The Blue Jays will pick up Lind's $7.5 million option for 2015, SportsNet's Shi Davidi reports.
Lind isn't an everyday player, but he crushes right-handed pitching (.354 average with six home runs in 257 at-bats in 2014), and is an excellent option for the strong side of a designated hitter platoon.
Sat Sep 27 201413:34Lind not in lineup for Saturday's game against Orioles
Lind is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Orioles, according to John Lott of The National Post.
With left-hander Wei-Yin Chen starting for the Orioles, Lind will sit out as he regular does against southpaws. John Mayberry will get the start at first base in Lind's place.
Tue Sep 23 201416:10Lind (back) in lineup for Tuesday's game against Mariners
Lind (back) is in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners, Barry Davis of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Lind's back locked up over the weekend, forcing him to miss the final two games of the Yankees series as well as Monday's opener against Seattle. Fortunately, it seems his discomfort has subsided, as he's penciled in to man first and bat cleanup against right-hander Felix Hernandez. Lind is 5-for-22 (.227 average) with a homer in his career against Hernandez.
Mon Sep 22 201416:21Lind (back) not in lineup Monday
Lind (back) is not in the lineup Monday, Jays radio announcer Mike Wilner reports.
Lind will miss his third straight game with a back injury and John Mayberry will get the start at first base. He should still be considered day-to-day.
Sun Sep 21 201410:43Lind (back) not in lineup for Sunday's game against Yankees
Lind (back) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.
Lind's back is apparently still sore, as he will sit out Sunday for the second straight day. Dan Johnson will get the start at first base in Lind's place.
Sat Sep 20 201413:35Lind (back) will likely be unavailable off bench Saturday
Lind (back) will likely be unavailable off the bench Saturday, Barry Davis of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Lind's back has locked up, putting his availability for the next several days in question. John Mayberry is starting at first base for the Blue Jays on Saturday. The 31-year-old Lind spent a few weeks on the DL early in the season with a back issue.
Sat Sep 20 201413:01Lind not in lineup Saturday against Yankees
Lind is not in the lineup Saturday against the Yankees, Barry Davis of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Lind will head to the bench with lefty Chris Capuano on the hill for New York, as John Mayberry steps in for his first start of the year at first base. While Lind is just 3-for-his-last-14, he's still batting .364/.426/.582 with two homers and nine RBI so far in September.
Mon Sep 15 201415:54Lind not in lineup Monday against Orioles
Lind is not in the lineup Monday against the Orioles, the National Post reports.
Lind will get his first day off since mid-August, as Danny Valencia slides over to first base Monday in Baltimore. After posting a .268 average in August, Lind has a hit in 17 of 41 September at-bats (.415).
Sun Sep 14 201418:54Lind 1-4 with three-run homer in Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay
Lind went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay.
Lind, who's slashing .327/.392/.500 this season, has homered in two straight games. He's also pieced together a seven-game hitting streak. During the streak, Lind has gone 11-for-24 (.458) with a triple, two doubles and seven RBI in addition to those two home runs.

Lind was 4-for-5 with a pair of runs scored in Toronto's win over the Rays on Wednesday night.
He hasn't produced his typical power numbers (he has just four home runs) but he continues to terrorize right-handed pitchers with a .317 average. He rarely plays against southpaws so his value is limited in leagues without daily lineup changes, but he's a fantasy asset when he is in Toronto's lineup.
Fri Aug 22 201415:39Lind out of lineup Friday
Lind is out of the lineup Friday, SportsNet's Shi Davidi reports.
With lefty Drew Smyly on the mound, Lind will predictably start the game on the bench, with Edwin Encarnacion playing first base, and Nolan Reimold starting at DH. The Jays have only give Lind 32 plate apperances against southpaws this season, and with a .069 batting average in those matchups, we expect him to continue to ride the bench against lefties going forward.
Wed Aug 20 201411:47Lind out of lineup Wednesday
Lind is out of the lineup Wednesday vs. the Brewers, Brendan Kennedy of the Toronto Star reports.
Lind will be squeezed out of the lineup again Wednesday with no DH spot available. Look for him to return to regular action during the weekend series with the Rays.
Tue Aug 19 201416:18Lind out of lineup Tuesday against Brewers
Lind is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Brewers, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
The Blue Jays are without the DH option in Milwaukee and Lind will be the casualty Tuesday, with Edwin Encarnacion manning first and Juan Francisco at third against right-hander Mike Fiers. Lind, who is 4-for-14 since returning from a foot injury, will likely sit primarily against lefties moving forward.

