Thu Mar 22 201219:13Biedrins (groin) out on Thursday vs. HOU
Andris Biedrins (groin) will not play on Thursday against the Rockets.
Biedrins' injury might actually be in-between the ears, and regardless raw rookie Jeremy Tyler will get the start. The Warriors desperately need his size, but we'll have to see Tyler produce something worthwhile before recommending him in most formats.

Wed Mar 21 201213:35Andris Biedrins ruled out for Wednesday
Updating a previous item, Andris Biedrins (groin) has been ruled out for Wednesday against the Hornets.
David Lee is expected to start at center with Dominic McGuire seeing time as well, and we could even see some of Jeremy Tyler without Biedrins int he lineup. Lee is the biggest beneficiary from a fantasy standpoint as he'll play all the minutes he can handle.

Wed Mar 21 201212:19Andris Biedrins a game-time call vs. Hornets
Andris Biedrins (groin) is a game-time decision against the Hornets on Wednesday.
Biedrins should be nowhere near your fantasy roster at any time. Dominic McGuire played 34 minutes in Golden State's last game with Biedrins getting just five minutes of run, and he's likely to see increased playing time once again.

Tue Mar 20 201217:05Biedrins will travel w/ Warriors, day-to-day
Updating a previous item, Andris Biedrins (groin) will travel with the Warriors on their upcoming two-game road trip.
Biedrins has been diagnosed with a strained right groin and is listed as day-to-day. Considering the Warriors ridiculous lack of depth up front, Biedrins may try to gut it out. Dominic McGuire and Jeremy Tyler are the other options for Mark Jackson, at least until J.J. Hickson gets in town.

Thu Mar 15 201202:38Andris Biedrins invisible in start for GSW
Andris Biedrins started at center for the Warriors on Wednesday, but failed to score and had three rebounds and two blocks in 18 minutes.
He's worth keeping an eye on with Ekpe Udoh in Milwaukee, but it looks like David Lee is going to handle most of the minutes at center going forward.

Wed Mar 14 201203:27Biedrins steals three; blocks two vs. Kings
Andris Biedrins returned to the starting lineup with Ekpe Udoh sent packing to the Bucks, and scored six points on 3-of-4 shooting with four rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in 30 minutes.
Whether anybody likes it or not, Biedrins is set to log big minutes for the rest of the year, and who knows, maybe the situation will help him psychologically knowing he's the man. The Kings played awfully tonight, though, and owners will want to take this line with the appropriate amount of salt.

Sun Mar 11 201201:33Andris Biedrins picks up DNP-CD on Saturday
Andris Biedrins picked up a DNP-CD during Saturday's victory against the Mavericks.
Biedrins hadn't even scored since pouring in two points on Feb. 22, a span of seven games and 52 minutes. That's nothing compared to his stretch in Jan-Feb, when he scored a total of five points over eight games and 153 minutes.

Sun Mar 4 201220:37Biedrins terrible in new reserve role
Andris Biedrins came off the Warriors' bench in Sunday's loss, going scoreless with one rebound in seven minutes.
Biedrins wasn't providing fantasy value in average leagues as a starter, so this demotion doesn't have much of an effect on his usefulness. Ekpe Udoh has far more upside and is worth stashing while we see how he adjusts to the starting lineup.

Thu Feb 23 201201:54Biedrins returns to start, struggles for GSW
Andris Biedrins returned from a bout with the flu and started for the Warriors on Wednesday, but had just two points, three rebounds and a block in 18 minutes.
Ekpe Udoh is dealing with a very sore knee and aggravated the injury tonight, but could easily replace Biedrins as the team's starting center for the rest of the season. Dropping Biedrins for Udoh, who failed to score and had just four rebounds and a block tonight, still makes sense in fantasyland.

Wed Feb 22 201213:32Andris Biedrins remains starter for Warriors
Andris Biedrins, not Ekpe Udoh, will start at center for the Warriors on Wednesday.
Mark Jackson had been giving consideration to Udoh starting after he blew up in his last game, but it appears he'll stick with Biedrins for the time being. To say Biedrins has been a disappointment would be an understatement, as he's averaged 2.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in 17 minutes per game. Udoh will see increased time going forward and is still a candidate to start at some point this season.

