Tue Oct 5 201010:25Krstic still hasn't practiced
Nenad Krstic (finger surgery) still hasn't practiced this preseason.
Krstic just rides the exercise bike all day while watching his teammates practice. He remains on track for opening day, but the concern is that the surgery was to the index finger on his shooting hard. If Krstic can't knock down that medium-range jumper, he has no value to the Thunder or fantasy teams. We'd like to see him play in the preseason before even considering him as a late-round selection.

Tue Sep 21 201019:02Nenad Krstic has surgery on fractured finger
Nenad Krstic had surgery on Tuesday to repair a fractured index finger on his shooting hand. He will miss part of training camp but will be ready for opening night.
Krstic hurt himself in Serbia's final game of the world championships. Neither this injury nor his chair-hurling incident should impact his season, though he remains a marginal fantasy option.

Sat Sep 4 201014:26Serbia knocks off Croatia in Worlds
Nenad Krstic scored 16 points on Saturday, as his Serbian national team used a wild finish to defeat Croatia 73-72.
Aleksander Rasic scored five points for Serbia in the last 21 seconds, including the game-winning FTs when he was fouled with a second left. The victory advances the Serbian team to the quarterfinals.
Thu Aug 26 201013:28Nenad Krstic suspended for three games
Nenad Krstic has been suspended for three games and fined 45,000 euros for his role in the fight that took place in the Greece vs. Serbia game last week.
The loss of Krstic will hurt Serbia's chances, but that's what happens when you start throwing chairs. Serbia's Milos Teodosic and Greece's Antonis Fotsis and Sofoklis Schortsanitis have been suspended for two games each. The suspension is only for FIBA purposes, meaning Krstic is in no jeopardy of missing any NBA time due to the incident.

Mon Aug 23 201013:58Nenad Krstic may be suspended for Worlds
Thunder center Nenad Krstic is afraid he'll be suspended for the world championships because of his role in a bench-clearing brawl during Serbia's game against Greece.
Krstic hit a Greek player in the head with a chair, which he says he picked up in self-defense. This won't impact his role with the Thunder but it does jeopardize Serbia's chances of making it through group play this summer.

Fri Aug 20 201011:33Krstic locked up in jail after throwing chair
Nenad Krstic was detained by police overnight after throwing a chair during a brawl between Serbia and Greece on Thursday.
FIBA is reviewing the incident and will likely take action against Krstic, and possibly others. "I believe he acted in self-defense and grabbed a chair after some half-naked [Greek] fans rushed into the court," coach Dusan Ivkovic said. "The chair fell from his hand and grazed (Yannis) Bouroussis." FIBA probably won't look at the move in the same way, as it's clear the chair did more than simply fall out of his hands, and Bouroussis suffered a cut on his head as a result.

Thu Aug 19 201021:05Krstic throws chair during melee vs. Serbia
Nenad Krstic was involved in a fight that broke out on the court during Greece's "friendly" against Serbia, and at one point threw a chair into the middle of the fracas.
Thankfully nobody got seriously hurt and because of that we can all get a good laugh watching him backpedal from Sofo Schortsanitis (aka Greek Shaq) in a way reminiscent of Carmelo Anthony vs. the Knicks in 2006. This would be huge news if it happened stateside, but Krstic is likely to get a mere two-game suspension by FIBA during the World Championships.

Sun Apr 11 201020:30Krstic (knee) out for Sunday and Monday
Nenad Krstic (knee) will not play Sunday against the Warriors or Monday against the Blazers, and is doubtful for the Thunder's season finale on Wednesday against the Grizzlies.
Nick Collison will likely continue to start at center, but Serge Ibaka is the better play right now. In their last outing, Ibaka scored 15 points with nine rebounds and three blocks in 24 minutes, while Collison had just two points and three rebounds in 17 minutes. Ibaka is risky, but worth a look in deep leagues.

Fri Apr 9 201019:30Krstic won't play for Thunder
Nenad Krstic (right knee bruise) will not play against the Suns on Friday.
Nick Collison will get the nod at center. We doubt Krstic's injury is serious, but it's possible he'll rest until the playoffs. Collison is a banger without much offensive upside at this point.
