Garcia came off the bench to hit a walk-off RBI single in Saturday's 4-3 over the Tigers.
Originally inserted into the game as a pinch-runner for Melky Cabrera, Garcia wound up receiving a crucial turn at bat - hitting a game-ending single against Neftali Feliz. The walk-off hit is a nice coup for Garcia, who has otherwise played sparingly since being recalled from Triple-A Charlotte.
Tue Sep 1 201515:23Garcia recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday
Garcia was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday, Phil Rogers of MLB.com reports.
He has been up and down several times this season -- this is his fourth stint with the big club -- but Garcia has merely been a middle-infield depth option, seeing a mere six at-bats in seven games. Garcia's opportunities at the plate figure to be limited again this time around.
Fri Aug 14 201512:44Garcia optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday
Garcia was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Garcia came up to fill the void while Emilio Bonifacio was on the DL, but with Bonifacio now back with the team, Garcia will head back to Triple-A. In seven games for Chicago this season, Garcia has logged only six at-bats.
Wed Jul 29 201515:21Garcia recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday
Garcia was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday.
Garcia was optioned back to Triple-A over the weekend, but he'll return to the big league club to take the spot of Emilio Bonifacio, who hit the DL on Wednesday with an oblique injury. The 24-year-old has appeared in only one game for the White Sox this season, logging a single in his only at bat.

Garcia was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday to make roster room for Emilio Bonifacio.
Garcia's time in the major leagues was short as expected, as Bonifacio spent the minimum amount of time on the bereavement list. He appeared in just one game, taking over second base in the eighth inning of Thursday's game against the innings and picking up a hit.
Thu Jul 23 201513:31Garcia recalled from Triple-A on Thursday
Garcia was recalled from Triple-A on Thursday.
Emilio Bonifacio was placed on the bereavement list Thursday, so Garcia will come up to take his spot on the 25-man roster. Bonifacio isn't expected to miss more than a week, at the most, so Garcia's stay will likely be short.
Tue Mar 24 201513:39Garcia optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday
Garcia was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, the Chicago Sun-Times' Daryl Van Schouwen reports.
Garcia essentially offered the same thing as Emilio Bonifacio, as the White Sox have no shortage of utility options on the roster. He will continue to offer organizational depth in the infield and in center field, and will likely need an injury to someone on the big league club to get a call-up.
Sun Mar 8 201510:01Garcia 2-2 in White Sox's loss to Mariners on Saturday
Garcia went 2-for-2 in the White Sox's loss to the Mariners on Saturday.
Garcia has played in three of the Sox's four Cactus League games through Saturday. Two of those games were played in the outfield, one at second base. Garcia was the team's uber utility guy in 2014, but Emilio Bonifacio is expected to fill that role in 2015. Garcia may be able to sneak onto the active roster as a second utility guy/reserve outfielder, but it is equally likely he receives a demotion to Triple-A Charlotte.

Garcia should see more time at second base in the wake of Gordon Beckham's departure to the Angels.
Garcia has a 21 OPS+ on the season, but he has stuck around largely because he has played every defensive position other than first base and catcher. Garcia also brings some speed to the basepaths (10 steals in 11 attempts), but he has been on base too infrequently to be a steady source of those. He should share time at second with the freshly-recalled Carlos Sanchez, and Marcus Semien should re-enter the picture come Sept. 1.
Wed Apr 23 201422:12Garcia logs two hits, swipes a bag in Sox win
Leury Garcia went 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base as the White Sox defeated the Tigers on Wednesday.
Garcia hasn't been terribly productive with the bat as he notched his first multi-hit game since April 2. He swiped his third bag of the season, but was also thrown out on another attempt, making him 3-for-4 on the season.

Thu Apr 17 201401:39White Sox infielder Leury Garcia takes loss
With the White Sox out of pitchers, Leury Garcia took a loss in the 14th inning Wednesday against the Red Sox.
Rather than extend Daniel Webb past three innings, the White Sox went to Garcia in a tie game. He actually got two quick outs, but he then walked two and gave up a two-run double to Jackie Bradley Jr.

Sat Mar 22 201423:19Garcia steals second base of spring Saturday
Leury Garcia went 1-for-3 with a stolen base against the Padres on Saturday.
Garcia is batting just .259 in his first spring with the White Sox after coming over in the Alex Rios trade last season. The infielder has a chance to make the team in a utility role, and he's viewed as Alexei Ramirez' future successor.

Thu Sep 12 201300:04Garcia steals two bases in loss to Tigers
Leury Garcia went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases against the Tigers on Wednesday.
Batting leadoff, Garcia collected three of the team's five hits on the night. His two stolen bases gave him five on the year and four since being acquired by the White Sox. His .200/.261/.225 line makes him tough to roster in any league, but his speed gives him value in AL-only formats.

Sat Sep 7 201308:59Leury Garcia will get opportunity to play
White Sox manager Robin Ventura said Friday that Leury Garcia is likely to get significant playing time over the final three weeks of the regular season.
Garcia, acquired from the Rangers in the Alex Rios trade, is hitting just .133/.222/.133 with an RBI and two steals in 15 at-bats since coming to the White Sox. If he is to play semi-regularly down the stretch, his speed could make him a useful asset in AL-only leagues.

White Sox recalled INF Leury Garcia from Triple-A Charlotte.
Garcia was acquired from the Rangers earlier this month in the Alex Rios trade. The athletic 22-year-old could take on fantasy value as a base-stealer if he gets enough playing time on the south side of Chicago.

Fri Aug 9 201314:33Leury Garcia headed to Chicago in Rios deal
MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan reports that the Rangers will send Leury Garcia to the White Sox in the Alex Rios deal.
They're announcing it as a player to be named later now only so Garcia doesn't have to pass through waivers. Garcia has some speed and should have a future as a utility player, but he's only a career .261/.310/.347 hitter in the minors, so the Rangers didn't give up much.

Tue Mar 26 201315:41Garcia wins spot on Rangers' bench
Leury Garcia has won a spot on the Rangers' bench.
Garcia, 22, is batting .231 (6-for-26) with one home run, two doubles and one stolen base in 14 games this spring. He has some speed, but it's unlikely he'll have any fantasy value as a utility infielder.

Fri Feb 22 201322:34Leury Garcia added to Dominican WBC roster
Rangers prospect Leury Garcia has been added to the Dominican Republic's roster for the World Baseball Classic.
The 21-year-old second baseman hit .292/.337/.398 with 31 stolen bases in 100 games at Double-A Frisco in 2012. While he's never played above Double-A, he's a candidate to earn a reserve infielder job with the Rangers this spring.