Tue Feb 21 201215:19Andris Biedrins gets a light workout in
Andris Biedrins (flu) participated in a light workout Tuesday.
Biedrins appears to be on track to play in Wednesday's game against the Suns. The bigger question is if he'll maintain his starting gig or if Ekpe Udoh will take over. Biedrins is averaging just 2.4 points and 4.6 rebounds despite starting all 25 games he's appeared in this year.

Mon Feb 20 201222:07Biedrins (flu) out on Monday against Clips
Andris Biedrins (flu) will not play on Monday against the Clippers.
Ekpe Udoh is starting in his place, and needless to say Biedrins' absence won't be felt in too many fantasy leagues. If he could ever get over his fear of free throw shooting, it's possible he could one day have fantasy value again.

Sat Feb 18 201209:58Warriors aggressively pursuing big men
The Warriors are "aggressively pursuing" a number of centers, according to GM Larry Riley.
Golden State reportedly feel they can still land Dwight Howard, and beat writer Rusty Simmons floats a hypothetical trade of "David Lee, Monta Ellis and either [Ekpe] Udoh or Klay Thompson for Howard and Glen Davis." Such a blockbuster seems far-fetched, but the Warriors can always pull off a lesser trade or just sign a big man out of the D-League.

Sun Feb 5 201209:45Andris Biedrins invisible in Warriors offense
Andris Biedrins has attempted just five free throws (going 1-of-5) in approximately 300 minutes of action this season.
Biedrins seems to have a pathological fear of being fouled with the ball in his hands, and as a result he's usually invisible in the Warriors' offense. He's attempting just 2.3 shots per game and there is no reason to think he'll improve.

Tue Jan 31 201215:17Andris Biedrins, Jackson have a chat
Andris Biedrins and coach Mark Jackson had a chat to clear the air on Tuesday.
Biedrins complained to the media about his rapidly declining playing time on Monday. Jackson essentially wants the 7-foot Latvian to earn his minutes. "I think he's more than capable of doing what I ask of him and I think he feels the same way," Jackson said. Biedrins' hasn't sustained quality on-court production in about three years. There's little reason to think a chat will change that.

Mon Jan 30 201209:34Andris Biedrins in Mark Jackson's doghouse
Mark Jackson sounds fed up with Andris Biedrins' lack of production, and Biedrins only played nine minutes vs. the Thunder on Friday.
"I'm glad you saw the minutes," Jackson said to a reporter after the game. "Read the entire stat sheet, along the line, and it'll tell you what factored into it. I need my big guys to play." Biedrins frequently seems lost on the court, and offensively he's terrified of being sent to the FT line -- he's taken just two trips to the line in four games (going 0-of-4).

Tue Jan 17 201222:29Andris Biedrins grabs 11 rebounds in win
Andris Biedrins had just two points, but also grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds in Tuesday's win over the Cavaliers.
He also blocked a shot, and while he's worth a look in all leagues simply because he's starting at center for the Warriors, his lack of offense will be a concern all season.

Sat Jan 14 201222:22Andris Biedrins can't avoid foul trouble
Andris Biedrins started Saturday's game with eight points in eight minutes, but he also picked up three fouls during that span.
Biedrins finished with eight points and five rebounds, and this performance is another reminder (if you needed one) that he's too foul prone and inconsistent to be a reliable fantasy option. He's probably not worth owning in fantasy leagues, despite the absence of Kwame Brown.

Fri Jan 13 201202:58Biedrins (ankle) returns to action on Thu
Andris Biedrins (ankle) returned to action on Thursday against the Magic, scoring two points on 1-of-1 shooting with eight rebounds, one steal, and two blocks in 21 minutes before fouling out hacking Dwight Howard.
Biedrins is not looking at as many minutes as he can handle, assuming he can outplay an undersized Ekpe Udoh for the center minutes in Golden State. The Warriors will look for a big man on the market but they have little chance of finding an impact player, so Biedrins has a shot at value here. We know enough not to pimp him as a must-add player right now, but if you are center-desperate a flier makes sense.
