the team's last three games. On Tuesday, he told reporters "I'm able to do whatever I need to do." Getting him back in the fold is huge news while Julius Randle (ankle) still works his way back for their first game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday. If Randle is sidelined, Brunson would likely take on a huge chunk of the offense while the bench will try to fill the rest of the void.
