Mon May 4 201515:53Lind not in lineup Monday against Dodgers
Lind is not in the lineup Monday against the Dodgers.
Lind will sit Monday with the left-handed Clayton Kershaw toeing the rubber for the Dodgers. He's been one of the few hot bats for the Brewers over the first month of action, slashing .318/.553/.392 with four home runs and 13 RBI prior to Monday's game.
Fri May 1 201511:48Lind out of lineup for Friday's game against Cubs
Lind is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Cubs.
The 31-year-old appears to be taking a day off during an eight-game hitting streak. It hurts to lose him for one day, but it at least makes sense given the bad matchup with lefty Jon Lester of the Cubs.
Wed Apr 29 201516:22Lind 2-5 with homer and two strikeouts Wednesday against Reds
Lind went 2-for-5 with a homer and two strikeouts Wednesday against the Reds.
He's now hit safely in eight straight games, going 13-for-31 (.419) with three homers in that span, although he's also struck out nine times. Lind is having a bit of a renaissance in both power and average right now, so fantasy owners should be paying attention.
Tue Apr 28 201510:43Lind 2-3 with RBI and run scored in Monday's loss to Reds
Lind went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in Monday's loss to the Reds.
Lind has recorded at least one hit in six straight games, and is 10-for-22 (.455) over that span. Lind owns a .989 OPS against right-handers on the season, and he is even hitting left-handers early on, going 4-for-11 (.364) with a double and three RBI. He has been and will continue hitting out of the cleanup spot for the Brewers.
Thu Apr 23 201517:25Lind 3-4 with second homer Thursday against Reds
Lind went 3-for-4 with his second homer Thursday against the Reds.
He's off to a pretty strong start with the bat, as Lind's line now sits at .309 on the young season, but as an injury-prone first baseman whose power and average contributions have fluctuated wildly throughout his career, the 31-year-old is primarily of interest in deeper formats.

Lind is not in the starting lineup Saturday against the Pirates.
He'll sit against lefty Jeff Locke, while the Brewers are moving Jonathan Lucroy to first base and giving Martin Maldonado a start behind the plate Saturday.

Lind was 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBI in a losing effort against Pittsburgh on Friday night.
He has often sat against left-handed starters in the past, but the streaky Lind is red-hot right now - he's hitting .615 - so he could find himself in the lineup every day as long as he stays productive.
Thu Apr 9 201502:08Lind 2-3 with two-run home run in Wednesday's loss to Rockies
Lind went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's loss to the Rockies.
Lind is 6-for-10 with three walks in three games, though the Brewers have failed to win a game. The first baseman is hot to start the season, and it seems as though his lower-back issues from spring are not affecting him thus far.

Lind will start at first base and hit third Tuesday against the Rockies.
After hitting fifth in his Brewers debut Monday, Lind will move up to the three hole and take the place of Ryan Braun, who is out with a side injury. It's not clear where Lind will hit, or if he will even be in the lineup when the Brewers face a left-handed starter Friday for the first time this season, but expect him to continue hitting third against right-handers until Braun is able to return.

Lind had a strong Brewers debut Monday, going 3-for-4 as his new team lost to the Rockies 10-0 on Opening Day.

Wed Mar 18 201514:19Lind will make Cactus League debut at first base Wednesday
Lind will make his Cactus League debut at first base Wednesday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Lind, who's been suffering from some lower-back issues this spring, appears to have overcome the injury. However, Lind indicated it can resurface from time-to-time, so it's something to be wary of when considering him. He will bat cleanup for the Brewers on Thursday and is expected to play about three innings.

Lind (back) may play first base on Wednesday for the first time this spring, mlb.com's Adam McCalvy reports.
A lower-back issue from last season resurfaced a couple of weeks ago, limiting Lind to DH duties since he made his Cactus League debut last week. He's still expected to be available for Opening Day, as his ability to serve as designated hitter indicates the injury isn't too serious. Lind figures to hit in the middle of the lineup against right-handed pitchers, but his at-bats against southpaws may be few and far between.

Lind went 4-for-6 with a home run and two RBI while serving as the designated hitter in two spring games over the weekend.
Lind has seen just eight at-bats all spring due soreness in his lower back, but his showing over the weekend indicates he is feeling better. He is on track to see some action at first base this week, and will open the season as the Brewers' primary first baseman if he avoids any setbacks over the rest of spring training.
Thu Mar 12 201514:01Lind (back) will DH for Brewers on Wednesday
Lind (back) will DH for the Brewers on Wednesday, Tom Hardricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
While Lind will take a day off Friday after returning, he's expected to play again Saturday either as the designated hitter again or at first base. The Brewers will likely continue on a cautious route with him in spring training to avoid anything carrying over into the regular season.

Lind (back) will have his Cactus League debut pushed back to Thursday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Lind was scheduled to play Wednesday, but the Brewers decided not to work out prior to the game, and the team's medical staff wants Lind to do so before seeing game action. Lind's back injuries have slowed him early on, but he still has plenty of time to get ready for Opening Day if he can avoid any setbacks.
Mon Mar 9 201518:21Lind (back) expects to make Cactus League debut Wednesday
Lind (back) expects to make his Cactus League debut Wednesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Lind's back issue from last season resurfaced last week while fielding grounders, but he's since reported that he's noticed improvement in his lower back. It's an encouraging sign that he expects to the lineup in the near future, but it will be important to monitor how it holds up after game action.

Lind's lower-back issue is improving and he hopes to make his spring training debut in the near future, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Lind's back issue is some cause for concern given a history of issues dating back to last season. While it appears the injury is subsiding, his return date isn't assured at this point, but it sounds like it could come at some point this week if everything goes well.
Fri Mar 6 201519:09Lind's back issue resurfaced Tuesday while taking grounders
Lind's back issue resurfaced Tuesday while taking grounders, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. However, manager Ron Roenicke hopes it will only be a few days before he can return.
Lind suffered a back injury late in the 2014 campaign, and it's possible at hasn't completely subsided. The Brewers want him to get in as many reps against left-handed pitching as possible in spring training, but the issue will likely keep him off the field for at least a few days.

The Brewers want to see Lind face left-handed pitching this spring, mlb.com's Adam McCalvy reports.
It was generally assumed that the Brewers traded for Lind with a platoon in mind, and this doesn't really change the expectation. The team may see if there are any tweaks they can make, but it's hard to argue with Lind's hideous track record against southpaws. The 31-year-old produced excellent rate numbers in 2013 and 2014, but between injuries and his inability to hit lefties, Lind doesn't have a high ceiling for plate appearances.
Sat Nov 1 201414:05Adam Lind: Traded To Brewers
Lind was traded from Toronto to Milwaukee on Saturday in exchange for Marco Estrada, Blue Jays' announcer Mike Wilner reports.
The Blue Jays had just picked up Lind's $7.5 million option for 2015, so the Brewers may only have him for one season, but it definitely fills a significant hole at first base in the short term. Milwaukee will need to pair Lind with a platoon partner, as he really should only face righties, whom he slashed .354/.409/.533 against in 2014. This doesn't have a major impact on Lind's fantasy value, as he would have had a major role as the Blue Jays' DH in 2015, but it makes the Brewers' lineup against right-handed pitching noticeably better for the upcoming season.
