Bell carried 23 times for 91 yards with two TDs and caught two passes for 16 yards in Thursday's 34-17 win over the Bears.
Though Reggie Bush could be back in Week 14, we'd expect him to work in a complementary role upon his return, with Bell likely to continue to head the Lions' backfield in the coming weeks, thus maintaining fantasy utility down the stretch.

Bell had 19 carries for 48 yards and one catch for minus-2 yards in Sunday's 34-9 loss to the Patriots.
Even with the Patriots jumping out to a big first-half lead, Bell still managed to get 19 carries. Unfortunately, he averaged just 2.5 yards a pop, a far cry from last week's 6.1 average against the Cardinals. Regardless of whether Reggie Bush has been active or inactive (as he was Sunday), Bell's workload has remained pretty steady, so he remains a good bet to get a significant chunk of the workload on Thanksgiving against the Bears, even if Bush is able to return.

Bell (ankle) is listed as active for Sunday's game against New England.
With Reggie Bush out, Bell is slated to head the Lions' Week 12 backfield after recording 85 yards on 14 carries in Week 11's loss to the Cardinals, with Theo Riddick in line to work in a complementary role Sunday.
Fri Nov 21 201416:33Bell (ankle) probable for Sunday's game against New England
Bell (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against New England.
Bell practiced all week and his status for Sunday was never in serious question, so his probable status comes as no surprise. Reggie Bush (ankle) remains questionable after a week of limited practices, so Bell is likely locked in to the lead running back role in Detroit for now, which probably makes him an RB2 consideration in most formats.
Thu Nov 20 201417:44Joique Bell: (Ankle) Limited Thursday
Bell (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Fellow back Reggie Bush continued his limited showings in drills, meaning Bell and Bush will likely work in their intended tandem out of the backfield Sunday in New England. Expect Bell to take on most of the carries, with Bush serving as a dual threat out of the Lions' backfield.
Thu Nov 20 201415:03Joique Bell: (Ankle) Returns to Practice Thursday
Bell (ankle) returned to practice Thursday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Bell's absence Wednesday was seemingly a maintenance day for his ankle, which spurred his placement on the injury report. With Reggie Bush (ankle) on track to play Sunday at New England, the usual split of the RB workload is the likely scenario, meaning Bell should handle most of the carries while Bush acts as the change-of-pace back. Nevertheless, continue to monitor the situation as the week of preparation unfolds.
Wed Nov 19 201417:39Joique Bell: (Ankle) No Practice Wednesday
Bell didn't practice Wednesday due to an injured ankle, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Bell joins Reggie Bush on the injury report with an ankle injury, with the latter fitting in a limited practice. Because the severity of Bell's ailment is unclear, keep a close eye on the Lions' running back situation as the week unfolds.
Wed Nov 19 201414:58Joique Bell: (Undisclosed) Doesn't Practice Wednesday
Bell (undisclosed) didn't take part in Wednesday's practice, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
Bell has been the Lions' workhorse back for much of the season due to Reggie Bush's lingering ankle concern, receiving at least 14 carries in four of the past five games. However, an injury of his own has spurred a DNP, placing Bell's Week 12 availability at New England in question.

Bell had 14 carries for 85 yards and caught 3-of-5 targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 14-6 loss at Arizona.
While Bell didn't score a touchdown, he had a nice game against an incredibly stingy rush defense, ripping off a 33-yard run in the first half. Reggie Bush (ankle) is likely to return next week at New England, but Bell should still see plenty of work, notably in the red zone, as he's served as Detroit's goal-line back all season.

Bell had 10 carries for 44 rushing yards and two catches on three targets for 37 receiving yards Sunday against the Dolphins.
The production wasn't terribly prolific, but Bell finished with three more carries than Reggie Bush and Theo Riddick combined. Bush may have aggravated his ankle injury, which will only help Bell continue to get a bigger piece of the rushing load. Unfortunately, the Lions next face off against a Cardinals defense allowing the third-fewest rushing yards per game this season.

Bell had 14 carries for 39 rushing yards and two catches on three targets for 22 receiving yards Sunday against the Falcons in London.
Bell got the start in place of the injured Reggie Bush (ankle), and while he dominated the carries, backup Theo Riddick put in a huge performance, catching eight passes on 12 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown. Bush may be able to return in Week 10 after their Week 9 bye, which could cut into Bell's touches out of the backfield, with Riddick possibly taking some of his snaps on passing plays.

