Wed Jun 11 201410:42Mike Aviles dealing with sore toe
Mike Aviles has been out of the lineup the last three days after stubbing his toe prior to Friday's game.
Aviles didn't let Indians manager Terry Francona know he was injured prior to the game, so he wound up playing through the ailment and could have made it worse. The good news is that Aviles is better and available to start Wednesday. "I think he was hurting a little more than he let on," Francona said. "I told him, 'I wish you would've told me. I could've protected you a little bit.'"

Sun Sep 8 201316:57Aviles tossed for arguing caught stealing
Mike Aviles was ejected from Sunday's game against the Mets for arguing after he was caught stealing in the ninth inning to end the game.
With the Indians trailing by a run in the ninth, Aviles was in motion as Drew Stubbs struck out, and was thrown out for the final out of the game. He certainly voiced his displeasure over the ruling to the umpiring crew though, as his ejection after the game had ended was virtually meaningless.