Lind went 2-for-4 with a couple of singles, one RBI and a run scored in Friday's 11-5 loss to the White Sox.
Now 4-for-11 at the plate since this past Tuesday's return from a five-week DL stint, Lind has come back into the fold swinging a hot bat for the Blue Jays. If the 31-year-old veteran can find a way to stay healthy down the stretch, he could put up nice numbers from the middle of a strong Toronto lineup.
Tue Aug 12 201418:12Adam Lind: (Foot) Activated Tuesday
Lind (foot) has been activated from the 15-day DL for Tuesday's game and will be inserted into the lineup against Chris Young in Seattle, SportsNet's Barry Davis reports.
He has been out with the foot injury since July 8, and will presumably be inserted to the lineup at first base or DH whenever the Jays are facing a right-handed starting pitcher. He's slashing a staggering .369/.434/.570 against righties this season, and is a solid option in most formats, provided owners are aware he won't be playing on a full-time basis.
Mon Aug 11 201419:17Adam Lind: (Foot) May Be Activated Tuesday
Lind (foot) is expected to be activated from the disabled list Tuesday, Barry Davis of Sportsnet reports.
Lind hit in a simulated game earlier in the day without incident and is already en route to join the Blue Jays in Seattle. His return to action will likely displace Juan Francisco from regular duty at first base or DH.

The back issue that interrupted Lind's (foot) rehab assignment has since come to pass, and he'll reenter the lineup for the GCL Blue Jays on Saturday, Sportsnet's Barry Davis reports.
Lind missed only Friday's game as a result of the back issue, with his removal from the lineup likely only for precautionary purposes. If Lind comes through the weekend with his health intact, he'll likely rejoin the Blue Jays on Monday, when the team kicks off its three-game series with the Mariners.

Lind is out of the lineup for the Gulf Coast Blue Jays on Friday due to a back issue, Barry Davis of Sportsnet.ca reports.
The 31-year-old went 2-for-2 with two doubles in his first outing with the affiliate Thursday, but apparently his back began acting up Friday morning and he'll miss at least one start as a result. While the extent of the setback is uncertain, it does figure to delay his return to the big club, making a Monday return seem rather unlikely.
Thu Aug 7 201421:49Lind (foot) could be back with Blue Jays as early as Monday
Lind (foot) could be back with the Blue Jays as early as Monday, MLB.com's Gregor Chisholm reports.
Lind has been out of action since July 7, but smacked two doubles in his only two at-bats of a rehab game Thursday morning. An earlier return for the slugger has yet to be ruled out, but the lefty will most likely be back with the Jays at some point near the beginning of next week. Although two separate DL stints have hampered Lind's production in 2014, he does own a .320/.389/.489 slash line and four home runs over 178 at-bats. Fantasy owners awaiting his return may not be without his services for much longer, while those in need of an average and RBI boost may want to look his way after his activation.

Lind (foot) will start a rehab assignment Thursday with the Gulf Coast Blue Jays, John Lott of the National Post reports.
As expected, Lind is starting up the assignment before week's end, but it's unknown if the organization wants to see him face more experienced competition before his activation from the DL. In any case, there's a possibility that he returns during the Blue Jays' weekend series against the Tigers, but early next week in Seattle appears to be a more logical time frame.
