Wed Jul 11 2012 | 09:48 | Nenad Krstic will re-sign w/ CSKA Moscow |
Nenad Krstic will re-sign with CSKA Moscow rather than exploring a return to the NBA. |
Krstic's NBA career is likely over. The seven-year veteran had a few very solid years with the Nets but hasn't been the same player since tearing his ACL in 2007. If he does ever return to the NBA, the Celtics hold his Bird Rights. |

Sun Jul 1 2012 | 14:53 | Report: Krstic will not return w/ CSKA Moscow |
Nenad Krstic will not return with CSKA Moscow, according to team president Ettore Messina. |
Presumably, Krstic will test the market in the NBA. We've yet to hear any teams linked to the free agent big man, but it's only a matter of time. |

Krstic reportedly had an offer from the Nets for next season, but he hasn't made a decision on his future. "I have the NBA option, but I'm happy in CSKA too, I will see what happens," he said. Krstic spent this season playing with CSKA Moscow. |

Wed May 30 2012 | 09:17 | Report: Nenad Krstic has offer from Nets |
Nenad Krstic reportedly has an offer from the Brooklyn Nets for next season. |
Take this one with a grain of salt. Krstic would have to pay $1 million to return to the NBA for the 2012-13 season, and it's hard to imagine the Nets shelling out the big bucks to bring Krstic to town. The report also links Andrei Kirilenko to the Nets once again. |

Fri Sep 16 2011 | 18:17 | Nenad Krstic has buyout clause in Moscow deal |
Nenad Krstic has a buyout clause in his contract with CSKA Moscow, but he'd have to pay $1 million to return to the NBA in 2012-13. |
Krstic jumped on an offer worth about $8.2 million over two years, a decision that seems wise with the NBA season in jeopardy. Any NBA team could contribute $500,000 toward his buyout, but the rest would need to be paid by Krstic. |

Thu Jun 9 2011 | 09:25 | Report: Krstic signs deal to play in Russia |
Free agent Nenad Krstic has signed a two-year deal with Russian club CSKA Moscow, according to a Serbian web site. |
The Celtics are getting really thin at center. Although Krstic isn't a difference-maker, he's still a true 7-footer with nice touch. Now Jermaine O'Neal is the only candidate to start at center for the Celtics next season. It's hard to blame Krstic, however. With a lockout looming, the free agent would have been crazy not to take a two-year, $8.7 million deal from CSKA. |

Sun May 15 2011 | 14:04 | Nenad Krstic wants to re-sign with Boston |
Impending free agent Nenad Krstic wants to re-sign with the Celtics. |
Said Krstic, "Obviously I want to see what my options are, but I definitely like the organization and I like the team. If you ask me, yes, but I don't know if they want me." Boston General Manager has stated that the team has interest in bringing him back as well, saying "he played great when he first got here, and then he hit a little slump. He wasn't playing well for a while, and then he got hurt." If he does return to the team, C's fans should hope it's not in a starting role. |

Sun Apr 17 2011 | 19:00 | Krstic dealing with new bone bruise in knee |
Nenad Krstic is hurting after suffering a minor bone bruise to his left knee in Saturday's practice. |
"I'm not 100 percent healthy because I have two bone bruises in my knees, but it's nothing really serious," said Krstic. "But I can't really say I'm 100 percent." The other bone bruise is in his right knee and was suffered in March, but without Shaquille O'Neal available, the injuries don't sound serious enough to slow Krstic down too much. |

Sat Apr 9 2011 | 00:36 | Krstic plays well as Jermaine O'Neal sits |
Nenad Krstic started with Jermaine O'Neal on the bench (rest) and had 17 points and six rebounds in 27 minutes. |
Both O'Neals (Shaq & Jermaine) are due back on Sunday, so don't get too excited about this line from Krstic. |

Wed Apr 6 2011 | 09:30 | Krstic to come off bench rest of way |
Coach Doc Rivers confirmed that he intends to bring Nenad Krstic off the bench for the rest of the season. |
Rivers would ideally like to start Shaquille O'Neal, but Jermaine O'Neal will have to do for now. This three-headed "monster" figures to share time in the playoffs, with the hot -- or healthy -- hand getting the minutes. |

Tue Apr 5 2011 | 18:33 | Nenad Krstic will return for Boston on Tues. |
Nenad Krstic (knee) will return for the Celtics on Tuesday evening against Milwaukee. |
Krstic said that he thinks he'll come off the bench as he's still a bit sore from Monday's practice, but this is definitely positive news. Owners in need of a big man could theoretically do worse, but not by much. Over his last ten games he's averaging just 6.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and shooting an anemic 44% from the floor. |

Mon Apr 4 2011 | 16:35 | Krstic makes it through Celtics practice |
Nenad Krstic (knee) participated in Celtics practice Monday and is expected to play in Tuesday's game against the Sixers. |
Krstic's knee isn't 100 percent, but he can't make it worse by playing on it. He'll likely come off the bench for limited minutes behind Jermaine O'Neal. |

Nenad Krstic won't play on Sunday, but he might return Tuesday against the Sixers. |
He wasn't a good fantasy option before the injury, and will be even less now with the return of Shaquille O'Neal and Jermaine O'Neal. |

Sat Apr 2 2011 | 18:14 | Krstic day-to-day w/ bone bruise |
Nenad Krstic is day-to-day after being diagnosed with a bone bruise in his knee. |
Krstic is "not likely to play Sunday...and perhaps could miss a few games." That's pretty much a best-case scenario for the Celtics, who need all the healthy big men they can get for the playoffs. Glen Davis is the most likely option to start at center for any games that Krstic misses, as Jermaine O'Neal likely isn't ready for heavy minutes. |

Sat Apr 2 2011 | 15:24 | MRI negative on Krstic's knee (bone bruise) |
The MRI on Nenad Krstic's knee was negative, revealing nothing worse than a bone bruise. |
The Celtics finally get a break injury-wise, though they're not exactly out of the woods. Jermaine O'Neal just returned, Krstic is ailing, Shaq may not be 100% by the playoffs, and Troy Murphy is still rehabbing his ankle injury. We should soon have a timetable for Krstic's return. |

Thu Mar 31 2011 | 23:19 | Krstic scheduled for MRI on Saturday |
The Celtics have announced that center Nenad Krstic will undergo an MRI on his knee on Saturday after the team returns to Boston. |
Everything we've heard is that the team expects the worst. Glen Davis will likely start at center if Krstic is out, and while Davis is worth watching he is not a must-own. |

Thu Mar 31 2011 | 21:41 | Krstic will not return; Rivers sounds bleak |
Nenad Krstic will miss at least the rest of Thursday's game with San Antonio, and the team is not optimistic about his immediate future. |
Coach Doc Rivers simply told a reporter that "it does not look good." If he misses games, Glen 'Big Baby' Davis will likely take the majority of the minutes, and Jermaine O'Neal and Jeff Green could also see small increase in playing time. |