Bell had 18 carries for 48 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well as two catches on five targets for 19 receiving yards Sunday against the Saints.
Despite the return of Reggie Bush from an ankle injury, Bell finished with 14 more carries, including the goal-line touch in the third quarter that resulted in his one-yard touchdown. The team has not said if Bush re-injured his ankle, but he was barely used in the second half which greatly benefitted Bell's fantasy value. Up next is a trip to London to face a Falcons' defense that is not only allowing the fifth-most rushing yards per game this season, but also came into Sunday having given up 12 rushing touchdowns, five more than the next highest team.
Sun Oct 12 201417:36Bell had 18 carries for 74 rushing yards and touchdown, as well ...
Bell, who did not play in Week 5 against the Bills due to a concussion suffered in Week 4 against the Jets, had 18 carries for 74 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well as two catches on three targets for 23 receiving yards in Sunday's 17-3 win over the Vikings.
Starting in place of the injured Reggie Bush (ankle), Bell dominated the touches out of the backfield, ceding five carries to George Winn and three to Theo Riddick, though the latter had five catches on six targets for 75 yards and a touchdown before leaving with a hamstring injury. Bush was unable to practice this week and if he is unable to do so next week, Bell could be in line for another start in Week 7 against the Saints.
Sun Oct 12 201411:41Joique Bell: (Concussion) Active Sunday
Bell (concussion) is active for Sunday's game at Minnesota, the Lions' official site reports.
The reins of the Lions' backfield are fully in Bell's hands with Reggie Bush (ankle) out of the picture. During Bush's pair of DNPs last year, Bell averaged 21.5 carries for 66 yards and four catches (on six targets) for 63.5 yards, with one rushing touchdown apiece in each outing.
Fri Oct 10 201416:00Joique Bell: (Concussion) Probable Against Vikes
Bell (concussion) is probable for Sunday's game against Minnesota.
Bell will hopefully make up for lost time this week for his owners, as Reggie Bush (ankle) did not practice all week, leaving open the possibility of Bell seeing a heavier workload than usual. The Vikings run defense has been only average to this point, and Bell might see more passing game targets with Calvin Johnson (ankle) doubtful.
Wed Oct 8 201416:57Joique Bell: (Concussion) Practices Fully Wednesday
Bell (concussion) practiced fully Wednesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Bell's activity level substantiates the fact that he was cleared for physical activity late last week. With Reggie Bush (ankle) ailing, Bell could be heading the backfield once Sunday arrives. Even if Bush's status isn't decided by the end of the week, Bell seems poised to handle most of the RB work.
Wed Oct 8 201408:06Joique Bell: (Concussion) Returns To Practice Wednesday
Bell (concussion) returned to practice Wednesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Despite receiving clearance for physical activity late last week, Bell failed to take the field Sunday against the Bills. On Wednesday, though, Bell and Theo Riddick (hamstring) fit in some activity, while Reggie Bush (ankle) remained on the sideline. Clearly, Bell would be the No. 1 option, if the preceding holds through Sunday's outing at Minnesota, but the week of preparation will ultimately determine the RB pecking order.
Tue Oct 7 201411:34Though Bell (concussion) cleared for physical activity last week
Though Bell (concussion) was cleared for physical activity last week, the running back indicated that he isn't sure if will be cleared for contact drills this week, the Detroit Free Press reports.
Bell's progress is thus worth monitoring closely in the coming days, especially with teammate Reggie Bush dealing with an ankle injury and Theo Riddick also banged up. Bell is, however, feeling better at this stage and remains hopeful with regard to his status for Sunday's game against the Vikings. "Yeah, I'm feeling real good," Bell said Monday. "Do I hope to play? I hope to play every week." More on the status of the injured Lions' running backs once the team practices on Wednesday.
Mon Oct 6 201418:32Joique Bell: (Concussion) Could Return Sunday
Bell (concussion) could return to action as soon as Sunday against the Vikings, mlive.com reports.
The report notes that Bell was cleared late last week for physical activity, and if he is able to absorb contact at practice this week, he could potentially suit up this coming weekend. His possible return comes at a good time, with fellow RB Reggie Bush day-to-day with an ankle injury.
Fri Oct 3 201416:08Joique Bell: (Concussion) Ruled Out
Bell (concussion) is out for Sunday's game against Buffalo.
With Bell out, the Lions will likely give a bigger workload to Reggie Bush. With Theo Riddick (hamstring) also out, the Lions might head into Sunday with practice squad pickup George Winn as the second running back. It's shaping up to be an ideal on-paper setting for Bush on Sunday.
